The essence of the problem

Everyone knows classic version- flowers in the window, on the windowsill. Of course, it has a right to exist, especially since such placement is well suited for the plants themselves. However, diversify interior interior premises with the help indoor flowers you can by distributing plants throughout the room. Stands will help with this various types.

In addition to the window sill, you can place house plants anywhere, even hanging them from the ceiling. For this purpose, there are many designs of devices based on different principles. The most popular varieties have become wall shelves, racks, hanging systems, floor flowerpots, decorative coasters for flowers on the windowsill, etc.

Which version of flower stands to choose depends on many factors, but most importantly, on the preferences of the owner. In general, the chosen style should be taken into account general design premises, type of plants, dimensions of the room, lighting (including natural), purpose of the room, requirements for caring for plants (in particular, the possibility of watering). Floral devices must be securely fastened, have sufficient strength and accessibility for flower care. The main task is to create comfort and aesthetic perception.

Huge assortment ready-made shelves and racks give you the opportunity to choose them, but only your own creativity allows you to realize your own ideas and optimally use the space. The question of how to make a flower shelf with your own hands can be solved quite simply. It can be made from a variety of materials (plywood, chipboard, board, plastic, glass, metal) and available materials. It is important to give the product an aesthetic appearance, do the work carefully and then securely fasten the structure.

Wall shelves

One of the most common options is a shelf for flowers on the wall. She may have different design and made from different materials. It is important that the shelf does not have too much mass, but at the same time allows you to stably place a flower pot on it. The dimensions and design depend on the number of pots installed. Excessive clutter is unlikely to improve perception. Rarely is a stand made for 1 flower. The most common placement is from 2 to 5 plants.

The simplest design involves 1 platform with decorative restrictions on the sides. You can make a shelf in the form of several parallel shelves with single side walls. The most popular are designs consisting of several platforms at different levels, and they can have the same or different lengths, partially overlap each other or go in different directions.

How can you combine horizontal areas into a single composition? There are several options:

  1. Common sidewalls: parallel horizontal platforms are attached to 2 vertical sidewalls. Sidewalls can be made of solid slabs (boards), individual slats or openwork elements.
  2. On wall strips or panels. In this case, a panel or several slats are attached to the wall surface, on which shelves are fixed perpendicular to the wall at different levels and different scheme.
  3. Rod connection: shelves are strung on metal or wooden rods.
  4. Intermediate elements. The following varieties can be noted:
  • common panel, from which in different directions on various levels the shelves are moving away;
  • small panels for attaching 2 nearest shelves at different levels, which makes it possible to form a branched pattern of their arrangement on the wall.

The shelf area may have different shape. The most common configurations are rectangle, square, circle, oval, segment or sector of a circle. The shelf can be given any original look, complex shape, which is determined by the owner’s imagination and interior design. They are most appropriate when using ultra-modern styles.

Required Tools

When making flower shelves with your own hands, you will need a tool, the choice of which will depend on the material used. The most frequently needed tool is:

  • Bulgarian;
  • electric drill;
  • screwdriver;
  • grinding machine;
  • milling cutter;
  • jigsaw;
  • plane;
  • hacksaw;
  • hacksaw for metal;
  • scissors;
  • screwdriver;
  • pliers;
  • clamp;
  • hammer;
  • mallet;
  • chisel.

Manufacturing process

The specifics of making shelves depends on the selected material:

  1. Wooden shelves. Wood is considered one of the most technologically advanced materials that can be easily processed. The connection of structural elements to each other can be carried out with screws, using the “groove-tenon” system with gluing or using metal corners. Natural wood has an attractive texture and therefore does not require additional cladding. During production, it is enough to treat the boards well and coat them with varnish. To emphasize the structure, impregnating and tinting materials are used. When using cheap or used wood, the shelves are painted.
  2. Chipboard. This common material requires a special approach. First of all, at a minimum, the front end of the shelf must be covered with decorative film, or even better, the entire panel must be covered. The connection of adjacent chipboard parts is made using a dowel (chopik). To do this, holes are drilled at the end of the shelf into which cylindrical dowels are attached with glue. Similar holes are made on the joined element. The connection point is fastened adhesive composition.
  3. Plywood. Most often it is mounted on wooden slats. The thickness of the plywood is chosen to be at least 10 mm. A jigsaw is used to give the desired shape.
  4. Glass. Glass shelves look very modern. You can attach them to the wall using brackets. The glass plane is freely installed in a wooden or metal frame, and pressed on top with a flower pot.

The sides of the shelves give a special decorative effect if they are made accordingly. The simplest option for sidewalls or intermediate common elements- board or chipboard the right size. Fastening the entire shelf to the wall, as a rule, is carried out precisely on these parts, for which metal strips with holes for anchor connections are fixed on top (for reliability and below).

The openwork design of the sidewalls gives the shelves a special sophistication. For this purpose, metal rods and wires are used, bent to form a specific pattern. Often, load-bearing parts are made of several slats or strips with decorative recesses.

Fastening shelves to the wall can be achieved in several ways. The most common are dowels. To do this, holes are drilled in the wall into which appropriate plastic or wooden parts are inserted. The shelves are screwed to them with screws (self-tapping screws). Another common method is brackets. They are first firmly fixed to the surface using dowels or anchors, after which the shelves are mounted.

Corner shelves

A specific type of wall shelves are the corner varieties. Placing indoor plants in the corners of the room allows you to optimally use all the space in the room. For this design, the shelf configuration in the form of a quarter circle is most suitable. For the simplest shelf, a T-shaped bracket is fixed in the corner, onto which a shelf made of the above materials is installed.

A more complex, but attractive option involves a system of several shelves, some of them extending from the corner in different directions along the wall. For example, the following design is in demand: 2 corner shelves, and between them there are ordinary wall stands extending in both directions. It is possible to make a shelf in the form of a corner. To do this, 2 platforms are fastened at right angles, the side ends are rounded.

Hanging structures

Hanging flower shelves look good in niches or window openings. From a practical point of view, systems designed for zoning space are of interest. In this case, suspended on different heights shelves with flowers provide the creation of a conditional wall that visually delimits the room.

Hanging structures can hang from the ceiling on cords, macrame, cables, or decorated slats. They can be hung using brackets attached to the wall. When zoning a room, a frame is built with a horizontal jumper, on which the cables for the shelves are secured. The shelves themselves can be made from any of the materials mentioned above. Glass varieties are popular.

They help free up the surface of the window sill hanging shelves V window opening. To do this, a hole is drilled in the upper beam of the opening and an anchor is secured to secure the retaining elements. Such a shelf can be made for 1 flower pot, and then the top is fastened at 1 point. If an elongated flower stand is planned, then 2 or 4 anchors are installed.

Flower racks

The flower rack is designed to be installed on the floor with the possibility of maximum and optimal placement flower pots. Unlike furniture items, a flower rack should not “kill” its capitality, i.e. shouldn't shade flowering plants. For example, the following constructions can be given:

  1. Wooden corner type rack. On a rectangular base 50-60 cm long and 30-40 cm wide, a vertical stand 80-100 cm high and 10-15 cm wide is fixed on 2 adjacent sides. wooden plate. Between the base and the top plate, 2-3 shelves of a size similar to the base are mounted at different levels. Attachment to one rack should be alternated: if the bottom shelf is installed with the long side, then the next one with the short side.
  2. Rack made of plastic and metal. 3-4 shelves of the original configuration are cut out of plastic with a thickness of at least 10 mm. They are installed on chrome or nickel plated metal pipe with a diameter of 2-3 cm. Can be used as shelves plastic window sill, which is cut into pieces 30-40 cm long. Such rectangular shelves are attached at different levels.

Shelves for flowers will help to optimally use the space of the room and decorate the interior. You can make them yourself from different materials, choosing the design that is most suitable for a particular room.

Indoor plants are a beautiful addition to the decor of a room. They are suitable for absolutely any interior, pleasing to the eye and purify the air in the room. Deciding on design and construction

The lightest and most original configuration is considered suspension system. In this version, you can come up with any design and shape. It can be built in the form of a tree or branch. Such a masterpiece can be hung anywhere convenient place, it does not take up much space and looks harmonious in any interior. Unusual design solutions are very popular:

  • configurations in the form of a separate continent or piece of a planet;
  • honeycombs, rings, ovals (placed together and separately);
  • “ladders”, “Christmas trees” or “twigs”;
  • ribbon-shaped.

There are many options for wall and floor shelves on the Internet. But before you start making the option you like, you need to understand whether it will suit you. How to understand which flower shelf you need?

The configuration is easy to hang in the yard or on windows.

To decide what exactly you need, you need to know a few nuances:

  • the number of flowerpots that will be placed on the surface;
  • plant species;
  • the interior of the room where the shelves for flowers are located;
  • the desire and taste of the hostess.

Unusual design solutions are very popular.

These are the main factors that you need to pay first attention to when planning your design.

It is worth remembering that there are flower shelves: single, double and multi-seat. The number of places depends on the number of house plants.

In addition, for a craft to become beautiful, it is not necessary to paint it or attach anything to it.

Single-seat options can only place a flowerpot. Such structures are installed at home and on the street. Climbing house plants look good on them. This type of shelves can be wall-mounted or floor-mounted.

Single-seat options can only place a flowerpot.

The second option is usually hung on the walls. Multi-seat options can accommodate a maximum of 5-7 flowerpots. Their big advantage is their compactness and large capacity.

If the only free space for furniture is a corner. This won't stop us! There are special corner structures that will help us. They fit perfectly into a corner and hold 5-7 flowerpots. Furniture is placed on the walls and floors.

Nothing decorates like this own house like handmade things.

You can choose any design for the new shelf. Sections can be either rectangular or zigzag. Wall sections can be designed in the form of a tree or branch. If the sections are placed on the street or balcony, they can be painted in a bright shade.

If the only free space for furniture is a corner.

Glass furniture will add style and elegance to the room. It will fit well into any interior. This option is good for small rooms, since things made of glass do not take up space, but due to their transparency, on the contrary, they expand the room.

Which material is better to choose

There are several types of raw materials for constructing shelves:

  • metal;
  • plastic;
  • tree;
  • glass;
  • combined material.

You can choose any design for the new shelf.

Metal structures are very durable and can withstand a lot of weight. This configuration looks expensive and solid. But it requires special care and special treatment, otherwise corrosion may occur and the flower shelves will deteriorate.

It’s almost impossible to build a plastic cabinet yourself. It can be ordered in stores or online. They are unpretentious and very easy to use. Sections can be chosen in any shade. Since plastic is very flexible, crafts made from it can have different shapes and size. They are easy to wash and move as they are lightweight.

If the sections are placed on the street or balcony, they can be painted in a bright shade.

Wooden crafts are very popular. But the furniture is not convenient to use. When watering plants, water often gets on the surface of the stand or board, which can rot and swell. If you decide to build a shelf out of wood, it must be carefully processed and the surface well coated with a special varnish.

Glass structures have a simple, sophisticated appearance, but to build it you need to have experience working with glass. They need special care. And you can’t put a lot of weight on such stands. They are good if you need to place one or two pots.

Metal structures are very durable and can withstand a lot of weight.

Combination sections include several components. Usually it is wood with metal or glass with metal. Crafts have an unusual appearance. They can withstand a lot of weight due to the combination of materials, and are not very fussy about cleaning.

The benefits of creating a masterpiece yourself

The main advantage is that such work costs significantly less than buying a flower rack in a store. To make furniture you will need a little patience, raw materials from which the craft will be made and tools.

The range of store stands is very small. Not all purchased good quality. Most often, in stores and on the Internet, there are the same type of cabinets that are found in every home. Some sections will not fit your interior or room dimensions.

It needs special care and special treatment, otherwise corrosion may occur and the flower shelves will deteriorate.

When making a craft with your own hands, you have the opportunity to independently choose the size, shade, design and location of the structure. New universal furniture will only be in your home.

When creating outdoor furniture for plants, it is possible to take into account the nuances of its placement. Build it so that the flower rack is out of the way and does not have to be walked around. You can create a sliding or moving structure that can be moved to the desired location at any time.

Wooden crafts are very popular.

To make a stand, you don't have to buy something from the store. You can build a stand from an old garage cabinet or an unnecessary ladder.

Required materials

To make a classic shelf you will need:

  • board made of wood, chipboard, MDF, plastic or metal;
  • plywood;
  • screws;
  • plugs;
  • additional tools;
  • paint for decoration;
  • varnish (when working with boards).

Combination sections include several components.

Additional tools can also be used to decorate the structure. If the furniture is floor-standing, you may need legs or wheels to secure the cabinet to the floor.

Required Tools

To assemble the configuration you will need the following tools:

  • screwdriver;
  • building level;
  • electric drill;
  • saw;
  • pencil for marking;
  • hammer;
  • screwdriver;
  • roulette;
  • ruler.

They can withstand a lot of weight due to the combination of materials, and are not very fussy about cleaning.

The choice of fasteners will depend on the raw materials of the future configuration. The heavier the raw material, the more powerful the fastening is needed. If you plan to install wall mounted shelf for metal flowers, then for fastening you must use welding machine. Otherwise, there is a chance that the stand will fall soon.

Manufacturing process: step-by-step instructions

Before you start designing wooden craft you need to make sure that the drawings are correct and the parts fit together. This is very important if you plan to make a cabinet with doors or a back wall.

After the materials have been selected and verified, you can begin the main work.

To make furniture you will need a little patience, raw materials from which the craft will be made and tools.

Step by step instructions

  1. Preparation of material.

The length of the boards must be selected based on the space where the rack will be located. The width of the craft should be rather large. It should freely accommodate a pot of medium or large sizes. To make the same distance between the shelves, you can put extra bars in the middle.

  1. We drill holes.

To make this craft you will need a regular drill with a large drill bit. You need to make two holes in each shelf. They should be located parallel to each other. In general, it turns out that there are two holes for each fragment. A thick rope should fit freely into the hole. If the holes are smaller, then there is a chance that the shelf will be fragile.

When making a craft with your own hands, you have the opportunity to independently choose the size, shade, design and location of the structure.

  1. We thread the rope

Almost everything is ready to construct the stand. All that remains is to thread a thick rope through the holes and hang the flower shelf. After the rope is inserted through all the holes, tie a strong knot at the bottom of the product. We make a loop from the top of the rope so that we can hang the shelf.

We install the structure.

After all the main work is done, you can begin installing the finished product. Since almost all the walls in houses are made of brick or concrete, we will need an electric drill for work.

To make a stand, you don't have to buy something from the store.

We make markings on the wall where it will be located. We drill holes for fasteners and install it. Firmly fix the product onto the fasteners. Now you can put pots with plants on it.

DIY corner wooden rack

To save space in the room, you can make a corner rack for violets and lilies. The stages of preparing the material are almost the same as when constructing a regular wall cabinet. But there is one caveat. The ends of the upper and lower parts must be cut at an angle.

If the furniture is floor-standing, you may need legs or wheels to secure the cabinet to the floor.

Step by step instructions

All elements of the upper part need to be coated with glue and connected (there should be an angle of 90 degrees). We do the same with the lower parts of the structure. After the glue has dried, treat the wood with a primer mixture. We make two holes for fastening. We make holes in the wall and install fasteners. We fix finished product to the right place.

It is worth remembering that there are flower shelves: single, double and multi-seat.

At first glance, making a regular shelving unit is not that difficult. But this simple designs stands. There are more complex configurations where the shelves must be fastened according to a specific pattern. You need to be especially careful when choosing materials. It is necessary to take into account the climate where the rack will be located, the weight of the items and the humidity of the environment. To understand which shelf is best to build, you first need to decide on your construction skills. Depending on how well you get along with tools and how well you know how to do certain things, the quality of the work depends.

The final stage is decoration

When creating a rack, you can come up with your own product design. By choosing the right materials and spending a little time, you will get a unique masterpiece!

The choice of fasteners will depend on the raw materials of the future configuration.

For example, a plastic product comes in different palettes. To make the design original, you can attach decorative handrails to it.

To decide what exactly you need, you need to know a few nuances.

The wooden shelf is coated with glitter varnish. This gives shine and shine to the product.

Glass shelves are often decorated with patterned metal elements.

In addition, for a craft to become beautiful, it is not necessary to paint it or attach anything to it. It’s enough just to place pots and beautiful pebbles, toys, and shells on it. Furniture can also be decorated with various fakes and toys. Don't be afraid to experiment! Create new masterpieces and improve your skills! A rack for indoor plants is just the beginning. Nothing decorates your home like handmade items.

There are many options for wall and floor shelves on the Internet.

  • Glass. Thanks to this material, some plants will receive the amount of light they need.
  • Plywood. Easy to use and allows you to show real design imagination.

Plywood rack

If you suddenly have several pieces of plywood lying around somewhere, then this is an excellent reason to make a good shelving unit.

In a short time you can transform your apartment with a new decorative element. In addition to plywood, you need to have:

  • several galvanized pipes;
  • special fasteners;
  • material for dyeing;
  • jigsaw;
  • sandpaper;
  • ruler and pencil;
  • drill.

Now you can start the work itself:

  • We measure the space we want to use for the shelf location.
  • Let's make a small sketch.
  • We transfer all the drawings onto plywood.

  • Using a jigsaw we cut out the part.
  • We sand the resulting product using sandpaper.
  • Using a jigsaw and drill, we cut out a place for the pipes..
  • We put pipes through the holes made in the shelf.
  • We screw the rack to the wall.

Plastic rack

Flowers are often placed in the place near the windows. But why use space so irrationally?

It’s better to make a shelf yourself based on the window sill. To create a rack, in addition to it, you need to have:

  • 3 galvanized pipes;
  • 9 flanges to secure the material;
  • 2 brackets.

Now let's get down to work:

  • We divide our window sill into three equal parts.
  • In each of them we make 3 holes through which a pipe can be passed. They can be placed arbitrarily.

  • We cut the pipes so that their length is equal to the height of the shelf.
  • We fasten all parts with flanges.
  • We put brackets on the pipes and fasten them to the wall.

Glass shelves

Working with glass is a rather complex process that requires some skills. If you do not have them, then it is advisable to contact special workshops.

To work you will need:

  • glass cutting tool;
  • hacksaw;
  • large glass that is divided into 6 parts;
  • 8 iron corners;
  • 2 wooden planks.

Work progress:

  • Cut the large glass into 6 small pieces.
  • In the slats we cut a groove 0.5 deep from the width of the future rack.
  • We place the boards on the corners, which are attached to the wall from below and above.
  • We insert the ready-made rack into the grooves.

Wooden shelf

Tree - excellent material, which is quite easy to use.

To make a shelf using wood you will need:

  • 2 boards 200 cm long with a cross section of 20×20 millimeters;
  • 6 small boards of 200 cm each and with a cross section of 35×5 mm;
  • sandpaper;
  • hammer and nails;
  • jigsaw;

Let's get started:

  • We cut the strips into 60 cm pieces.
  • We cut the boards: 4 pieces of 70 centimeters each and 6 pieces of 20 centimeters each.
  • We sand the whole thing with sandpaper.

  • We make from the most long boards racks.
  • We nail small boards to the edges of the rack.
  • We lay planks on the boards and hammer in nails to improve the fastening of the structure.

If you put in just a little time, you can get an excellent flower shelf that will delight you for a long time.

Don't be lazy and decorate your home with excellent decorative elements.

Photo of shelves for flowers

A cozy atmosphere in the house depends on even the smallest details. Everything should be in harmony: curtains, furniture, and various interior accessories. Thanks to indoor flowers, you can also create a good atmosphere, but you need to place the pots with them correctly. Beautiful floor and wall shelves for flowers with your own hands will not only decorate the interior of the room, but will also allow you to rationally place any compositions.

Let's pay attention to step by step instructions and learn how to make a flower shelf with your own hands. The product described below has a stepped structure, which will allow flowers in pots to receive an equal amount of light. A homemade shelf is an opportunity to wisely use the available space with minimal financial investment.

The completed flower rack has the following parameters:

  • 508 mm width;
  • 518 mm depth;
  • 456 mm height;
  • weight – 4.5 kg.

To make a flower shelf made of wood, white oak, cypress, pine or mahogany are used. Assembly is carried out using screws from stainless steel, the size of which is 4.5x38 mm.

Preparing parts

We cut out the rear and front supports (A and B) according to the dimensions indicated in the figures. At the ends of the front legs we make bevels at an angle of 25°. At the bottom of the legs we mark curves with a radius of 20 mm, cut them out (you can use a jigsaw or band saw) and sand along the contour lines.

Click to enlarge

On the supports (B), which will be located at the back, mark the centers of the mounting holes. The centers of the mounting holes are transferred to the front supports (A) from the rear legs (B) - this is already done when assembling the bookcase. On the outer edges of all legs, roundings must be milled, the radius of which should be 3 mm. After this, sand the supports using sandpaper, the grain size of which is 150 units.

Pay attention! Having made a shelf for flowers according to the specified parameters and based on the given drawings, in the future it will be possible, for example, to make shelves on the wall with your own hands. Wall shelves also add zest to the interior of the living space. They can be backlit, which will further decorate the room.

According to the specified dimensions, we cut out the following parts for the shelf:

  • side supports for the bottom shelf (C) - 19x51x492 - 2 pcs. ;
  • side supports for the middle shelf (D) - 19x51x337 - 2 pcs. ;
  • side supports for the top shelf (E) - 19x102x159 - 2 pcs. ;
  • lower and middle crossbars (F), which will be located at the back - 19x51x406 - 1 pc. ;
  • top crossbar (G), which will be installed at the rear - 19x102x406 - 4 pcs.

We draw curves, the radius of which is 20 mm, at the bottom on the front corners of the lower and middle side supports. We do the same on the upper side supports, only here we make roundings with a radius of 50 mm. To help you make a shelf for flowers from wood and scrap materials, drawings are offered. We sand all the drawn curves along the contour, and then we sand all the other parts of the wooden shelf to a smooth state.

On the crossbars F and G. Which will be located at the back, we mark, based on the drawing, the centers of the holes for subsequent attachment of the side supports to them.

According to the specified dimensions, we cut out the long (H) and short (I) strips of the product. Along the edges, corners and ends of the ribs of the shelf strips, we mill roundings with a radius of 3 mm. After this, we mark the centers of the auxiliary holes on the slats.

Pay attention! On the long and short slats, the holes are located the same way, but on one of the back slats for the top shelf they are placed slightly differently.

Assembling shelves

Step 1. Lay out the lower side supports (C) and the crossbar (F) in accordance with the drawing. We drill mounting holes through the rear crossbar into the side supports (the markings were made earlier) and screw stainless steel screws measuring 4.5x38 mm into them, having a countersunk head.

Step 2. To secure the shelf strips H and I, we insert a spacer, the length of which is 368 mm, between the side supports C. We fix the squareness of the assembly using a carpenter's square, pressing it with clamps. To place the internal long strip on the upper edges of the side supports, we place marks at a distance of 378 mm from the rear end of the part. Using the marks, we align the rear edge of the long plank until the end overhangs are the same. Now we drill the mounting holes and secure the bar with screws. We install the second long strip in front of the first, based on the drawing and using spacers, the thickness of which is 6 mm. After this, we attach two short ones behind the long slats.

Step 3. We connect the middle side supports D with the crossbar F using short and long shelf strips, according to the principle described in steps 1 and 2. But in this case there will be a slight difference: the alignment marks on the middle side supports must be placed at a distance of 225 mm from the rear ends of the parts. After that we connect:

  • upper side supports (E);
  • top rear crossbar (G);
  • three long shelf strips (H).

We check the previously marked top back bar for correct orientation and then secure it flush with the rear edge of the top bar. We fix all the other planks of the floor shelf, leaving a distance of 6 mm between them.

Product assembly

To install the rear legs (B), mark on their front edges the position where the lower and middle shelves will be located (see the very first drawing). We secure the rear leg with a clamp on the workbench with the marked edge facing up. At an angle of 90° we press the lower, middle and upper shelves to the leg using clamps. In this case, you need to align the lower edges of the lower and middle side supports (C and D) with the marks on the leg, referring to the photo below. We drill mounting holes through the leg into each shelf and screw screws into them. After this, we attach the other rear leg.

Attach the back leg to the shelves

Now let the almost finished shelf for indoor flowers lie on the back side. At this time we will assemble the remaining parts of the structure.

We clamp the front leg (A) with clamps, pressing its front edge against the rear edges of the inner long strips (H) of the lower and middle shelves. In this case, we adjust the upper end bevel along the underside of the upper shelf slats, based on the photo. Align the carpenter's square with the centers of the mounting holes on the rear legs (B). Departing 16 mm from the front and rear edges, mark the centers for the holes on the front leg. We drill mounting holes and screw screws into them. We repeat the procedure to secure the second front leg.

We sand all places that require such a procedure and remove dust from the product. After this we apply protective coating. If a decision has been made to make flower shelves that will be located outside, the protective coating must meet these goals.

We transfer the finished product of our labor to the place where it is installed and place it on the shelves flower pots. Now the flowers will enjoy the sunlight and pamper the eyes of those around them.

Hole preparation

In each shelf we drill a hole along the edges with a drill with a thick drill bit. The holes must be parallel to each other. The hole should be of such a diameter that a thick rope can easily fit into it.

We stretch the rope

We stretch the rope through all the holes and knit a strong, reliable knot under the product. We make a loop at the top of the rope so that it can be hung later.

Installation of the structure

After completing the main steps, you can begin installing the shelf.

On the wall, carefully use a pencil to mark the marks for the holes. We drill them out and install the fasteners.

We securely secure the shelf to the fasteners. We display flowerpots with flowers.

Corner shelf

To save space in the apartment, you can make a corner shelf from lumber. You can keep any plants on such a shelf. The procedure for preparing parts is identical to a regular shelf. The only difference is that the ends of the shelves are cut at an angle.

Assembly steps include:

  • We coat the parts of the upper section with wood glue and connect them together at an angle of 90 degrees;
  • We also assemble the middle and lower sections;
  • after the adhesive layer has completely hardened, coat the workpieces with a primer;
