Types of perennial meadow flowers and herbs. The varieties are of particular interest. Beautiful meadow flowers

WILDFLOWERS

In the brilliance of lights, behind mirrored glasses,

Expensive flowers bloom luxuriantly,

Delicate and sweet are their subtle scents,

The leaves and stems are full of beauty.

They were raised in greenhouses carefully,

They were brought from beyond the blue seas;

They are not afraid of cold blizzards,

Stormy thunderstorms and the freshness of nights...

There are modest ones in the fields of my homeland

Sisters and brothers of overseas flowers:

They were raised by fragrant spring

In the greenery of May forests and meadows.

They see not mirror greenhouses,

And the expanse of the sky is blue,

They see not the lights, but the mysterious

Eternal constellations golden pattern.

Bashful beauty emanates from them,

They are dear to the heart and look

And they talk about the long forgotten

Bright days.

She helped Sonya Polskaya organize a business, enjoying and profiting from her favorite pastime. Velotsvetochnitsa is an original and sought-after service that helps people give a piece of warmth and beauty.

The story of the origin of the idea is quite banal - on an unremarkable weekday morning, Sonya went to the station to meet her grandmother and granddaughter, and in addition received a huge box of wild flowers from the dacha.

This small flower island from the Moscow region visited the capital's railway station, traveled to the central Moscow street, and ended up in the Ziferblat on Tverskaya, where it turned into a lot of cute bouquets. All this beauty will be a surprise for someone, a sweet joy, a fragrant gift from a serene summer.

From idea to business

An art critic by vocation, Sonya Polskaya was an opponent of bouquets, cut flowers, she always treated all living things with trepidation. Sonia did not like pathos bouquets of roses, lilies and the like, it was easier to please her with a modest bouquet of field plants.

The idea of opening a "Bicycle Flower Girl" dawned on Sonya at the moment when she realized that there were no such stores where you could buy a bouquet of wild flowers.

Three years ago, she sold the first bouquets of field plants for 250 rubles, and they scattered in an instant. Initially, Sonya started selling just flowers, not forming bouquets. But the buyers wanted to get something beautiful, not just a bunch of daisies, but a bouquet. The request to make “something” out of these flowers was so frequent that Sonya refused to sell flowers and began to collect them in compositions that turned out to be very beautiful and varied.

As Sonya noted, even in the absence of a special education as a florist, through hundreds of bouquets of practice, each bouquet turns out beautifully.

"Bicycle flower girl"

Polskaya associated this name with two favorite things that she managed to combine. Flowers are Sonya's unconditional vocation, and a bicycle for big city became a trend at the time, bike lanes were established and the sport promoted. Sonya was a cycling activist, but this was not the basis for the name. The need to pay for renting a place anywhere was eliminated thanks to the basket on the bike - you can just ride around the city, selling fragrant bouquets to passers-by.

Profitable business and its development

There was also no need to open a store, an ordinary cart attached to a bicycle made it possible to carry a supply, an island of summer, with you. The start of the business was a little chaotic because the lack of various devices forced to transport bouquets in a bunch, and in order to be able to choose, Polskaya laid out bouquets on the asphalt.

To develop, the flower girl decided to get a diploma at the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. She believed that it was here that she could get the necessary skills, learn more about how and what flowers to care for.

In addition to studying, Sonya worked hard and hard. She dug up seedlings and dragged boxes of soil, which helped not only to get financial support, but also to find the first suppliers. For bouquets, Sonya began to buy flowers at the academy at personal prices invented for her. The academy simply did not have other buyers of such a specific product. Polskaya bought what the Timiryazevka workers had previously simply disposed of.

At one time, the flower girl retreated from her undertaking, getting a job as a manager at Ziferblat, having lost two years. She returned to the "Velotsvetochnitsa" only at the beginning of 2015, and this was her second birth.

Return of the "Bicycleflower"

Where to get money to start own business? This is the problem faced by 95% of new entrepreneurs! In the article, we have revealed the most actual ways obtaining start-up capital for an entrepreneur. We also recommend that you carefully study the results of our experiment in exchange earnings:

On May 16, 2015, the re-launch of the "Velotsvetochnitsa" took place. In search of suppliers, Sonia decided to turn to social networks, and through Facebook she was able to find pensioners who were ready to grow wildflowers.

The ad placed on the page was seen by more advanced teenagers and children who passed on Sonya's contacts to their grandparents, so there were many calls and she was able to choose enough summer residents for herself, who provided a sufficient flower flow. For Polskaya, the origin of flowers was important - she did not want them to be picked in the fields, suppliers had to grow plants in their dacha and bring them to her in boxes.

The issue of payment was resolved in the same non-standard way as the whole business of the "Velotsvetochnitsa". because of various sizes wild flowers, Polskaya decided to pay for the agreed volume - a box that was filled different colors(not shorter than 25 cm). The amount for this box was 800-1000 rubles, which provided a good extra income for pensioners and allowed Sonya to collect bouquets of flowers at affordable prices.

Currently, Velosipednitsa has eight grandmother suppliers who deliver plants on a free schedule - when it suits them. The filling of baskets is uneven, but Polskaya emphasizes that, on average, one basket allows you to collect 3 large bouquets and 12 small ones.

An extraordinary business does not lend itself to the classical analysis of economic indicators, because each flower is not accounted for, there is no standard portfolio of bouquets, there is not even a price list for one plant of each species or for the number of plants in a bouquet. For this reason, it is pointless to predict anything.

Sonya says that earlier it seemed surprising to her why this niche is still free, but now it has become clear that selling bouquets of wildflowers is extremely unprofitable and troublesome. There are too many factors that can affect the sale and quality of bouquets, and the short life of cut bells and daisies does not exceed 14 days.

Painstaking work requires compliance with many rules - from growing to cutting. And the troubles do not end there - you need to extend the life of the flowers so that they do not wither before being sold, otherwise it will all just be thrown away. Indeed, as Oleg Barmin (owner of the FunFun flower shop) emphasizes, business development products are much simpler than any flowers. And when selling wild flowers, it is even more difficult, because they are very fragile, quickly wither, and it is almost impossible to systematize all the processes somehow.

In order to diversify the range and stabilize supplies, Sonya agreed with greenhouses, where pruned during the growing season flowering plants previously discarded. Now the Botanical Garden. Tsitsinina and Timiryazev TSKhA sell this waste for bouquets to the Velotsvetochnitsa.

The founder of a business selling arrangements of wild flowers believes that since the flowers are on sale, then she should pay suppliers for them as expected. For a box of waste after trimming, Sonya paid the same as private suppliers, 800-1000 rubles each. There are many very beautiful weeds (goutweed, burdock, burdock, loosestrife, etc.) that would decorate bouquets with their unusual appearance, but, unfortunately, no one grows or sells them.

Velosipednitsa is a seasonal business that operates only during the warmer months. Buyers have the opportunity to place a pre-order for a large bouquet on the Facebook page, and ready-made small bouquets can be found in Ziferblat, where Polskaya previously worked. Here Sonya rented a place and takes apart flower boxes, turning them into beauty. You can also come to Ziferblat for a bouquet, and delivery of the bouquet will be free if the order price exceeds 1000 rubles.

Despite the fact that there is no price list in Velosipednitsa, most customers ask to collect a bouquet for 1000 rubles. Apparently, this is the same amount that justifies the cost of a unique flower arrangement. The flower girl treats each bouquet with reverence and always worries whether the buyer will like her creation. Sonya strives to make the bouquet bigger in order to meet the client's expectations, so that he does not say that the bouquet turned out to be too small.

A little about finance

To start a second time, Sonya spent 60 thousand rubles. Bicycle "Salute" needed good repair, which accounted for most of the necessary expenses. True, and the cart for the "Velotsvetochnitsa" was included in the costs of arranging transport. Wooden structure was with a convenient showcase for the exhibition of ready-made bouquets.

Sonya Polskaya does not talk about income, referring to the lack of time, but she assures that the expenses have already paid off and we can talk about profit. Word of mouth is the best advertisement for the Veloflorist, and more and more buyers are eager to order a bouquet.

Just three months after the second birth of the project, Sonya had more than 2,500 followers on her Facebook page, and more than 600 and 650 on Instagram and VKontakte, respectively. Online orders are pouring in an endless stream, which sets Sonya on a positive wave.

According to the organizer of the "Velotsvetochnitsa", the strange conduct of business is justified by her passion, love for wild flowers. unusual business makes it possible to realize the originality of one's own and one's undertaking, which makes the lesson not boring. If Sonya was engaged in a business that millions could handle, she would have left him in a few days. Even more strange may seem Sonino's case due to the lack of a business plan.

The touching charm of wild flowers still inspires poets and lovers, gives a romantic mood. Field and whose names are diverse, today can be found in the most prestigious flower shops, because they look incomparable in fresh charming bouquets. And one has only to imagine an endless field strewn with blue cornflowers, yellow buttercups or white daisies, as fatigue, problems and resentment recede.

Why are they called that

Often the name of wild flowers speaks of the noticeable features of plants. The mother-and-stepmother is called that way thanks to the leaves - warm, terry on the one hand, smooth and cold on the other. Crail flowers resemble the beak of this slender bird, but look like a bell. Oregano has a unique aroma, especially when dried. Tea is very fragrant. Elecampane acquired its nickname due to the fact that it helps well with weakness and fatigue: it gives a person “nine strengths”. It also happens that the name of wild flowers is associated with myths and legends. They say that the cornflower is named after St. Basil the Great, who had a special sympathy for flowers, and is a symbol of kindness and spiritual purity. The flowers on the stems of Ivan da Mary got their name from the legend of unhappy love. The girl and the guy, having learned that they are each other's brother and sister, in order not to part, turned into flowers different shades. so called because at night the petals close tightly, and the plant droops, as if falling asleep. Another name for this flower is lumbago. According to legend, an angel shot an arrow at a demon hiding in the thickets of this plant and shot through the leaves.

two names

Each wild flower name has a second (botanical) name. In chicory, it sounds like this: Cichorium intybys. It comes from the Greek kio - "I go" and chorion - "alienated by the field." It is called so because often the plant can be found on the outskirts of fields. The name of the species intybus can be translated as "in the tube" - the flower has a hollow stem. The thistle plant has latin name Carduus nutans, which comes from the word cardo, meaning "hook". The white and pinkish flowers of the soapwort are scientifically called Saponaria and come from the Greek sapon, meaning "soap". The pubescent leaves and stems of the mullein called Verbascum come from the Latin word barbascum, which is etymologically related to barba - "beard". Other names of the plant: royal scepter, ataman-grass, fur coat. The botanical name of sage - Salvia - was born from the Latin word salvus and means "healthy". Sage is widely used as a medicinal plant.

Names of blue wildflowers. blue linen

Among the flowers that delight us with a cool heavenly shade, linen can be called the most delicate. Its Latin name - Línum - comes from the Celtic language, in which the word lin means "thread": the stalk of flax consists entirely of thin fibers. From time immemorial, the plant has healed, fed and clothed people. The remarkable quality of linen matter is its resistance to decay and an increase in strength during high humidity. Oil was made from the seed of this flax, which generously contains essential linolenic fatty acid, which is involved in the metabolism of humans and animals, preventing the development of cardiovascular diseases.

Charming doctor

There is no place where graceful and cute cornflowers would not grow. If there are no ears of corn, it means that there was certainly a grain field here, which is now reminiscent of blue flowers. They bloom from May to September. Latin name- Centauréa - originated from the Greek adjective centaureus, that is, belonging to the centaur. The myth says that with these flowers the centaur Chiron was cured of the poison of the hydra that bit him. Cornflower belongs to the Compositae family and is used in medicine as a decongestant. In folk therapy, infusion of flowers in snow water is used to treat eyes. In cosmetics, cornflower extract is used to produce cleansing, skin-tightening nutrients.

How forget-me-not got its name

Unpretentious forget-me-nots love moisture, they can be found along streams, in meadows, along river banks. The scientific name of this flower from the borage family - Myosótis - comes from the name "mouse ear", because, opening, the petals are very reminiscent of the ear of a rodent. And according to legend, the forget-me-not acquired a name when the goddess Flora descended to earth and bestowed names on flowers. It seemed to her that she respected everyone, but then a faint voice rang out behind her: “Don’t forget me too, Flora!” The goddess took a closer look and saw a tiny blue flower, called it forget-me-not and gave it the miraculous power to bring back the memory of people who had forgotten their homeland and loved ones.

Names of yellow wildflowers. Primrose

Primrose, or primrose, was popularly called the "golden keys". There is a legend. They hinted to the Apostle Peter, guarding the gates to Eden, that someone, without permission, wants to get into paradise with fake keys. The apostle, in fright, dropped a bunch of golden keys, it fell to the ground, and flowers similar to it grew in this place. Lovely yellow inflorescences appear in early spring, as if opening the way to light and heat. No wonder the botanical name - Prímula - originated from the Latin word prímus, that is, "first". Another name for primrose wildflowers is firstborn. Corollas with five petals are collected in racemes-inflorescences on smooth long stems. They are dried and brewed into an invigorating tea. There is a whole vitamin cocktail in primrose leaves. From its roots, healers prepare a cure for tuberculosis. And in the old days, Primrose was boiled from a flower and can pick up the signals of the ultrasonic field that occurs during an earthquake. It speeds up the movement of juices in the plant and makes it bloom faster. So the primrose is able to warn people of danger.

Priceless sweet clover

In the fields and meadows grows a magnificent honey plant and a healer - sweet clover. His Latin name - Melilótus - comes from the word "honey". And in Russia, these yellow wildflowers, whose names are bottom, are etymologically connected with the Slavic word "bottom". Infusions and decoctions from the plant helped with diseases, and from fresh leaves and flowers they prepared a healing plaster for wounds.

dangerous and beautiful

What a delightful picture is the field dotted with golden drops of buttercups! This flower with silky petals is so sweet and touching. Why does it have such a formidable name? The answer is simple - buttercup juice is very poisonous. It was from him that the drug was prepared, which plunged Juliet into a deep, death-like sleep. Scientists named the flower Ranúnculus, from the Latin word for frog, because the buttercup adores wet places. The plant blooms several times during the summer, and if the season is rainy, the flowers will be large and lush, and the stems will grow to the waist.

Finally

The names and pictures of wild flowers given in this article are only a small part of the richest flora of our wonderful planet. The gentle inhabitants of meadows and fields are not afraid of either heat or cold, they generously give their healing powers to everyone who is sick. The famous thinker of the Enlightenment, Jean Jacques Rousseau, asked his friends to take him to the meadow if he fell ill so that there was no longer any hope of recovery. Then, as the scientist assured, he would feel good again.

There should be few of them in the bouquet (children should be reminded of the preservation of the forest, meadow landscape). A field arrangement can be placed in a simple earthenware vessel, in a wooden dish, a wicker basket, a vase made of straw or birch bark. For large flowers. Such as gladiolus. transparent glass vessels, in artistic metal chasing. For undersized plants(snowdrop, violet, daisy, nasturtium, primrose) good low small vases round, rectangular or oval. It can be a low glass, a glass rosette for jam, a saucer where some water is poured and a flower is placed on its surface.

additionally decorating it on the sides with green leaves or fluffy twigs.

A composition of branches of maple, mountain ash or shrubs with berries (hawthorn, sea buckthorn, wild rose, snowberry) does not need to be deeply immersed in water, otherwise the berries, absorbing moisture, will quickly deteriorate. To do this, it is better to fill the vessel with wet sand and moisten it as it dries. Flowers are harvested in the early morning or evening - and in no case during the day in the hot sun, otherwise they do not last long in a bouquet and quickly wither. Children are very interested in studying nature and always admire the beauty of the shades of autumn leaves of maple, birch, mountain ash, and making bouquets from autumn branches or just individual leaves give them great pleasure.
