Old parquet has a worn or completely disappeared layer of varnish. Individual parquet boards may be deformed, interparquet seams may crumble, potholes, cracks, and chips may appear. In such cases, restoration is required. Floor cycling - bringing it to a state close to new. To do this, the top layer is polished (cycled) - the remnants of varnish are removed, and the surface is leveled.

When cycling is completed, you should get a flat parquet floor, not protected by a layer of varnish. Then the parquet is primed and varnished. The restoration of the old is completed, the surface is almost new.

What is required for work?

Manual sanding of parquet is less expensive, but takes much more time, so it is better to trust the technique. The main equipment includes a scraping machine and an angle grinder. For the sanding machine, you will need a sandpaper - sandpaper.

It should be taken with different grain sizes: to perform rough work for grinding by hand, a sandpaper with grain number 30 is more suitable, and for finishing, final stages- with grain number 120.

If the parquet is in poor condition, and you have to restore it manually, then you can buy sandpaper with a grain of 60 for a better sanding.

For a grinder, a grinding wheel is bought for wood processing. In diameter, it must correspond to the saw rotor. During operation, it may form a large number of wood dust and debris, so prepare the necessary tools in advance - a dustpan, a broom or brush, a vacuum cleaner.

What varnish is best to use?

For home needs, the most preferred option is matte varnishes on the water based. They are practically harmless, dry quickly and do not form a shiny surface. Semi-gloss varnishes are also used. The use of glossy varnishes is not recommended.. Firstly, in bright, sun-drenched rooms, shiny surfaces give glare, reflections, which additionally burden the eyesight. Secondly, such a coating is subject to rapid abrasion.

With an uneven load on the floor surface, abrasion will be different, which will sooner or later affect the appearance of the entire floor. Some places will remain fresh, shiny, while others will be slightly worn. For example, at the edges of the room and in the corners, the movement is relatively small, while in the central parts of the room it is intense.

Where can I get scraping equipment?

It is not necessary to buy a cycle machine. It will be much more efficient to rent equipment from rental companies for several days. During this time, one or two masters carry out the entire amount of work as in small room, and in the apartment as a whole.

The performance of the scraping machine

At the rental company, the car should be checked for its suitability for work. To begin with, pay attention to the rubber band of the drum. It should only be new. If the part shows signs of use, ask for a replacement. A worn rubber band can tear during operation.

Then you need to make sure that the air ducts are clean - they should not be clogged with debris.

Ask to tie a dust bag to the air duct and turn on the machine. This must be done carefully so that dust does not get into the eyes.

Electrical equipment and network load

Cycling machine It has more power, consumes a lot of energy. You need to make sure that the wiring in the apartment - sockets, internal and external cables, electrical extension cords - is able to withstand such a load. All electrical equipment is rated at 16 A. Otherwise, you will need to connect the machine directly to the electrical panel at the entrance, bypassing the apartment wiring.

Preparing the premises for work

From the room, you must first remove all objects and things located on the floor. Wall paintings, clocks, shelves are well covered from dust and debris. Sockets must be free from other electrical appliances.

Then you proceed to inspect the floor: skirting boards are removed around the perimeter, the parquet is well cleaned. All metal items and solid material, such as nails or self-tapping screws, are removed. If these rules are not observed, there is a risk of tearing the rubber band of the drum when working with a scraping machine.

Beginning of work

The correct parquet scraping technology begins with the fact that under the width and circumference of the scraping machine drum, with some margin, a piece of coarse-grained sandpaper and is tucked into the drum with an overlap. Then a dust bag is tied with a rope.

The regulator sets the height of the drum above the floor. The smaller it is, the deeper the scraping of the floorboard goes, and the larger it is, the finer it is. If the floor has significant irregularities and potholes, then deep scraping is required during the first pass. In the future, the scraping is made smaller.

The equipment is located at the edge of the room and is switched on through extension cords. The principle of passages is as follows. The car is driven from one end of the room to the opposite. Then they return to the place where the scraping began, move it to the already passed width of the parquet and repeat everything. This is done until the entire room has been passed from one side to the opposite.

If the room is large, then more than once you will need to replace the sandpaper in the drum. The direction of sanding should be different from the direction of placing the parquet on the floor. Best Option- 45 degree angle.

Working with an angle grinder

After the scraping of the floorboard has been carried out, work must be done in places that are inaccessible to ordinary car. Such places include the edges of the room, its corners, parquet under radiators.

Beforehand, a wood grinding disc is inserted into the angle grinder. The grinder has high shaft rotation speeds - about 11,000 rpm.

The disc must be strictly parallel to the floor surface. If it is located at an angle to the parquet, then you can easily leave a deep scar on the floor. Such a trace is then extremely difficult to level with the rest of the surface.

Carrying out the process of puttying the floor

You can use the most common wood glue. There is also a special putty for such work. In the case of using glue, after sanding, you need to collect a little sawdust from the floor and mix it well with glue until a thick consistency is obtained.

Then, passing the entire area of the room, rub the putty with a spatula into the cracks, holes and other floor irregularities that could not be cut off, remove with scraping. After finishing the work, a pause is made to allow the putty to dry.

How to cycle further?

After puttying, they again go to scraping. This time, filling the drum of the machine is carried out with fine-grained sandpaper and the entire floor is covered with it in the same way as the first time.

The only difference is the direction of scraping relative to the placement of the parquet itself. The directions of the parquet and scraping should match, as in the photo. At this stage, the final leveling of the entire floor area takes place. In addition, the surface is cleaned of excess putty mass. This is the last stage in which the participation of the scraping machine was required.

Cleaning

Cleaning the surface after scraping should be done very carefully. To begin with, all large debris is collected with a scoop, broom or brush - sawdust, wood chips, sandpaper scraps, putty residues, etc.

Then they wait for the time it takes for the dust to settle on the floor. Then, with a vacuum cleaner, remove all dust from the floor. Only dry cleaning is carried out indoors, since wet cleaning can adversely affect physical properties parquet.

Floor priming

You can use the inexpensive and familiar to many primer "Birch", other universal or specially designed for wood processing products. Primer consumption can be read on the container. Surface treatment of the floor will make it harder, reduce the amount of varnish during further manipulations.

The primer is applied in the same way as paint - with a roller or brush, successively passing from one wall to another over the entire area of the room. At the end of the work, you need to give the floor time to dry again.

Lacquer application

With a possible shortage of varnish to complete the work, it is quite acceptable to dilute it with the appropriate component - a solvent.

At the same time, the applied layer becomes thinner, but this method will allow you to complete the work without buying additional capacity. Lacquer is applied with a regular brush. Further steps include the sequential passage of all the premises - this is not difficult to do.

The floor is usually varnished twice. In this case, each layer should have time to dry completely. The entire room during varnishing must be isolated from drafts. The windows are closed. This will keep the microclimate in the room at the same level, which will help to obtain a better result in the end.

Final works

The last thing to do is to ventilate the room well. You can then bring in the furniture and re-open the wall items that were wrapped up in the room during the scraping.

None of the existing materials can compare with natural wood neither in quality nor in external attractiveness. Of course wooden house with a wooden floor - it is environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing and as comfortable as possible, but in five years there will be no trace of the former beauty.

And if the walls can still be somehow “brought to life”, covered with a new layer of varnish, then what to do with the floor covering, which is subjected to heavy loads, is completely incomprehensible. But experienced builders know a fairly simple way to return wooden floor its former beauty. It's about scraping a wooden floor.

The name of the process - scraping - comes from a special scraping tool, which for a long time removed the top layer wood flooring. A scraper is a small handle with metal plates attached to it.

Scraping was carried out until the first grinding machine was invented, which by now has completely replaced the scraper.

Such a machine can be of two types:

  • drum;
  • disk.

Usage drum machines it is advisable only in those cases when a large area of \u200b\u200bthe wooden floor is to be processed. The disadvantages of the machine include uneven scraping, which is why even the most experienced builder will not be able to withstand the entire surface of the floor at a single level. For this reason, today such a device is only removed old paint and carry out rough polishing of wood.

Disc machines, unlike drum machines, similar shortcomings no. Having appeared relatively recently, this equipment has already gained popularity due to the absolutely flat surface that remains after processing, without any stripes and drops. The cost of drum machines is quite high, so they are used mainly by professional and repair teams.

Note! According to the manufacturers, the scraping machines are able to restore the wooden floor by 90%.

First, find out if the old wooden floor can be sanded. To do this, conduct a thorough inspection. If you find that there is too much gap between the boards or they are damaged, then first replace the defective coating elements. Only after that start work.

What will be required in the work

For looping you will need:

  • scraping machine;
  • screwdriver;
  • curb grinding machine or manual cycle;
  • abrasive sheets of various hardness;
  • polyethylene film;
  • mineral spirits (required for removing varnish).

Note! If it is planned to scrape the parquet, then the grinder must necessarily be a disc grinder (for 1 or 3 discs), but, for example, for wooden planks the device is quite suitable drum type.

Stage one. Room preparation

First, remove furniture and carpets from the room. Take framed photos and paintings as well bookshelves it is better to protect against dust penetration by covering with a large piece of film.

Dismantle interior door. Cover the opening with foil, fixing the edges with adhesive tape to prevent dust from entering neighboring rooms. Windows, on the contrary, open so that all the dust comes out.

Stage two. Floor preparation

If there are minor gaps between the floorboards, then they must be filled with filler, for example, sawdust. To remove old varnish, use mineral spirits and a scraper.

After that, wash the floor and let it dry thoroughly for 2-3 days.

After preparation, it remains only to purchase good headphones and a respirator. When cycling, the noise level and dust generation increase significantly, so think about safety measures.

Stage three. Cycling

There is an opinion that scraping is an extremely complex and time-consuming procedure. In fact, the most difficult thing is to hold the grinder in the desired position.

1. Beginning the process

Start by using coarse sanding sheets. This will help remove the remnants of the old coating, remove all defects and irregularities in the material.

Note! When working, always keep the wire from the scraping device on your shoulder so as not to accidentally damage it.

Before starting the machine, tilt it slightly, then gently lower it to the floor. You will notice the work of the tape immediately, since the device will be more difficult to hold in your hands. Move across the room, firmly holding the handle of the device. When you reach the opposite wall, gently lift it up and rotate it 180ᵒ.

Curly boards cycle a little differently. Move diagonally, that is, from one corner of the room to another. Do this several times, then repeat the procedure, but in the opposite direction. The smoothness of the floor after that will be perfect.

3. Grinding with medium grit sheets

At the end of the scraping of the curly boards, change the previous sheet to a medium grit. Move along the boards. Start with this, if the floor surface is not too damaged.

When finished processing, make sure that no sections have been skipped. Then take a fine-grained sheet and repeat the whole procedure.

After processing the floor, it remains only to cycle it near the walls. A curb scraper works great for this, start with medium grit sheets and finish with the thinnest disc.

Note! An ordinary scraper machine will not work for this, since it cannot boast of such thoroughness as a curb machine.

5. Completion of work

This is where the cycle ends. Sweep the floor and wipe it with a dry cloth, then apply the top coat.

Note! Do not leave the wooden floor untreated after grinding, because during operation it will quickly be damaged.

Separately, it is worth talking about such milestone preparation of the floor covering, like putty cracks. Use special putty pastes for this, which can be:

  • ready;
  • those that need to be mixed with a special putty composition.

Note! You should not follow the advice of a pseudo-specialist who says that only cracks and other damaged areas need to be puttied - this will not give the desired effect.

Thoroughly mix the putty and apply it to the desired surface. Wait for it to dry (it will take about an hour), then follow the instructions.

Note! Do not immediately arrange furniture! Wait until the varnish is completely dry and crystallized.

Note! Lacquer coatings water-based do not have any smell, but the same cannot be said about polyurethane, for example.

As a conclusion

It is worth noting that not in all cases the wooden floor can be restored by sanding. It is recommended to entrust the process to specialists, but the work can be done independently.
For a detailed acquaintance with the cycling procedure, watch the proposed thematic video material.

The floor is the most exploited flooring in a residential area. It is for this reason that the floor loses its strength faster than other surfaces. appearance and needs repair. The biggest difficulty in the repair of flooring is parquet scraping. But with knowledge of the stages of this process and the availability necessary tools, lead parquet board even a beginner can look right.

The very process of sanding parquet is carried out by a special machine. It consists of several stages, including:

  • elimination of visible defects,
  • surface preparation for varnishing,
  • varnishing.

After completion of the work, wooden parquet will regain its former beauty even after many years of use. restored with my own hands parquet will become the best decoration rooms.

Necessary tools and materials

Efficient scraping of parquet is possible only with the help of a special drum-type machine, which can be rented
  • Drum-type cycler(parquet grinder). This is expensive equipment, which does not make sense to buy. A great option is to rent a car (the cost is about $20 per day for a sander, $50 for a parquet grinder). Usually you need to rent a car for one day;
  • Equipment for scraping corners, which is called "boots". Earlier processing corners were produced exclusively by hand-made scissors and Bulgarian with a special nozzle. If the "boots" are difficult to get, then you can use the old proven method;
  • Rolled sandpaper. You need an abrasive for rough processing (P40) and for grinding (P80 and P 120, depending on the type of wood);
  • Scissors for cutting sandpaper;
  • Keys for clamps in the drum(often come with the machine);
  • A vacuum cleaner.

Despite the fact that the dimensions of the scraper machine are quite compact and this tool can be transported in the trunk of a car, it is very heavy. The machine weighs about 70 kg, so when going for a tool, this should be taken into account.

Stages of work on scraping parquet

Stage number 1. Training

The most important thing is to prepare the room for work.

All furniture that hangs on the walls should be covered with a film that will protect it from dust.
  1. To do this, all the furniture that is on the floor is taken out of it. Furniture that hangs on the walls needs to be protected from dust with a film.
  2. After freeing the floor from the furniture, it must be vacuumed and washed well.
  3. Next, examine the parquet for the presence of drop-down or loose dies. If they are, then you need to find their place and securely glue them.
  4. The last step in the preparation will be the removal of skirting boards.

In older houses, skirting boards are often heavily nailed to the base. When dismantling such skirting boards, there is a high probability of damaging the parquet board. If it is not possible to carefully dismantle them, then it is better to leave such skirting boards in place.

Before starting work, it is also recommended to inspect the floor again so that there are no protruding nails on it. If they are noticed, then they should be driven in or removed. You also need to check the condition of the wiring, because the machine requires up to 2.5 kW of energy, especially at the time of start-up.

Stage number 2. Personal protection

Sanding parquet without dust is impossible. Be sure to wear a respirator and goggles to protect yourself from small particles that will appear when working with the machine. Also earplugs to block out the noise.

Stage number 3. Rough scraping

Rough sanding eliminates uneven parquet and possible pollution

Initially, a rough sanding of the parquet is carried out. During it, the varnish will be removed from the old parquet, if a new parquet is being processed, then a rough sanding will save it from bumps and possible contamination. During this stage of work, a layer of 5 mm thick will be removed from the wood.

Before starting work, a coarse sanding belt (P40, in rare cases P60 is required) must be installed on the drum of the machine. The first row must be passed diagonally across the room. Then move the machine half the width of the drum and make the next row. So the entire floor is polished. If the sandpaper wears off, it must be replaced. If the floor is in very poor condition, it may take up to three cycles of rough sanding.

The machine has a special screw that allows you to adjust the pressure of the drum on the floor. If the engine fails to dial state required amount rpm, the pressure should be reduced. If it is noticed that the layer removed by the machine is too small, then the pressure should be increased.

Manual scraping

The manual cycle consists of wooden handle and a steel sharpened plate that removes the top layer of wood

If for some reason it was not possible to rent a scraping machine, then you can process the floor with your hands. It will be a complex process that will take a long time. In the store, you should purchase a manual cycle or a steel plate in the shape of the letter "G". Optimal Width manual cycle - 5 cm. This tool consists of a wooden handle and a sharpened steel plate that removes the top layer of wood. To make it easier to work with a manual cycle, it is recommended to either stroke the parquet through a rag or moisten it.

Stage number 4. Grinding

At this stage of work, you will need P80 or P120 sandpaper. The first is suitable for heavily damaged parquet, and the second for the treatment of ordinary coatings. Passes during grinding are made along the dies, that is, as if along the wooden fibers. A fine abrasive will remove scratches and stains from the previous stage of work from the surface, making the wood almost perfectly smooth.

Stage number 5. Treatment of hard-to-reach places and corners

For scraping hard-to-reach places, you need a “boot” or a curb scraper

Untreated areas after grinding will remain along the walls and in the corners. It is almost impossible for a car to get into such bottlenecks. Here you will need a "boot" or a curb sander. If it doesn't exist, then old varnish removed by manual sanding, and then processed with a Bulgarian nozzle for grinding.

After sanding the entire floor, you can start applying a new varnish to the parquet. After complete drying varnish, the process of restoring the old parquet will be fully completed.

One day will be enough for parquet scraping in a normal-sized apartment. A special machine greatly facilitates the process of self-restoration of parquet, so preference should be given to just this method.

Modern floor coverings, imitating the texture of wood, cannot be distinguished at first glance from parquet or floorboards. But only natural wood gives a feeling of solidity, coziness, special comfort. Every happy owner of a parquet floor once faces the need to make another scraping. The varnish wears off over time, the tree begins to darken, lose its attractiveness.

Usually wear and tear different sites occurs unevenly, which makes the problem even more obvious. It is possible to return the parquet to its former beauty. To do this, it is necessary to carefully remove the old layer of varnish, level it, carefully sand it, prepare the surface for applying a new protective layer. decorative coating. This is done with a special power tool - a scraping machine.

Principle of operation

The well-established term "cycle" refers to grinding work on parquet or ordinary plank floor. The name came from hand tool"cycle", outwardly resembling a razor. A specially sharpened metal plate is fixed on the handle for convenience and makes it possible to scrape various wooden surfaces. Such a restoration method has nothing to do with the principle of operation of a parquet scraping machine. The grinding power tool uses an abrasive on a reinforced fabric basis.

Depending on the method of movement of the working platform, two types of machines are distinguished:

Drum;
. Tape.

The main working element of the drum sanding machine CO 206 is a metal cylinder covered with finely porous rubber 10 mm thick. Technological groove with tension rollers allows you to securely fix sandpaper across the entire width of the drum. The design of the device provides for the adjustment of the horizontal position of the cylinder and the force of pressure on the surface to be ground. In the cavity of the body of the device there is an air duct and a volute with a fan for suction and collection of dust in a fabric bag - storage.

A 2.2 kW electric motor drives the drum and fan by means of V-belts hidden in a safe casing. Depending on the setting of the applied force and the grain size of the abrasive skin, in one pass the CO sander removes 1 - 1.5 mm of the old layer of varnish, paint and wood. Such a unit weighs 70 kg, is famous for its reliability and ease of maintenance. It should be noted that some copies, released several decades ago, are still successfully operated.

The belt sanding machine is distinguished by the method of fixing the abrasive material. If you have to cut the sanding cloth on the drum according to the template and then tighten it by manipulating the rollers in the groove, then changing the endless sanding belt is much easier and faster.

There is an opinion - supposedly tape machines work more smoothly, without leaving "ripples" on the parquet. In fact, in the skillful hands of a professional, both types of scraping machines serve equally well, regularly performing their main function - removing a layer of varnish or paint that has become unusable. Only after this, the parquet masters, using surface grinders, carry out final grinding surfaces.

What should I do if I need to scrape the floor?

The price of a scraping machine is sometimes comparable to the cost of a car. Therefore, with a small amount of work, the idea arises to use manual grinders, but most likely - this will end sadly for them - overheating and failure.

To assemble a full-fledged scraping machine with your own hands is a very dubious undertaking. Stories about how a neighbor in the garage built a grinder from the remains of various household appliances, impress and excite the imagination - but still it’s more correct to look for a scraping machine at the nearest power tool rental point. Of course, in this case, you will have to pay a deposit - it can amount to several tens of thousands of rubles, but the service itself will cost quite reasonable money.

If for some reason it is not possible to rent a scraping machine, you should visit the parquet workshop, or call the parquet masters. It happens that expensive equipment is in forced downtime, and the owners are ready to provide it for temporary use for a modest fee. Renting a parquet scraping machine is profitable and convenient.

Having concluded the contract, the delivery of the tool should be entrusted to the owner himself, otherwise the equipment may be damaged as a result of inept transportation. Upon receipt, be sure to check the appearance, performance of the machine and stock up on the required amount of grinding materials. When renting or renting a scraping machine, it is necessary to study the mandatory safety rules when working with power tools.

Efficiency and application

The efficiency of sanding machines depends on their performance, the correct selection of the abrasive and the experience of the master involved in floor repair. Professionals, in addition to drum and disk, use other types of grinders:

  • . Disk;
  • . corner;
  • . Vibrating;
  • . Eccentric.

For hard-to-reach places under batteries, stairs and built-in furniture, models of the “boot” type are used. They are compact, have a special understated and elongated ledge of the grinding part. Before you buy a parquet scraping machine, you should study the features and properties of the models on the market.

Parquet is always stylish and luxurious interior. And his ecological cleanliness and the aesthetic appearance is a clear advantage. But during operation, the coating wears out, it loses its luster, scratches, scuffs and cracks appear. Scraping is a technology for leveling parquet by scraping. It can be performed both manually and with the use of special equipment.

During the scraping process, a small layer of wood is removed. Homemade parquet can withstand up to 7 procedures. Before starting work, you need to make sure that the cycling of the floor is necessary.

To do this, carefully inspect the floor for the presence:

  • Dry and swollen areas;
  • Potholes and chips;
  • The presence of a woodworm bug;
  • The thickness of the bar, if it is thinner than 5 mm, then it is not subject to scraping.

To check the thickness and quality of the dies, it is necessary to insert a clerical awl between the floorboards. If it penetrates between boards at an angle of more than 40 degrees, the boards are rotted or damaged by insects. You also need to make sure that the wood floor is dry. For this, a small area is covered plastic wrap, pressing down with bars. The design is left for a day. If condensation appears under the film, then the plates are wet and fungus may spread. Such a coating must be dismantled and properly equipped with waterproofing.

Finding a bug is pretty easy. When examining a wooden coating, you can see small holes, next to which are small piles of chips.

If the above problems are found, the procedure is not carried out. Shift parquet or replace damaged areas. If the nail heads stick out, they are driven into the dies. Squeaky parquet floors can be eliminated by driving a wooden dowel with adhesive between the floorboards. The protruding piece is cut flush with the floor.

Scraping machines for parquet

Floor scraping is labor intensive work. Special scraping machines will help to facilitate and speed up the process. grinders There are tape and disk designs. The first type is used for rough cleaning. Disc surface grinder finishing coatings. With its help, you can achieve professional quality work.

Modern sanding machines have a pipe for connecting a dust collector, which greatly facilitates the work.

Depending on the amount of coverage, the unit is selected. For large rooms, a serious device is required, preferably with 3 removable drives. For medium and small apartments suitable for a manual machine. It is not necessary to buy equipment. Modern construction stores often offer tool rental services. Using this service, you can save money and speed up the scraping process. When renting a unit, make sure it is in good working order on site. The cycler is quite heavy, but its dimensions allow you to place the device in the trunk. Machine models are divided by power from 220 to 380 volts. To work with the devices, safety precautions must be observed.

Do-it-yourself parquet scraping process

Grinding machines will help to quickly and efficiently produce scraping wooden surface. In addition to the equipment, it will be necessary to purchase sandpaper No. 40 for roughing, No. 80 for finishing No. 100, 120 for finishing grinding, as well as replaceable disks for the unit and putty to eliminate defects. When scraping the floor with the hardware method, safety precautions must be observed. Before the procedure, it is necessary to check the quality of the electrical wiring.

For best result the machine must be driven smoothly and evenly over the entire floor, avoiding stopping in one place, otherwise you can remove too much layer and form a strong drop. Before starting work, the machine is raised, turned on and wait until the machine picks up speed. Then slowly lower and start grinding. For the machine, a special skin is used, which is filled in the direction of the arrow indicated on the machine.

Cycling technology:

  • It is necessary to install a coarse skin No. 40 in the machine and start the machine;
  • Bulgarian cycle hard-to-reach places under batteries and skirting boards;
  • Further work is carried out from the far wall to the passable place;
  • The dust collector is shaken out as soon as the bag is full;
  • Corners are processed with an angle grinder and the remaining small varnish spots are removed;
  • Putty is made, to which a part is mixed parquet dust for color and cover up chips and cracks;
  • After the putty has dried, the coating is treated with sandpaper No. 80 perpendicular to the first run.
  • Next, the surface grinder is driven with abrasive 120 for finishing work.

After the work has been done, the surface of the wooden floor is coated with varnish or mastic.

Manual scraper for parquet

Parquet flooring can also be scraped manually using a special tool. The manual cycle consists of a wooden handle and a blade 5 cm long. The floor is pre-moistened and the top layer of wood flooring is removed. You only need to spend on a scraper, however manual way very labor intensive. It will take a lot of effort and time.

The blade blade should be 10 - 20 mm wider than the die to prevent scratches and chips during operation.

Scraping is better to start from the window to the door. You need to drive the cycle in the direction of the wood fibers. You should press the tool with the same force, and try to grab not one, but several dies. Grinding of difficult areas is carried out using a grinder with a special nozzle. After processing the parquet, all chips and cracks are covered with putty. Next, you need to do the final grinding, which is carried out only on a dry floor. It will require wooden block 25 cm long and sandpaper No. 100 or 120. You need to wrap the beam with sandpaper. Then, in a circular motion, drive the resulting device along the floor, kneeling. Work should be done carefully to wipe out all small scratches.

You can use another method. Sandpaper sheets are glued to old shoes and they begin to smoothly rub the floor, from time to time controlling the quality of the sandpaper. Cleaning the floor will take time, but if done right, a smooth floor will please the eye. After carrying out all the work, the floors are vacuumed and the varnishing of the coating begins. The varnish is applied in 3 layers. Do not rush, each layer must dry. Before applying 3 coats of varnish, the floor should be once again sanded with fine sandpaper.
