The material from which upholstered furniture is made is one of the main factors determining its cost. All furniture factories have their own classification of materials. We will tell you about the Pinskdrev factory, whose products are the main offer of our store.

The collection of the Pinskdrev furniture factory includes about 300 fabrics, 100 leather substitutes and 100 natural leathers. All materials are divided into groups, depending on their cost.

Fabrics and artificial leathers

All fabrics belong to groups from 19 to 27. This means that the cheapest solutions belong to group 19, more expensive options are in group 20, and so on up to 27. In no case can one say that fabrics from group 19 are by definition worse, than options, for example from 22.

Some fabrics are more expensive to produce, others are more expensive to purchase, and therefore are placed in a higher group. This doesn't always mean they are of higher quality. They're just more expensive. We always recommend choosing the fabric that you like the most in appearance, and not paying attention to what category it belongs to.

Artificial leather is also classified as different groups: the cheapest of them will be in group 19, the most expensive are in group 25. However, in this case, the difference in quality will be really noticeable. Cheaper materials are thin and unnatural to the touch, while in 24-25 groups ECO leathers are presented, the feel of which is comparable to natural leather.

Genuine Leather

Leather sofas can be made in three versions. Genuine leather is divided into several groups, depending on which the price is determined. upholstered furniture.

115 group - combined option from artificial and natural leather. The seat, back and armrests in this case will be made of genuine leather, and all secondary elements (sides, bottom, back) will be made of artificial leather identical in color and texture. This is the most cheap option purchasing leather furniture, which in appearance is very difficult to distinguish from a completely leather sofa. Its only drawback is that if over time the seams of the artificial leather come apart a little, the bottom lining will be visible white. That is why most customers prefer to buy in full leather sofas, which are 100-150 USD more expensive. which is not significant in the overall cost of the model.

120 group - genuine leather Russian production. This group includes the largest assortment color shades and different optimal combination prices and quality. This quality product, which will serve you faithfully for many years. It does not stretch or fray, which is what some customers are so afraid of. The difference in price between 115 and 120 groups is about 150 USD .

140 group - genuine leather made in Italy, which is distinguished by a softer finish, as well as shades, analogues of which are not available in the 120 group. The overpayment for natural coca of group 140 compared to group 120 is on average 200-300 USD .

We recommend that you start your selection with the external component. Find the skin that you like in appearance and feel, and then look at which group it belongs to. Practice shows that most often clients choose Russian leather (at an affordable price and large selection shades). If the model you like belongs to group 140, think about whether you are ready to overpay.

Pricing of upholstered furniture

The price of the ordered model is determined by the fabric that is placed on the seat and back of the product. At the same time, the group of fabric chosen for the accompanying parts should not differ from the main one by more than 3 steps. For example, you can choose fabric for a seat from group 24 and order cushions from fabric belonging to group 27. However, a combination of a seat from group 20 and other parts, for example from 24, will not work.

Each product card on our website contains a price table, from which you can find out the price of the model you are interested in in the materials of various groups.

Fabrics used by the Pinskdrev factory are ranked by category or group. The ranking is made depending on the composition of the fabric and its manufacturer.

The categories of our fabrics are divided into nine groups: 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27. Each group may include various types upholstery. The cost of the product is determined in ascending order by the group of fabric used for its upholstery.

The groups of fabrics "Royal collection" are subject to a separate ranking, from which upholstered furniture of premium collections are produced, significantly different in color design and quality characteristics. These materials are distributed in groups from 27 to 36.

Furniture from the Pinskdrev company is upholstered in the following fabrics: flock, jacquard, velor, chenille, faux suede.

✔ FLOCKS

Flock is not essentially a woven material. This fabric is created by applying a thin pile of nylon to an adhesive base. This results in a coating with even pile, which is soft and durable. Flocks are divided into embossed and on which the design is printed. Externally and in terms of mechanical properties, flocks are very similar to velor. These fabrics are often confused. Flock pile can be either natural or synthetic. Cotton or polyester is used as the base material (if the cost of the fabric decreases). A combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton threads is often used. This flock combination is the most durable and has impressive performance characteristics.

The significant advantages of flock include:

Resistance to tearing and stretching, which increases the practicality of this material.
- Flock perfectly repels liquid, so it can be cleaned with a damp sponge.
- It allows air to pass through well and “breathes.”
- Feels as nice as more expensive velor and can be dyed in a variety of colors.
- Easy to care for, easy to brush, vacuum or wipe with a damp cloth.
- Does not wrinkle and retains its aesthetic appearance for a long time.

✔ JACQUARDS

Jacquard weaving produces a fabric of maximum density in which the threads different colors intertwine unevenly, forming the actual pattern. Jacquard is a popular and highly sought after material in the production of upholstered furniture. Jacquards are a whole group of fabrics, each of which can have a unique, very clear, relief pattern.

Jacquard practically does not wrinkle, which means it does not deform over time, which prolongs the life of your furniture.
- The fabric has a certain rigidity, but at the same time it is very light.
- Has a rich and luxurious look.
- Easy to clean.

✔ CHENILLES

Chenilles can be classified as jacquards. They are comparable in weaving complexity. Each Nitchenilla is actually made up of two intertwined threads, one of which is fluffy, the other smooth. At the same time, the threads are extremely difficult to stretch and fit perfectly into the fabric structure. In this case, both natural (cotton) and synthetic threads can be used in one fabric.

The main properties of chenille include:

Strength and resistance to wear, achieved by the peculiarity of the fabric structure and the presence in its composition synthetic threads.
- Chenille is environmentally friendly, thanks to cotton fibers.
- The fabric is not harmful to health. Chenille is hypoallergenic and does not retain odors.
- Chenille is not subject to fading, due to the color fastness, it practically does not rub off.

✔ VELOR

It is a knitted pile fabric with a dense weave that does not stretch well, giving velor strength. The material has a soft shine and holds color well. Velor fabrics are usually made from natural fibers: wool, cotton, silk. It is possible to produce fabric using nylon or polyester threads.

The advantages of velor include:

Strength. It is achieved by the density of the base weave, making the velor resistant to mechanical stress.

Velor does not lose its aesthetic appearance for many years. Does not stretch or shrink.
- Velor - very soft fabric, very pleasant to the tactile sensations.
- Velor fabrics allow air to pass through and “breathe” well.
- They maintain body temperature well, making them very comfortable to use.
- Do not fade, resistant to color retention.

✔ ARTIFICIAL SUEDE

As a replacement for natural suede, its artificial counterpart is increasingly being used, which is a fabric that has a satin weave of fibers and processing that makes it resemble the original. Visually and in terms of characteristics, artificial suede is similar to natural one, but at the same time, this fabric has excellent properties in terms of stretch and strength. Artificial suede “breathes”, has good strength, can be made in almost any color solutions. This material is very convenient to use.

Skin groups

When ordering upholstered furniture, you can choose from more than forty colors of genuine leather. Samples are presented in each of our branded showrooms.

The leather that goes into the production of Pinskdrev sofas and armchairs is ranked as follows:

✔ ARTIFICIAL LEATHER

105 group.
In this group, the furniture upholstery is made of artificial leather.
- 115 group.
When choosing this group, you get upholstered furniture, all of whose “working” surfaces, namely: the seat, back cushions, and the upper sides of the armrests, are made of genuine leather. The sides and upholstery of the back wall of the furniture - that is, the sides that do not bear the operational load - are made of eco-leather, according to appearance identical to the original.

Artificial leather is produced by applying a layer polymer material on a fabric base. In this case, the application can be either surface or impregnation, to improve tensile and deformation characteristics. After applying the polymer faux leather It goes through an embossing stage, during which it acquires a texture that imitates natural leather.

Contrary to popular belief, artificial leather has a number of advantages over natural leather. These include:

Hypoallergenic.
- Uniformity of coloring, which is very important for furniture in the Art Nouveau style.
- Smoothness and uniformity of the surface, without the defects inherent in natural leather.
- No “sticking” effects in hot weather or “tanning” in cold weather.
- Almost any color scheme.

✔ GENUINE LEATHER

120, 140, 150 leather groups vary in price upward depending on the manufacturer and quality of manufacture.

It should be noted that the Pinskdrev company uses only leather from the so-called “first cut” and carefully monitors the absence of “natural” defects.
