Kitchen stoves Mora. Common features and gas models

The modern market is replete with inexpensive cookers aimed at a not too pretentious consumer. Among these manufacturers, the Czech company Moravia and its products under the Mora brand are far from the last.

The company is not as big and famous as the Italian Indesit or the German AEG, but it has its own rich history. Which is able to shed light on the level of the brand.

Nearly two hundred years of history

Mora Moravia dates back to 1825, when businessman Josef Zverina, a resident of the Moravian town of Marianske Udoli (now the Czech Republic), which was then part of Austria-Hungary, received a patent for the trade in metal products. The region was metallurgical, and things quickly went uphill.

But then a series of ups and downs led to a frequent change of both manufactured products (from nails to cast-iron hatches) and owners (at one time even the Rothschilds were among the shareholders).

In the end 19th century the company started manufacturing indoor fireplace stoves, and this direction turned out to be so successful that soon the production of stoves became the main business of the already steadily prosperous enterprise.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Mora Moravia became one of the European leaders in the production of boards. And throughout its history, it has sold over 13 million of them, with more than half of them exported. And the Meteor model turned out to be phenomenally successful, in just ten years more than a million pieces were sold!

In socialist Czechoslovakia, Mora Moravia turned into a large diversified engineering association, which included many enterprises.

In the post-socialist Czech Republic, the association was privatized, and in 2004 it merged into the eminent Slovenian Gorenje Group. At the same time, Mora Moravia formed a holding consisting of several independent companies for the production of cooking, heating and even aerospace equipment.

Let's talk about space some other time, but today we have an acquaintance with the wonderful Mora stoves.

In total, Mora Moravia offers Russian customers over three dozen gas, combined and electric cookers. The choice, as you can see, is rich. Let's choose!

sister traits

Outwardly, these plates do not differ much from each other, their design is very simple and unremarkable, but quite modern and pretty. Oddly enough, they all have the same overall standard - 85x50x60 cm. That is, there are no 50x50, 55x55 and even 60x60 models, which are usually found in the product portfolio of any large company producing cookers.

But color solutions they have three. Prevails, of course, the basic for any manufacturers of large kitchen appliances White color, giving the letter W at the end of the alphanumeric model designation code. But there are devices Brown color(BR) and out of stainless steel(X).

Each stove, with the exception of glass-ceramic ones, has an enamelled metal hob lid (in some cases, made of impact-resistant glass).

55 l oven (3 special models - 52) in case of gas appliances it is necessarily equipped with a gas control that interrupts the gas supply if the flame suddenly goes out for some reason. The ovens are locked with a double glass door and covered from the inside with heat-resistant enamel for easy cleaning.

In general, these ovens are elementary: there are only three levels of stamped guides (only one model has them removable), a wire grate and at least one baking sheet are included in the kit.

All stoves certainly have a drawer for dishes and accessories at the very bottom, the only difference is in its structure - a simple hinged door (for some of the cheapest models) or a pull-out container.

All plates are equipped with adjustable legs.

gas stoves

There are eleven models in this group, and if we discard the color differences and the difference in the material from which the hob lids are made (enamelled steel or safety glass) as irrelevant, there will be seven. Which is also a lot and suggests the presence of a rich choice, which you need to somehow deal with.

All plates have a common technical base, from which modifications are repelled. For Mora, four burners are required on the hob, one of them with a power of 1 kW, another with 2.7 kW, plus two of 1.75 kW. With one exception, all have some form of electric burner ignition. The hob necessarily has a light enamel grate.

And now a tale about the features of each model.

The simplest model in this series is. She has practically nothing beyond the basic set described above. technical tools and functions.

Moreover, there is not even an electric ignition of the burners, which is present in other stoves. Unless a thermometer is added on the oven door, which is rare for Mora appliances.

So, we have completed our acquaintance with Mora gas stoves. However, the model range of this brand is not exhausted. Ahead of us is waiting.

In order to determine the temperature in the oven or in the oven by divisions, its instructions are mainly used. For each technique where gas is connected, an instruction manual is attached. The instructions indicate the maximum temperature of the oven itself and give the correspondence of the division scale to the temperature in Celsius (°C). These ovens have switch knobs with a scale for dividing into numbers. The number of divisions and the maximum temperature are different for all models. Some ovens may have 6, 7, 8 or 9 divisions. But how to determine the temperature in them. Switches on ovens can be not only gas, but also electric. After all, not all models have an electronic display.

The oven has its own defined maximum temperature. All models are different. Also, the maximum temperature differs for both electric and gas ovens. In gas ovens, the temperature is generally lower than in electric ones. For example, the maximum temperature electric oven can reach up to 290 degrees Celsius, and gas- up to 250 degrees Celsius.

Many people have had gas ovens for a long time, some left from their parents, and some were given as a gift. But the instructions for the oven may not be. We were going to cook a dish, but we don’t know how to turn the switch, which number to put on. What temperature does it fit? For this, there is an approximate correspondence of division to temperature.

On the oven, instead of degrees, numbers from 1 to *, temperature table

If there are 9 divisions in a gas oven, and the maximum reaches 280 degrees Celsius, then:

If there are 8 divisions in a gas oven, and the maximum reaches 280 degrees Celsius, then:

If there are 8 divisions in a gas oven, and the maximum reaches 250 degrees Celsius, then:

If there are 7 divisions in a gas oven, and the maximum reaches 250 degrees Celsius, then:

If there are 5 divisions in a gas oven, and the maximum reaches 266 degrees Celsius, then:

There are also gas stoves with an oven where there are 4 divisions, but I could not find how many in degrees, since the maximum heating of the oven is not indicated in the instructions either.

If in electric oven 7 divisions, and the maximum reaches 250 degrees Celsius, then:

Matching data is approximate. The exact temperature can be found using the built-in thermometer, designed to determine the temperature.

There are many inexpensive cookers on the modern market, aimed at a not too pretentious consumer. Among this equipment, far from the last place belongs to gas stoves manufactured under the Mora brand. For many decades now, they have proudly been the title of very reliable and high-quality units.

Externally, Mora plates are not much different from each other. They have a very simple but quite cute and modern design. Oddly enough, all these plates are produced with the same dimensions - 50x60x85, that is, there are no models with dimensions of 50x50 or 60x60. But there are as many as three color schemes. The predominant color is white, but there are also brown and stainless steel slabs.

Mora stoves require 4 burners on the hob. One of them has a power of 2.7 kW, another one - 1.0 kW, and two more - 1.75 kW each. Ovens are equipped with gas control, doors with double glass and covered with heat-resistant enamel for easy cleaning. Under the oven there is certainly a drawer for kitchen utensils, which expensive models can be pulled out, and the cheap ones have a simple hinged door.

Benefits of Mora slabs

Mora stoves have the same advantages as all gas stoves. This is both a quick ignition and the possibility of using different types dishes, and cheaper operation compared to electric ones.

Additionally, among the advantages of these plates I would like to note:

  • high functionality and quality;
  • ease of use;
  • Availability protective system gas control;
  • the ability to adjust the height of the legs;
  • affordable cost.

Criterias of choice

When deciding which stove to choose for your kitchen, you need to decide how often you will cook on it and what functions are especially important to you. First of all, one should take into account such selection criteria as dimensions, number of burners, hob material, possibilities oven, various additional functions.

Dimensions and number of burners

As mentioned above, all Mora gas stoves have the same dimensions and the same number of burners, so you won’t have to think long when choosing these parameters. Two burners have an average level of heat transfer, one has the highest power, and one is the smallest power.

hob

The hob is usually made of such durable and safe materials like enamelled and stainless steel. Slabs with enamel coating are relatively inexpensive. hob stainless steel significantly increases the cost of equipment, but it is easy to clean and does not undergo chemical attack.

Currently, slabs with a panel made of tempered glass. This material is particularly durable. In addition, it is easy to clean and is not prone to plaque formation. Tempered glass panels, like enameled ones, have a fairly rich selection of colors.

Oven

Highly important parameter when choosing an oven is its capacity. For a large family or for those who like to experiment in the kitchen, there are stoves with ovens of quite impressive volumes. In Mora gas stoves, ovens have two heating modes. The lower heating is carried out using a gas burner, and the upper heating is carried out by a gas or electric grill fixed at the top.

Today, gas stoves are also produced with multifunctional gas ovens.. They use hollow burners, inside which it is impossible to blow out gas, and fast and uniform heating of the cooked dish is ensured by forced circulation of heated air.

The inside surface of the oven may have various properties that can greatly facilitate the cleaning process. For example, expensive models of ovens are equipped with a pyrolytic self-cleaning system, in which food residues and fat drops are burned out using high temperature(500 degrees). They turn into ordinary ash, which can be easily removed with a damp sponge.

Cheaper stoves have a catalytic cleaning system. The cleaning process occurs at the time of cooking with normal heating up to 200-300 degrees. This method is less efficient than pyrolytic, so the oven will need to be manually cleaned from time to time.

Functions

Modern gas stoves are equipped with many features that improve the process of their operation.

Electric ignition function

This function provides a safe ignition gas burners with the help of an electric spark. Electric ignition can be manual and automatic. With manual electric ignition, the burner can be turned on by pressing a special button on the control panel. With automatic this system combined with gas regulators, so a spark is formed immediately after turning the control knob. If there is no electricity, the ignition does not function.

Gas control system

This system automatically cuts off the gas supply to the burners when the flame goes out. The reliability of its operation is provided by special sensors that respond to the activity of the burner flame. If the burner goes out for some reason, then the safety valve in the gas control system will work and immediately shut off the gas supply.

Timer

Gas stoves use mechanical or electrical timers with an audible signal. With their help, the time intervals required for the preparation of a dish are set. After this time, the timer indicates the need to turn off with an audible signal.

Review leader

After studying specifications and the functionality of all three models, we can conclude that the Mora PS 213 MW1 model does not have a timer, and the Mora PS 103 MW has neither a timer nor a grill. That's why Mora PS 111 MW becomes the leader of the review which can make the cooking process of any dish more comfortable and enjoyable.

Basic principles of working with a gas stove:

  1. It would be optimal to ventilate the room every time before lighting the burners.
  2. The gas cock on the hose connecting to the gas pipeline must only be opened when the appliance is in use.
  3. If the stove is without electric ignition, then a match should be lit before opening the burner tap handle. The use of electric and silicon lighters is undesirable. A stove with electric ignition solves this problem - the fire is ignited automatically.
  4. In case of uneven burning of the burner, slippage of the flame inside the burner, you should turn it off and wait a couple of minutes. Then try to fire it up again. Trying to fix the position of the burner yourself is not worth it. AT normal condition at medium and full heat, the flame of the burner should be evenly distributed over the divisions, in a bluish-green color, the height of the tongues should be about 2-2.5 cm. full power and then adjust the height with the knob.
  5. The flame does not burn normally if:
    • Smokes, yellow color, smell carbon monoxide life-threatening - lack of air in the system;
    • The flame seems to be hovering over the burner, making a hissing and whistling noise due to excess air in the system.

    In both cases, it is strictly forbidden to solve the problem on your own. It is necessary to contact the gas distribution system to call the master. He should fix the problem with the in-house gas equipment.

  6. Before using the oven, be sure to ventilate it by opening and closing the oven door several times.
  7. It is necessary to set fire to the oven burner through a special hole, at the same time opening the burner tap and bringing an open fire to the hole. Check that the gas is burning all around the burner.
  8. To turn off the stove, you must first close all the valves of the burners and the oven, and then close the tap on the gas pipeline leading to the stove. This safety precaution is essential when using any gas stove.

What Not to Do

Considering high level dangers of working with gas, do not ignore the warnings. Be sure to follow all safety precautions if your stove is gas. The instruction forbids:

  • use the stove with unchecked ventilation ducts;
  • use a device with a knowingly faulty or unreliably fixed thermal indicator;
  • use the device with obvious mechanical damage, damage to the table grate, which can cause the dish to become unstable;
  • use an oven that does not have a fixed door.

Moreover, it is forbidden to use the kitchen gas stove as a heater, clutter up with any extraneous things the approach to gas equipment, independently and without permission to change the position of the stove, independently carry out any repairs and use dishes with a wide bottom on burners with low sides.

This manual is suitable for most gas stoves modern production. It does not include technological features inherent in some models, however, fully regulates the main operation of the gas stove. In particular, you can work on it with plates of companies:
