Than profile c12 from c8. Characteristics and dimensions of C8 corrugated sheets, types of polymer coatings, prices and fastening rules. Price range on the building materials market

Corrugated sheet C8-1150 is one of the most versatile profiles, widely used in modern construction. C8 corrugated sheet is the most economical corrugated sheet; it is used as a wall facing material, as well as for the construction of fences and installation suspended ceilings. Despite the fact that its load-bearing capacity is relatively small, galvanized C8 corrugated sheets are often used for installation of roofing coverings pitched roofs with an inclination angle of more than 30-40°.

Production of C8 corrugated sheets: main dimensions and quality requirements for finished products

C8 corrugated sheets for fences and roofing are made by cold rolling in accordance with GOST 24045-94 and TU 1122-079-02494680-01 from thin sheet steel, with a thickness of 0.5 to 0.7 mm. The following raw materials are used:

  1. Cold rolled steel coils grades 01 and 220-350 according to GOST R 52246-2004 with zinc protective coating according to GOST 14918.
  2. Galvanized steel with polymer coating according to GOST R 52146-2003 and steel with paint and varnish coating according to GOST 30246.

The line on which galvanized C-8 corrugated sheets are produced includes the following equipment:

  • an unwinder on which a roll of sheet steel is installed;
  • forming machine (often called a rolling mill);
  • guillotine shears;
  • receiving device;
  • oil station;
  • remote control with automatic control system.

The entire production process is fully automated; the function of shift personnel is to control the production process and monitor the operation of the equipment.

Profiled sheet S-8 – profile dimensions

Profiled sheet c-8 has a surface with corrugations in the form of trapezoids with a height of 8 mm, a base width of 62.5 mm and a distance between corrugations of 52.5 mm. On modern rolling mills producing C8 corrugated sheets, sheet sizes finished products can be from 0.5 to 12 m.

The standard regulates the following requirements for the characteristics of metal profiled sheet C8:

  1. Corrugated roofing sheet C8 on the front side may have minor abrasions and damage that do not affect its integrity protective coating.
  2. Profiled sheet S-8 may have the following deviations: profile height ±1.0 mm, sheet width ±8.0 mm and sheet length ±10.0 mm.
  3. Corrugated sheeting for the S-8 fence should not have a crescent shape of more than 1.0 mm per 1.0 m of profile length for a sheet length of up to 6.0 m and no more than 1.5 mm for a sheet length of more than 6.0 m.
  4. 8 mm corrugated sheeting should not have sheet waviness on flat areas of more than 1.5 mm and 3.0 mm on the bends of the sheet edges.

Galvanized corrugated sheet C-8 is marked in accordance with the requirements of GOST 24045-94. Thus, the designation “profiled sheet S-8-1150-0.5” is deciphered as follows:

  • C - wall;
  • 8 — profile trapezoid height, mm;
  • 1150 — useful (working) profile width;
  • 0.5 — metal thickness of the original rolled steel billet;

Application of C8 corrugated sheets

C8 corrugated sheet is not used in load-bearing structures, since the ability of the profiled sheet to withstand the load depends on the height of the wave, and 8 mm is smallest value. Therefore, such corrugated sheeting is mainly used for the following tasks:

  • finishing of building facades;
  • production of sandwich panels;
  • production of auxiliary buildings on sites by private developers: warehouse, barn, utility block, shower, toilet and others;
  • construction of fences in areas where strong gusty winds are not typical.

To solve these problems, C8 profiled sheet with a polymer coating is especially relevant. It is aesthetically pleasing and has a longer service life than the galvanized version. Thus, polyester applied to C8 corrugated sheeting extends its service life from 10-15 years to 20-30, that is, approximately twice. If you use pural as a coating, then the service life of the profiled sheet can easily reach 50 years or more.

In addition to the increased service life, C8 corrugated sheeting with a polymer coating made of plastisol is resistant to mechanical damage, since the protective coating is applied in a layer of 200 microns. This profiled sheet is good for use in areas characterized by hail, frequent dust storms and other atmospheric phenomena that can damage the surface of the material.

Profiled sheet C-8 with a polymer coating made of PVDF is not so protected from mechanical damage, but it is chemically resistant to acids, alkalis and other active substances. Therefore, such corrugated sheeting is used in industrial regions, especially if production is chemical, near busy highways and on the banks of salty reservoirs.

In addition, S-8 polymer corrugated sheeting can be double-sided, so the fence will look equally good both outside and inside. In addition, double-sided coating extends service life.

Profiled sheeting S-8 - technical characteristics and dimensions

Profiled sheet C8, due to its low weight, is very convenient to install. For example, when constructing a fence from corrugated sheet C8-1150-0.6, the weight of one square meter of fencing will be only 5.57 kg. The same applies to the roof, but what less weight roofing, the cheaper the rafter system.

The cutting dimensions of C8 corrugated sheets can be from 0.5 to 12.0 m, which makes it possible to reduce to a minimum the number of installation joints when using this material for roofing of residential buildings. How much corrugated sheet C8 weighs can be seen in the table below.

Working width profiled sheet C8 is defined as the difference between the full width and the amount of installation longitudinal overlap with adjacent sheets.

When calculating the purchase volume of C8 corrugated sheets, the weight of the batch is determined as follows: the mass of C-8 corrugated sheets is multiplied by the length (area) of the sheet and by the total number of sheets.

The table below shows the data necessary to calculate the strength of structures made from C8 corrugated sheets.

Notes

  1. The table shows the cost of profiled sheets made from rolled steel grade 01 in accordance with GOST R 52246-2004 (ON steel in accordance with GOST 14918-80).
  2. For painted profiled sheet S-8, the price is indicated for a profile with a polymer coating made of polyester.
  3. When calculating the costs of C8 corrugated sheeting, the price per sheet is determined by multiplying the price of one linear meter to the length of the corrugated sheet.

In the table below, the cost of C8 corrugated sheets is indicated based on average market prices. You can buy C8 corrugated sheeting by first checking its cost at the time of purchase from the seller or a regional representative of the corrugated sheeting manufacturer.

S-8 corrugated sheeting with a polymer coating is more expensive than galvanized sheeting, and the price can differ by 20% or 200% - it all depends on the type of polymer used. Thus, the most expensive pural costs 500-550 rubles per 1 m² with a metal profile thickness of 0.5 mm, which is more than twice the price of a simply galvanized version. On the other hand, the price for C8 corrugated sheeting with polyester coating is shown in the table, and the difference is only 30%.

When buying a C8 profiled sheet, the price of which is significantly lower than the market average, be sure to request a certificate in order to check the origin of the product using the batch number.

Sometimes corrugated sheeting manufacturers sell substandard products at reduced prices. This material can be used to install a fence on the internal boundaries of the site or to build sheds and various outbuildings. However, do not purchase C8 polymer corrugated sheeting if its surface is damaged - in this case it will corrode very quickly and will not last very long.

By combining C8 corrugated sheets of various colors and shades, you will make your house attractive and elegant, and fencing your garden plot from this material will be quite durable and reliable.

Profiled sheets, otherwise called corrugated sheets, are widely used in the construction industry. There are many types of such products with different purposes. They differ in profile type and size, external coating and other characteristics.

Let's consider the most popular type of profiled material - C8 corrugated sheeting, the features of its production, as well as characteristics, standard sizes and scope of application.

Technical characteristics and dimensions of C8 corrugated sheets

The C8 sheet profile has the appearance of a trapezoidal corrugated surface. The height of each corrugation is 8 mm, the base of the trapezoid corresponds to 62.5 mm. The distance between adjacent waves is 52.5 mm.

The schematic drawing shows the C8 profile indicating the main dimensions:

An important characteristic is not only the overall width finished sheet, but also the width of its working (useful) part. It is equal to the total width of the product minus its overlap on adjacent sheets.

  • With a total width of 1200 mm, the working area will be 1150 mm.
  • The distance between adjacent corrugations (wave pitch) also plays a role; it is equal to 115 mm.
  • The thickness of the C8 profile metal sheet varies from 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm.
  • Product length – from 0.5 m to 12 m.
  • Depending on the thickness of the sheet, the weight of 1 m 2 of the product differs; the maximum it can reach is 5.6 kg/m 2.

Distinctive feature profile C8 is the identity of the shape of the corrugation elements on both sides.

This product comes in two types: galvanized and polymer-coated. It serves to protect the product and at the same time performs a decorative role. The coating can be applied on one or both sides of the sheet. By painting the profile surface, completely different color shades are given.

Products with one-sided coating are intended mainly for roofing light structures that are not subject to heavy loads.

Production of C8 corrugated sheets

C8 sheets are produced from galvanized cold-rolled steel coils of grades 220 – 350 and 01, manufactured according to regulatory documents GOST 14918 and GOST 30246.

  • GOST 14918 applies to galvanized cold-rolled steel and contains requirements for its high-quality production.
  • GOST 30246 applies to rolled steel with a protective polymer coating, which is applied on automated metal painting lines. Finished painted steel in roll form supplied for the manufacture of profiled products.

Roll thickness sheet metal is 0.5 – 07 mm.

Using cold rolling on special mills, the prepared coiled metal is given a characteristic profile shape.

Main elements production line are:

  1. drum device for automatic unwinding and feeding of rolled steel;
  2. forming roller mill;
  3. guillotine for cutting sheets;
  4. sheet receiving device;
  5. control panel for the entire process.

The technology for manufacturing profiled sheets is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. The rolled steel is placed in a drum unwinding device, from where it is fed to the profile rolling line.
  2. By adjusting the mill rollers, a given product profile is created.
  3. After obtaining the desired profile and bringing it to the specified dimensions, the semi-finished sheet product is fed to the cutting point along the length of the product using guillotine shears.
  4. The cut sheets are fed into the receiving device, where they are folded into bundles.

The profiled sheet C8 has the designation according to GOST 24045-94 “profiled sheet C-8-1150-0.5”, which has the following interpretation:

  • C – wall (purpose of material);
  • 8 – height of the corrugation trapezoid;
  • 1150 – working (useful) sheet width;
  • 0.5 – thickness of the original rolled metal sheet.

Quality requirements and methods for checking them

In accordance with the current standard, C8 profile sheets are subject to the following requirements:

  • the product can have a profile height variation from -1.0 to +1.0 mm;
  • deviations are permissible for sheet width + 8.0 mm, and for length + 10.0 mm;
  • for a sheet having a length of less than 6.0 m, the curvature should not exceed 1.0 mm per meter of length, and for a sheet over 6.0 m, it should not exceed 1.5 mm;
  • unevenness (waviness) in flat places should not be more than 1.5 mm, and on edge bends more than 3.0 mm;
  • for profiled sheet C8 with a polymer outer layer, small dents are allowed on the outer surface of the polymer that do not destroy the coating;
  • back side products with one-sided coating, as well as the surface of galvanized sheets, should not have damage that violates its integrity and deteriorates the quality of the entire product. Damage with a depth of no more than 0.5 mm and a diameter of less than 10 mm is allowed.
  • There are no cracks or deep scratches on the surface of the product.

What is the difference between C8 and C20

Based on the markings, the C20 corrugated sheet differs from the C8 product, first of all, in the height of the corrugation. For this profile it is 18 - 20 mm.

There are differences in other parameters as well. The total width corresponds to 1.15 m, the useful width is 1.10 m. The profile thickness is from 0.45 to 0.7 mm. Wave pitch – 137.5 mm.

Despite the fact that both materials are wall materials, C20 has a greater load-bearing capacity due to high profile corrugations that act as stiffeners. This expands the application possibilities of the C20 product. In addition to being used for walls, C20 is successfully used when installing roofs of residential and industrial buildings. In addition, the deep profile gutter is convenient for water drainage.

Options for using C8 in construction

Due to the minimum size of the corrugation height, the C8-1150 product has a low load-bearing capacity. This profiled sheet is not able to withstand significant static impacts, so the main purpose of these products is wall cladding. They are used for the following purposes:

  • for finishing facades various buildings: residential buildings, industrial and public buildings, cottages and country houses;
  • for the manufacture of fences and enclosing structures in places where wind exposure is low;
  • in the production of sandwich panels;
  • for the construction of small outbuildings: change houses, temporary buildings, toilet stalls, sheds and garage doors.

C8-1150 corrugated sheeting can be used with caution when constructing a roof. In this case, it is necessary to comply with the following condition: the roof slope should not exceed 40 - 45 degrees.

To increase bearing capacity When using this material for roofing, it is necessary to build a reinforced frame of rafters and sheathing. In addition, it is advisable to use polymer-coated products for roofing. They are more resistant to corrosion and mechanical damage.

Price range on the building materials market

One of the essential characteristics of any material in the construction industry is its price. For C8 corrugated sheets, this is its advantage, because in comparison with others profile products quite low. The cost per square meter of this material is different regions Russia and neighboring countries have a small spread.

The cost is significantly influenced by the manufacturer of corrugated sheets. Promoted brands are more expensive than products produced by unknown companies. This is understandable, since they have proven themselves by manufacturing high-quality products that have been in use for many years.

In high quality products such brands, like atalogue, fine, stone, lang and the like, there is no doubt.

On the building materials market you can find C8 profile sheets made in China, Korea, and Ukraine. Large Russian manufacturers of rolled metal products have proven themselves well, supplying corrugated sheets at wholesale prices.

The price of C8 corrugated sheeting, which has a polymer coating, is higher than the same product made of galvanized steel. It may differ by 20 - 30%.

The average price of 1 m 2 of galvanized sheet, depending on its thickness, can range from 190 to 300 rubles. The price of coated products can vary from 270 to 350 rubles. for square meter.

The price range depends not only on the presence or absence of coverage, but also on the type of coverage. For example, the highest price for a product with a thickness of 0.5 mm with expensive coating, has a price of up to 500 rubles/m 2. This is almost 2 times higher than the price of a simple galvanized product.

C8 corrugated sheet is rightfully one of the sought-after brands; it is valued for its combination of lightness, strength, good corrosion protection and affordable cost. These products do not have self-supporting capabilities, but their rigidity is sufficient for cladding walls, erecting fences, partitions and other structures. Their performance depends on the thickness and quality of the metal used and the type of coating.

This variety is manufactured by cold rolling and has the lowest profile height - within 8 mm. The range includes galvanized and painted products made of thin sheet steel with a total width of up to 1250 mm (usable - 1150, which corresponds to 9-10 corrugations), lengths from 0.5 to 12 m. Technical Parameters regulated by GOST 24045-2016, the main ones taken into account during purchase, installation and operation include:

  • The thickness of the corrugated sheet and the grade of steel. This indicator depends on the integrity of the manufacturer, varies from 0.4 to 0.8 mm.
  • Geometric accuracy and integrity of the protective coating. In the absence of requirements for metal in areas of curvature and the use of products with minor abrasions and defects is allowed, dimensional deviations for these products are strictly regulated; the height limit does not exceed ±1 mm, the width – ±8, and the length – ±10. The profile parameters are also strictly controlled - the maximum permissible waviness is 1.5 mm, the pitch must be uniform.
  • Weight 1 m2 and 1 l.m. They directly depend on the thickness; the minimum acceptable values are indicated in the tables of GOST 24045-2016. The average weight of corrugated sheet C8-0.5 is 5.42 kg.
  • The optimal cutting step is 50 mm (taking into account the standard distance between waves of 52.2 mm).
  • Galvanization level (also known as sheet density). On standard value the type of coating affects and varies from 140 to 275 g/cm2, the higher this characteristic, the better. Products with galvanization less than 140 g/m2 will last no longer than a year.
  • Gloss level, %.
  • Maximum temperature operation without loss beneficial properties and aesthetics – up to 120 °C.
  • Manufacturer's warranty.

Many builders evaluate quality by density or degree of galvanization. Depending on the thickness of the protective layer and the proportion of zinc in it, three classes are distinguished: the first has minimal resistance to corrosion, the second can withstand medium impacts, and the third is designed for use in extreme conditions. Group 1 includes galvanized corrugated sheets with a gray film with a thickness of 25 to 30 microns, applied hot. It is impervious to air and water, but due to its poor abrasion resistance, its service life leaves much to be desired.

The technical characteristics of painted single- or double-sided varieties are regulated by GOST 30246-2016. The outer layer performs protective and decorative functions, the color palette corresponds to the RAL catalog. The level of galvanization in such grades reaches 40-60 microns, they have maximum resistance to precipitation and UV. The basis varies best results observed in polyester, plastisol, pural and similar polymer coatings.

Scope and features of application

The letter “C” in the profile marking stands for “wall”, taking into account the requirements building codes such rental cannot be used for the construction load-bearing structures or as a roofing material. In practice, this limitation is often ignored; with low wind loads, C8 corrugated sheeting is purchased to protect roofs with a slope of more than 30-40°. TO alternative options Installation is referred to as continuous sheathing. Main area includes:

  • Production of non-flammable sandwich panels and similar multilayer structures.
  • Cladding of the facade, internal and external walls, including insulated ones. The demand is explained by both the affordable price and the minimal load on supports and foundations.
  • Construction of fences, temporary buildings, garages, hangars, production and storage facilities, sheds, kiosks.
  • Laying panel structures.
  • Upholstery of chimneys, strengthening of fire safety in workshops.
  • Assembly of ventilation shafts.

The scope of application is directly determined by the quality of corrosion protection. Profiled sheets with a polymer coating are characterized by increased resistance to moisture and ultraviolet radiation and are many times more decorative than conventional brands. It is recommended to buy them for finishing, maximum effect achieved by using panels that imitate natural wood, stone, brick. This group, in turn, is divided into elements with a single- and double-sided layer, the former are represented by a wider range of colors, the latter are valued for their equally attractive appearance on both sides.

Regular galvanized corrugated sheeting is ideal for the construction of temporary structures: from fencing sites to building sheds and portable garages. If there are low or no requirements for aesthetics, the use of substandard sheets with minor deviations in size or other defects is allowed. If necessary, the service life can be extended by simple painting, but these measures are taken in the initial stages of operation.

Profiled sheets are most often installed vertically; the presence of sheathing or supports is a prerequisite for its installation technology. This material is not recommended for cutting using grinders, with the exception of circular saws. Ignoring this point leads to the formation of scorched spots on the zinc coating. S-8 is attached or connected to each other using metal screws or rivets; the screw heads are not screwed in completely. This variety is easy to bend, but it is not recommended. Restrictions also include construction in areas with high vibration.

The required amount of C8 corrugated sheeting is calculated taking into account its useful width and the amount of overlap. Depending on the type of design, it is purchased with a 5-15% reserve. Dimensions and performance characteristics are checked for compliance with the markings and accompanying documentation. The color is chosen in advance, it must be combined with others finishing materials and the surrounding landscape. With low requirements for aesthetics and limited budget The usual galvanized gray grades are sufficient; if necessary, they can be painted later.

The main attention is paid to the integrity of the anti-corrosion coating and the absence of obvious defects. The maximum permissible diameter of dents is 10 mm, their number per 1 m2 should not exceed 2, the same applies to deep scratches. Possible substandard conditions include peeling and strongly curved edges. For unpainted galvanized grades, white stains on the surface are a sign of defect.

Besides visual inspection It is worth checking the compliance of the declared thickness and weight with the standard value. A downward deviation indicates poor quality of the rolled product; the material will not withstand the expected loads. If you have a micrometer, it is advisable to check the uniformity of the sheet along the entire cut line; measurements are taken at at least three points.

The presence and data of the certificate are checked in mandatory, taking into account the high price of S-8 corrugated sheeting with polymer protection, you can purchase a fake or substandard one in any unofficial store. Conditions for loading, delivery and unloading are negotiated separately; the panels themselves weigh little, but they are difficult to carry uncut. It is easier for private developers to cut them in a warehouse.

Almost all rolled metal manufacturers offer to buy profiled sheets with this wave size. Best reviews has products from the Metal Profile, Grand Line, Tavros, SPK, Promintekh, Stinerge, Still-Pass factories, sold wholesale and retail. If necessary, the material is cut into pieces of the required size from 0.5 to 12 m in length (including diagonally). When comparing the proposed prices, attention is paid to the specified units of measurement; each company has its own (price per sheet, 1 m2 or 1 linear meter).

Corrugated sheeting is the most used material in construction. Essentially, profiled flooring is a sheet of galvanized metal, covered with a polymer film and having a relief profile. At its core, a profiled sheet is a thin sheet of metal with extruded longitudinal recesses. Thanks to the profile, the sheet acquires rigidity, which allows it not to vibrate, sag or sag. These properties make possible use of this building material to impart spatial strength without the use of an additional frame. Profiled sheet, or as it is sometimes called, corrugated sheet, is manufactured in a factory. The video below will give you an idea of the production process.

  • durability;
  • strength;
  • ease of installation;
  • low weight;
  • ease of storage and transportation;
  • design;
  • environmental friendliness.

Types of corrugated sheets

This building material is distinguished by type of application and by polymer material which covers the sheet. The marking uses letter designations indicating the main area of application: “C” - wall, “H” - load-bearing, and “NS” - load-bearing wall. Wall profiled sheets are used for cladding the facades of buildings and structures, erecting fences and how roofing. The small thickness of the metal makes installation easier and faster. Load-bearing corrugated sheeting is used as floor and ceiling cladding, interfloor covering and in the construction of floors. This sheet is often used in the construction of garages, hangars, prefabricated production premises. Load-bearing wall can be called universal material, it can withstand loads higher than other brands of flooring and is used in all of the above cases.

Basic parameters of the profiled sheet

The thickness of the sheet, depending on the brand, can be from 0.4 to 1.5 mm. Weight of zinc coating per 1 sq. m. is 275 grams, and the thickness of the polymer coating is 25-200 microns. Profiled sheets can also be produced according to custom sizes based on the characteristics of the facility under construction. It should still be noted that the use of sheets standard size simplifies installation and calculation and has standard technical specifications. Here is the marking of the most common profiled sheet: C8 1150/1200, here “C” means the area of application - wall, “8” is the profile height, and 1150 usable width leaf. Brand C8 is a leader in sales. A special feature of this profiled sheet is the low thickness and width of the profile shelves, which exceeds the height of the profile.

Weight of corrugated sheets, tables

An important parameter when choosing a building material is its weight. Weight depends on the alloy, profile height, sheet thickness. “C” grade corrugated sheeting is the lightest, one linear meter weighs in the range of 4.46-8.38 kilograms. For load-bearing wall profiled sheets, the weight also starts at 4.46 kg. per linear meter and can reach 9.5 kilograms for sheets with high corrugation. The supporting corrugated sheet is made of thicker rolled metal, therefore it has the heaviest weight. Starting from 5.63 kilograms for H57 sheets and reaching 18.09 kilograms for H153 grade. You can easily find out the weight of corrugated sheets on the Internet. As an example, we give several tables of the most common material of different brands.

Table 1

Table 2

Table 3

To determine the weight of a square meter of profiled sheet, the weight of one linear meter is multiplied by the total length.

When purchasing profiled material, it is necessary to take into account that the sheets are installed overlapping. It is imperative to check the quality of the sheets; they must have smooth edges and the same thickness. For the roof, you should use a profiled sheet whose weight is 5-6 kg. per sq.m. The use of corrugated sheets in construction makes it possible to independently carry out a large amount of work construction work for example on personal plot or in a private residential building. Knowledge of the basic parameters of the sheet, such as thickness, weight, length allows you to choose best option from those offered on the market.

There are dozens of types of profiled sheets. We suggest considering wall corrugated sheet C8, what is its price per meter, overall dimensions(weight, thickness), manufacturing methods and scope.

Production

Galvanized corrugated sheet C8 with a polymer coating is cold rolled; a profile rolling machine and other similar equipment are used for its production, detailed description below. According to GOST 14918, it comes unpainted, but GOST 30246 allows the use of enamel paint (protective or decorative).

In order to produce C8 corrugated sheets, an automated line (mill) is required, which cannot be your own or home production. This is a system of machines and machines that alternately perform their functions. Initially, the material is placed in a sheeter and profile rolling machine of the A9518 or A9521 series. This is completely automatic system rolls the future flooring, brings it to the required parameters, after which the sheet of metal is moved to special guillotine shears, which cut it to the required length. From the shears, the sheets are delivered to receiving devices, which directly package them into rolls or bundles.

The material used is ready-made thin steel with a galvanized and cleaned surface. If necessary, a painting machine is also added to this range of machines, which also uses either polyester or special paints with protective properties on request. The steel for corrugated sheeting is called a pin and comes in different thicknesses. Therefore, if necessary, the manufacturer can provide you with the opportunity to produce profile sheets in accordance with the necessary and stated requirements.

The creation of corrugation is carried out on a rolling table; it has special parts that, through adjustment, acquire the required shape, and then, through pressure, we obtain a corrugated surface.

Specifications

The profiled sheet can be double-sided or single-sided. Basically, roofs or greenhouses are covered with one-sided, there are various ways its application. It should be noted that in this case, C8 grade corrugated sheeting should be checked very strictly, especially its back side. Some damage is allowed on inside, if the profile does not lose its qualities. These damages also have their own standards and permissible parameters:

  • depth no more than 0.5 mm;
  • there are no cracks on the surface;
  • not damaged paint coating(if there is one);
  • the total diameter of one dent is no more than 10 mm.

In the photo below we have prepared a comparison of C8 polyester (PE) and galvanized corrugated sheets; here are the approximate prices for these varieties, at which you can buy sheets, useful and original area and other information. Average density – 200 g/m3.

Table of characteristics of corrugated sheets s8

They are very strict when it comes to producing profiles according to geometric indications; an error of no more than 0.1 mm is allowed for sheets up to 0.7 thick. You need to know that the pitch size of such sheets is not controlled (building materials of the rolling production method are not checked for overall curvature, level of bending, etc.), but the crescent-type pattern should be no more than 1 meter - 1 mm, taking into account length 6 meters. Profile sheets are cut diagonally as required, and in this case the error is also not taken into account.

Rolled sheet C8 has a fairly wide color scheme, it can be yellow, blue, green, white, red, etc. Ask the consultant to show you the catalog and specify the colors, for example, the brown range has several shades. Basically, the colors are relatively dark or neutral, which look great both when installing the sheet on the fence and when installing the roof.

The most important characteristic of a sheet is its density. Using this indicator, you can create the following comparative table:

Profiled painted and simply galvanized decking is used as a fence sheet, along with metal tiles and siding. It is not used in extreme weather conditions and at high vibrations (i.e. in production).

Price overview

One of the key characteristics of corrugated sheeting is its price; we suggest considering how much a square meter of material costs in the cities of Russia and neighboring countries:

The difference in price is insignificant, but we have provided approximate wholesale prices; in any case, check the cost with a consultant before purchasing. In addition, the price can change dramatically depending on the manufacturers, for example, sheets of such brands as atalogue, Ecosteel, fine, lang, naive, sayga, stone, xx, as well as an analogue of domestic corrugated sheeting - the ral 3020 series, have proven themselves quite well.

The cost of corrugated sheets directly depends on the country of manufacture, for example, on our market you can find profile sheets made in China, Korea, and Ukraine. Our recommendations, many companies sell their sheets with delivery, we advise you to buy profiles from the manufacturer, such sales are carried out at any metallurgical plant.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Naturally, C8 corrugated sheeting has its advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages include:

  • relatively low price;
  • easy installation and weight (on average, one square meter of flooring weighs no more than 5 kilograms);
  • Wide range of applications (it can be used for cladding brick walls, How roofing material or raw materials for the manufacture of fences; gates are also made from it);
  • due to its low weight, installation on a wooden frame is possible;
  • it is even used to cover cars (in Toyota Venza, for example);
  • can be fastened with self-tapping screws, rivets and screws;
  • simple fastening scheme, no need for specialist instructions;
  • corrugated sheeting has fire-resistant properties, so it is used if you need to cover a chimney or walls of a hot shop.

The disadvantages of profile flooring include:

  • does not tolerate long-term loads (many roofers therefore have problems installing it);
  • with prolonged wind it can change its position and alignment (wind deformation);
  • it is difficult to install on a stone or cascade;
  • not suitable for construction in vibration zones (workshops, factories, etc.).
  • requires fastening with screws or self-tapping screws with washers.

Despite such complex technology There is no cheaper production of corrugated sheets yet. Moreover, its installation is inexpensive. Marking: c8 115-t, c8 series 1150. Before purchasing, be sure to ask the seller for a quality certificate, or better yet, if you can view it in the catalog without a trip to the warehouse.
