Show walkthrough dark souls 3. With iris from the Sunless Lands. Cold Valley Dancer

Start. Ash cemetery.

The game is completely linear, but there are branches here and there. Where we find it, we'll tell you about it.

So let's run ahead. Immediately on the right there will be a turn to the right and back. There we are waiting for a small supply of souls. We run out and run further along the corridor, simultaneously destroying weak zombies. We run to a small area with destroyed skeletons of houses. Again there will be a turn to the right, there, too, it will be possible to profit from the supply of the soul, then it will be guarded by a hefty glass-frosty porcupine. It is absolutely impossible to defeat him, because he kills with one blow, and even pumps his own life. Therefore, as we can quietly sneak, if possible, turn on the stealth mode.

We return to the site, having run away from the awakened porcupine (it will catch up with you for a long time). We run a little in the center and to the right. Now we have a cliff on the right, and a rock on the left. Run along the corridor to the first turn to the left, there you will see a sarcophagus with a supply of soul. From the eleventh attempt, try to jump on it.

Then go along the only path where the crossbowman will be waiting for you (you need to roll in front of him, he will miss). Before that, go back a little. To the right of your path there will be another path with two zombies. To get to it, run back a little, and you will see a downward spiral turn (behind the cliff). There will be two zombies. Kill and take a set and 5 bombs. He will be needed. We run into the arena, take out the sword from the giant. This is the first boss.

Judge Gundyr.

Everything is very difficult. The main thing is rolls and, if you can, constantly hold on to him from the back. Naturally, activate auto-aim. If you pass on the keyboard, then it will be the Q keys or the center mouse button. Keeping a distance with the boss is pointless: his huge broadsword gets everywhere. Even there, if it seems to you that you will not be hooked, the game will make it hook. From the first time, it will not work to kill the boss, but from the tenth time - completely. Don't try too hard to block his attacks with your shield. Nothing good will come of it. The main thing is to roll in such a way that you are behind him, and it doesn’t matter in which direction you roll, even towards him, the main thing is to do it at the moment when he has already swung and brings down the weapon on you. As soon as the boss mutates, he becomes an easy target - finish him off, take the sword from him (you will need to stick it in the central circle of the Temple of Fire, and move on.

Temple of Fire.

So far, everything is linear here: run to the right along the corridor, kill enemies, run into the Temple. The Deserter will sit on the steps to the right. Talk to him, he will give you a figurine called Collapse. Now you can hit him and run back to the passage. The deserter is a strong opponent, but he cannot run out of the temple. He will get stuck on the steps, resting against an invisible wall. Kill him as best you can, but at the same time be prepared that he will drink estus three times, but by fixing him on the threshold of the temple, you must deal with him. Now return to the temple.

As soon as we ran into the temple, we climb up the stairs, run along the corridor and turn right. We run out to the site, go up the stairs to the left, then to the left and rest against the tree and the tiled roof of the house. There, on the left, there will be a set of 5 return tiles. We need to jump in there. Most likely, you will succeed on the 30th attempt, but maybe earlier. To do this, you need to understand the settings where you have a jump, and where is a roll. By default, this is one key in the settings. We managed to jump only when the jump became a separate key, and the jump only works while running. You need to run into a tree, taking a step as if on it, and then try to jump onto the roof. It will look like this:

Run around the roof and turn right. We run to the center of the crossed parapet, located under the arch of the roof. We listen to the cat, and leave to eat one of the bombs raised earlier. We take the illuminated good nearby, return to the bomb, which has become a piece of titanite, pick it up, and then run to the wall against which the left parapet rests, jump into it, and find ourselves in a secret location. We run to the end along the beams, jump down and take the Silver Ring of the Greedy Serpent in the right chest, which increases the number of souls received. Then we jump down, not forgetting to turn on the "soft landing", we communicate with the NPC, and go to the central circle. Here we can travel to the next location High Wall of Lothric, or you can run to the tower by running out of the Temple and turning left. The tower will be guarded by a naked samurai with a sword, who will have to fight in close quarters, so it will be a very difficult opponent, more abruptly than the Deserter. Further behind him, if you manage to defeat him, there will be an entrance to the fortress, the key to which you need to buy from a merchant in the temple. The key costs as much as 20,000 souls, which are this stage you definitely don't. So, we return to the fire and go to the High Wall of Lothric.

As we progress through the game Dark Souls 3, we will add links to new parts here.

Moreover, the situation is complicated by the fact that you can find out about the vast majority of these very secrets if you only explore every nook and cranny in this game, well, or if you familiarize yourself with the relevant material. For example, with ours, in which we will reveal ten secrets of Dark Souls 3 that you may not know about.

Secret number 1. Hidden path in the Undead Settlement.

When you advance a little in the Undead Settlement, sooner or later you will come across a location with a small area with a burning tree, where several zombie peasants and, in fact, a fat shepherd in a woman's dress with a prayer book in his hands are praying. This is a famous location, everyone remembers it and it is absolutely impossible to pass by it. The walkthrough is known to require you to cross this square and turn a little to the right into a nearby tunnel, however, if you do so, you will lose access to one of the most interesting secret locations that can be accessed by turning to the right of the bonfire site.

You need to get to the right of this famous scene

You need to move to the far side of the bridge, go just over the bridge, where you will be ambushed by some serious bots. If you win, you will see a big guy with a saw and a cage basket on his back nearby. If you have the "Cat Paws" magic, use it, if not, then just try to sneak up as quietly as possible to this very character, but just don't attack him, but come closer and press the interaction button. Your hero will climb into a cage and be taken to a moat of corpses, where you can make an alliance with a new faction, whose representatives you can call on to fight some bosses. True, there is one obligatory condition here - the Cursed Tree must not be killed. If the tree has already been defeated, then the focus will not work.

Secret number 2. Crow on the roof of the Temple of the Sun.

Probably only those who do not know what Dark Souls 3 is have not heard about the crow that made its nest on the roof of the Temple of the Sun. We also talked about her, and even devoted a whole material to the items that can be obtained from her by giving her what -something in return, therefore, we will not particularly expand on this topic, adding that you can get to it in two ways: by buying a key to the tower from a maid for 20 thousand souls, and jumping to the left onto the roof peak when you run along the bridge between the towers (crow will be at the end of the roof), or jump onto the roof, having previously pushed off from the tree, which is located right there near the entrance to the tower, where you use the key. That you can get on that roof, you will see from the good lying on it and luminous. If you can jump onto the roof, then, after reaching the attic and walking along the beam, you will come across a phantom wall located at the end of the far beam. Behind the wall, you can jump down and get a valuable ring in the chest.

Secret number 3. Smoldering Lake.

You can either jump into the Lake or break the bridge and get down on it

This lake is located in the Catacombs of Karthus. There are two ways to get there: either you jump down using the “cat paws” magic, which, for example, the Killer has, or you reach the suspension and extremely flimsy bridge, run across it and start cutting the ropes. On the other side, a crowd of skeletons will immediately run towards you, if you do everything right, the bridge will collapse and the skeletons will fall. Comes to the edge of the hanging bridge and climb down using it as a ladder. Then run a little more down and you will find yourself in this very lake. It's very dangerous there. Not only will there be huge spears thrown at you (three each with a short break), from which only trees will cover you, but there will also be a huge fire worm to the left, several giant crabs and an optional boss Old Demon King will be on the left behind the foggy wall, by killing which you can get a hefty sledgehammer in the transposition furnace in the Temple of Fire (and if you kill a simple fire demon similar to Diablo, and living near the Lake, you can exchange his soul for a fire ax (the ax will be cooler, because it turns out to beat them much more vigorously But in general, it is worth saying that Smoldering Lake is one of the most dangerous locations in general in the entire game, so you should run there only when you are completely confident in your abilities, and it is desirable to have a hero of at least level 40.

Secret number 4. Elevator in the Undead Settlement.

If you ask a giant, he will stop throwing stones.

In the Undead Settlement, there is another secret location that can be reached by elevator. Having reached the door, behind which there will be the boss Cursed Great Tree, turn around and run to the opposite door. Climb the stairs, run into the village and keep to the left (the second time you don't need to climb the stairs). On the left there will be a bridge, on it is an aunt-priest, a couple of big men throwing cauldrons, a dog and some other small things. You need to make your way further, run to the big gate and go inside. There you will see an elevator. Click on it and move away. The elevator will go down, but you need a platform that will come down from above. Stand on it and it will lift you to the roof, where there will be a giant throwing stones at you before that. If you ask him not to throw stones, he agrees, and now he will only throw them at your enemies. Next, we go down, but, somewhere not halfway, you need to try to have time to jump onto wooden platform. After running a little further along it, you will find yourself in a special secret location, where you will see the funny "tomato" knight Sigvard from Katarina sitting on the parapet, who will ask you to help him kill a hefty fire demon. Agree and go to battle. If you win, a lot of useful things will be waiting for you, including a barrel of beer called Sigbrau, which can be taken to a crow and get excellent armor of the Sun for it.

Secret number 5. Phantom walls in Irithyll.

Irithyll has several phantom walls at once and even one parapet, but these are all trifles compared to the main secret wall. After killing Pontiff Sullivan, move forward and turn left. You will see the building right there. Move towards him. Once inside, turn left and hit or roll onto the wall. It will disappear and there you will find a very deep shaft with stairs. At the bottom, two very difficult enemies will be waiting for you. If you can defeat them, but then you can get to Archdeacon McDanell and conclude a contract with Aldrick. This union specializes in defense in Anor Londo.

Secret number 6. Saving Carla.

In the location of the Profaned Capital, you can save the sorceress Karla, who is in the dungeon. If you save her, she will be able to teach you dark magic, as well as improve your pyromancy. First you need to go to the right side of the map, where a gargoyle will fly up to you before entering the tower. Run inside. There will be many spiders in the swamps and a couple of unique and strong enemies. Run across the swamp and up the stone ramp to run up to the stairs at the opposite wall lit by torches. Climb up it and run along the semicircular cornice (there will be an opening on the right, where the hand-hippo will sleep in the room, but you do not need to go there). Climb the stairs to the very top and run into the doorway. Run up the stairs to the very top until you see two nuns with "cauterizers". Turn left and run to the end of the corridor. There you will see a bunch of keys on the floor. Now go back to the Profaned Capital (possible through the return bone).

We go down to the floor and climb the stairs nearby. It is even higher than the one you just descended. Turn right and run across the bridge until you reach the Irithyll Dungeon. There will be some cauterizers, and you need to keep to the left. You run into the corridor, kill the nun, run a little further and see a dungeon grate on the left. You open it, talk to Carla, after which she teleports to the Firelink Shrine. Now you can find it there and learn all sorts of things. If you decide to kill her, you will get a very good full set of light armor.

Secret number 7. Good armor early game.

To get good armor, it is not necessary to complete half the game. You will have several opportunities to do so earlier. For example, if you kill Sigvard's "tomato" from Katarina, you will get his armor. It is very funny and ridiculous, but, nevertheless, very high quality. You can also get excellent armor by killing one of the crabs in the swamps in the Path of the Damned location. Another option is to get not only the Ring of Change, but also a full set of Brass Armor. To do this, you need to climb up, running across the rooftops, coming under fire from several knights who are standing on the ledges and shooting very large and dangerous arrows. You will not pass by them. When you are already running along “their” side, there will be a passage on the right. Turn off (the knights, which is typical, will not follow you, stuck in the passage, so you can use this), but do not run to the left, but jump into the wall on the right, which has some kind of mourning bas-relief. The wall will disappear, and there you can get one of the best heavy armors in the whole game.

Secret number 8. Reset all skills.

You can reset skills in Dark Souls 3, yes. Pretty useful stuff, to be honest. To do this, you need to join the Fingers of Rosalia covenant. The whole thing is located in the Temple of the Deep, not far from the Chapel of Purification. Near the Chapel there will be a small swampy pool, in the corner of which a huge giant will stand, leaning against the wall. Above it, under the very ceiling, there will be a crosshair of beams. You need to go there. Make your way to the beams, but be careful, because there you will be met by very powerful knights, and it is simply impossible to fight them on narrow beams, so jump down to the nearest floor. If you were met by a crowd of worms, then you jumped off correctly. You can get there through the elevator, which is located in the room next to the Chapel. He will take you upstairs, run outside, go left along the parapet, climb the stairs to the roof, run further along the walkways, and now you are already on the beams. After the worms, you will meet a lady who will help you redistribute the characteristics.

Behind Oceiros there will be a hall with a phantom wall. you there

Secret number 9. How to get the right ending.

There are several endings in Dark Souls 3, but only one of them is true and the most correct. To achieve it, you need to get the Eye of the Flame Keeper. To do this, you need to first defeat Oceiros the Consumed King, then run forward into the catacombs, kill one monster with a long neck, and then jump into the phantom wall. It is located just behind the chest at the end of the hall. Falling down will take you to the Abandoned Graves, where you will have to fight Champion Gundyr, but the Eye can be obtained before the battle. It is also located behind the phantom wall. Run to a copy of the Temple of Fire, in which there will be no one, and there will not even be a twisted sword sticking out in the center, and go down. To the right at the end of the corridor will be a smooth, yellowish wall. She is phantom, it is behind her that the Eye of the Keeper of Fire will be.

You can save yourself from "bookish" hands by dipping your head in a pool of wax

Secret number 10. How to escape from the hands in the Grand Archive.

And finally, a completely innocent, but quite useful tip on how to escape from purple, electric hands crawling out of bookshelves in the Grand Archive, where crystal lizards will constantly lure you. In this very archive there will be a hefty pool of wax. If you kill librarians and small, nimble creatures in caps, then you can approach the pool from the side and press the interaction button. The hero will dip his head into the pool, and it will become covered with wax, while the shape of the helmet will be leveled. Such a funny make-up will save you from hands coming out of the shelves, which will actively annoy you throughout the entire length of the Great Archive.

The release of the long-awaited role-playing game Dark Souls 3 has finally taken place, in which players will once again plunge into a dark fantasy world and uncover its ancient secrets. As in the previous parts of the popular series, you will meet mysterious characters and battle dangerous bosses.

We decided to write a detailed walkthrough of Dark Souls 3 for those who, for whatever reason, cannot go through this or that location. It will also be useful for players who do not know what to do next to complete the main story mission. For the convenience of finding the necessary information, the passage is divided into locations.

Cemetery of Ash

Ash Graveyard is the first location in Dark Souls 3. It is intended to show players some of the basic mechanics that they will have to use throughout the passage. You won't be able to level up until you clear this area. Hidden here are a few useful items, and at the end you will face a boss fight named Iudex Gundyr. We will tell you how to go through this location, find all the things and secrets, and defeat the boss.

Useful items:

After the fight with the first enemy, turn right and go back. Ahead you will find the Soul of a Deserted Corpse. When you reach the dead body with Ash Estus Flask, turn left towards the hills. There you will find a crystal lizard that will drop a Titanite Scale. Nearby you can also find a tombstone with the soul of an unknown traveler (Soul of an Unknown Traveler).

After climbing the rock, you will reach the first fire. You should then select the right path and go down. There you will find a fire bomb.

Boss fight Iudex Gundyr

The boss arena is fairly easy to find as there is a large statue right in the middle of it. You need to pull the sword from the statue and wait for the boss to wake up. Gundyr fights with a halberd, so you can easily parry his blows. Dodge direct attacks and then attack him from the side if you don't want to parry.

When he has less than half of his lives left, he will turn into a big monster. Attack him during the transformation - he will not be able to fight back. Stay as far away from Iudex Gundyr's giant arm as the boss can deal massive damage with it.

From his body you can pick up a Coiled Sword, which will be useful to you in the Fireling Shrine. Note that if you need a more detailed boss fight guide, then take a look at the corresponding one.

Firelink Shrine

After defeating Judge Gundir, we open the gate and move on. On the left you will see someone's remains. We advise you to search the corpse - you can find a broken sword in it (sold for a couple of souls). We go further right along the edge of the cliff. At the end we find a bone of return (capable of instantly returning the player to the nearest fire). Now we go upstairs and go into the Temple of Fire.

Many players will call this location their home for the coming days or weeks - it all depends on how quickly you can complete the game. However, at first glance, this temple looks more like a grave than a cozy nest. On the right you will meet a knight named Hawkwood. Chat with him to learn a new gesture. A bonfire will be located in the center (as soon as we light it). Not far from him will be the Keeper of Fire. It is from her that it will be possible to increase your level by distributing experience points according to various parameters. This character will also tell you a sad story about the Lords of Ashes, who used to sit on the thrones here. It will be necessary to find them and take their souls from them. By the way, one of the thrones will be occupied.

On the occupied throne sits a half-decomposed corpse that has no legs. His name is Ludleth of Courland and he is the weakest Lord of Cinder. At the beginning, he will only say a few words to you, but in the future you will be able to talk to him. Plus, Ludleth will be able to exchange the souls of bosses for various items.

A little lower from the main door you can find a corridor leading to two more characters: a maid at the temple, from whom you can buy various useful things, and Andre's forge, which can improve weapons and increase the charges of flasks with Estus, that is, fragments of a flask with Estus should be attributed specifically to him. The blacksmith can also repair your equipment and insert special gems into your weapons. You need to chat with him a couple of times to learn a new gesture.

In terms of plot, the Temple of Fire is no longer remarkable, so if you want to go further, you need to install the Twisted Sword in the center of the room and thereby create a fire. It is the main bonfire in the game and is the only one where you can burn burning bone fragments to increase the levels of the bonfires. Use it to teleport to the High Wall of Lothric.

Those who consider themselves true Plushkins should stay in the Temple and look for interesting items. First of all, you need to climb up the stairs located to the left of the entrance. Next, you will see a path leading directly to a large tower. To get into it, you need to purchase the key to the tower from the Handmaid at the temple for 20 thousand souls. On the left side of the gate, you can find the deserter's soul. When descending, it is worth examining a tree that has a strange shape. It has an interesting message on it. Then we jump over several graves and go down, where there was a corpse with a bone of return. We go back to the entrance to the Temple of Fire and turn right. There will be a body with coal. A little to the left, you can jump onto another path, on which we have to fight with one monster. If you go to the left, then you will find yourself in the place where you jumped down before. Here you will meet two hollows. We pass along the stairs and find the shield West-East (East-West Shield).

If you go even further to the left, you will see a knight in old rags. Although he looks very poor, he is able to easily kill a low-level hero, that is, you. With the help of his weapon, the knight can not only inflict considerable damage on you, but also cause bleeding. It’s worth attacking him after he performs a special move: he gets into a position, as if he is about to get a katana from its sheath, and then makes a dash towards the hero. After this attack, the knight will be vulnerable. We beat him, and then retreat again. We do this several times until the end. From his corpse, you can take Uchigatana and good equipment. Now you can go back and go to the High Wall of Lothric.

Tower

After accumulating 20 thousand souls, it is worth returning to the Firelink Shrine and acquiring the key to the tower. Then we go up to the top floor this facility and exit through the door on the right. We go up the stairs to the door. Open it with the key and climb to the very top. Try not to fall down, otherwise you will definitely die. Go to the tower and go around the hole in the floor. Then, using the elevator, we go up again. There we find the corpse of the old fire keeper. From it you can pick up the soul of the Keeper of Fire. You should then give it to the living Guardian so that she can remove the Dark Mark from you.

We go down and inspect the hole, which we talked about earlier. On one of the walls you can see a coffin - jump right into it. On the opposite side is another coffin with a body. We climb on it and find on the corpse a set of Keepers of Fire (light armor without any features). Now you can jump down to a huge mountain of corpses. Estus Ring can be found here (increases the amount of health points restored by Estus Flask). On the side we find the door. We pass through it and find ourselves at the place where we previously fought with a knight in tatters.

We return to the wide passage leading to the tower. We approach the place where the bridge has already begun to collapse. We examine the lower column and look for a safe place to land. Take a look at the lantern - next to it you can find a ladder, which should be thrown down. You can also try jumping from the other side of the bridge. There you will find a crystal lizard, which should be killed as quickly as possible in order to get Shimmering Titanite. This material is required to upgrade most of the unique armor and weapons in the game.

On the roof you can find a nest. You should approach him and talk to his/her owner. This creature is called Snuggly, and it will gladly trade things with you. You just need to put some item in the nest and see what Snuggly will give you for it.

Next, we jump down to the level under the roof, located directly above the entrance to the temple. Here you can find a body that has 2 return bones. You should look around and find the rafters - with the help of them you can get to the center, and then reach the corpse holding a fragment for the flask with Estus. We carefully examine the beams. Almost all of them except one will be destroyed. We pass along the whole beam to the wall, and then hit it. A path to a secret location will open. We pass to the very end and find ourselves behind the thrones. Next, we jump to the balcony and find the Silver Ring of the Greedy Serpent, which increases the number of souls given for killing enemies. That's it, there are no more useful things in the Fire Temple.

High Wall of Lothric

With the help of a fire in the Temple of Fire, we teleport to the High Wall of Lothric. In a second we will find ourselves in a small room, closed from the inside. We open the nearby door and make our way outside. We go down the stairs, find a fire and kindle a fire in it.

Now we can go along one of the two paths. We advise you to first turn right and go through a hole in the wall. We kill the crossbowman on the scaffolding, and then we prepare to fight below with two relatively strong ghouls and a couple of dogs. Then we go to the right stairs, which leads to the tower. We go down the steps to the turret and find that it is closed, but to the right of the stairs you can find a body from which you should pick up the soul of the abandoned remains.

We go up again and select the second staircase. We climb it and kill the crossbowman, and then we run up to the second enemy and send him to the next world as quickly as possible. Otherwise, he will begin to transform and turn into a light version of Judge Gundir from the second phase. After the battle, we pick up ordinary arrows and a long bow from the body lying near the destroyed stairs. Now we can return to the fire, because now there is nothing interesting for us here.

Once near the fire, we go outside again and choose another path. We go down the stairs and first of all we destroy opponents with lanterns. There will be another flight of stairs leading up. We rise along it and engage in a fight with another enemy with a flashlight. If you climb higher, you can find Binoculars. Next, you need to go down, go behind the back of the dead dragon and jump to the lower platform. Near the entrance we take Golden resin. Again we jump down and fight with another hollow, coveting our damned little soul. After defeating the enemy, we get to the table and take two Firebombs from it.

We go down the stairs and find in the corner the Soul of the abandoned remains. We go further and get into a rather large location with several opponents. First, we lure out one enemy with a shield and kill him without falling under his blows. Then you need to climb the stairs and quickly run back, because at the same moment the dragon will fly in and exhale the flame from its mouth, covering a huge territory with fire. However, it will only benefit us, since all the enemies above will die. We climb up again and run back to a safe place. After the dragon stops breathing fire, we quickly run upstairs, collect things from the corpses and open the door.

Note: if you have enough arrows, you can try to shoot the dragon. When his life bar drops to a certain value, he will leave his place of residence, and you will receive a Large Titanite Shard as a reward.

We go down the stairs and find a treasure chest in the room. However, you don’t need to immediately jump for joy and try to open it, since you have an ordinary Mimic in front of you. It is best to attack him from afar with a bow, and then finish him off in close combat. Beware of his kicks and grabs, which may well take the hero's life. From his body, you can pick up a Battle Ax and Symbol of Greed (drops extremely rarely).

We find in front of the stairs leading up. We rise along it and kill one weak enemy. Next you have to meet with the knight. Defeating him will not be easy, but it is quite possible. We go into the next room and send the enemy jumping out of the boxes to the next world. Turn right and go up the stairs again. There will be a second fire here.

We rest near the fire, find the Titanite Shard in the corner and go down to kill the thief standing behind the boxes and throwing knives. We deal with him and go down again. There you will have to kill another thief sitting behind the barrel. Next, we will meet an enemy with a large halberd. Evades his attacks, and then attack him at the right time. The fastest way to deal with such opponents is by rolling behind them and inflicting a critical hit.

We pass into the next room and run to the enemy standing in front. If you delay, he will throw a bomb at barrels filled with oil. You can even die from this. In one of the corners of the room we find a body that has several metal knives. Around the corner, another dead man is waiting for us. True, he looks towards the wall, and therefore it will be possible to kill him with a half-poke. Next to the iron doors, you should pick up the Panzerbrecher. We move forward and find a closed cell. Keep this location in mind as we'll be back here soon. We go back and climb the attached ladder (we used to go down it earlier). We rest near the fire and continue our journey again.

We climb through a hole in the wall and immediately lean against the right wall, since it is from here that enemies will begin to climb towards us. We kill the first and wait for the second. Then we go down the stairs, step onto the roof and notice a group of the dead. Notice who is in the middle. He should be killed first, otherwise he will turn into a big black monster and it will be more difficult to fight him. We take three Firebombs from his corpse and go to the right corner of the roof. Near the edge we kill the Crystal Lizard, for which we get Flickering Titanite (it can also fall out normally).

We pass down and kill another crossbowman. We meet his brother and also send him to another world. Then we fight with two ordinary ghouls. We go down even lower and again we fight with a couple of hollow ones that have crawled out of the wall. We go back and jump to the roof. We take three Firebombs from the body and go back a little, where there is a path to a small room. Here we encounter the Knight of Lothric, armed with a large shield and halberd. His attacks deal a lot of damage, but they can be easily dodged. As soon as you defeat him, head to the corner of the room, and find a corpse there, from which you can pick up the Soul of Abandoned Remains.

We turn right and right around the corner we kill one hollow. We go forward and deal with the crossbowman standing on the stairs. We approach several barrels and destroy them. From the found body we take the Amulet against the undead. We go further up the stairs and select a Titanite Shard from another corpse. Next, we deal with a couple of enemies and go back to the room where we recently fought the Knight of Lothric. We pass through the main entrance and make a roll right onto the boxes. We retreat a couple of meters back, then we go forward and deal with the enemy around the corner. We destroy all the boxes in the room and select the Broadsword from the body. We head back to the corridor, go down the stairs and get into a location with a couple of dogs and ghouls. We go a little to the right, kill all the enemies and open the chest. In it we find a Shield with a silver eagle. We reach a dead end and fight with one enemy. Now you can return to the stairs that lead straight down.

Next, you should lure the dog onto the stairs and kill it. Now you can safely deal with the dead man holding the Halberd. Then we fight with another dog and send the last enemy to the next world. We find under the stairs, which we went down earlier, several boxes. We destroy them and take a Titanite Shard from the body. We pass to the center of the room and select the Shard from the flask with Estus. Turn left and pick up the Camera Key on the stairs. We go up to the third floor, run forward, then turn left, destroy a couple of objects and get to the second floor. From the chest you can get the Astor Straight Sword. We return to the closed dungeon, located not far from the second fire and talk with the prisoner.

We go back, but we are already on the roof. Then we go down the attached ladder, go through the room where we had to fight with the Knight of Lothric, go into the next room, turn right and get into the street. We deal with one enemy and find Rapier on the corpse. Then we kill another adversary, dressed in heavy armor and fighting with a halberd. We take all the artifacts from the body of the enemy we defeated and move forward.

On the left we will meet another enemy. We kill him and get to the crossbowman, located on the stairs. We climb onto the roof and take the Large Soul of the Abandoned Remains. Next, jump to the next roof and find the Sacrificial Ring. We jump down, and then climb up again using the stairs. We get to an open location. We lure out one enemy, kill him, and then we fight with a whole crowd of ghouls. They are very weak, but they can easily crush them with their numbers. After the massacre of them, we move forward to the elevator and use it. Once upstairs, we open a large iron door and immediately roll forward. On the right we see an enemy wielding an axe. We deal with the hollow and go upstairs again. There we find a couple of dogs, a crossbowman and a ghoul with a halberd. We destroy all evil spirits and rise even higher. As a result, we will again find ourselves near the fire, opening a short path to it.

If necessary, then we rest near the fire, and then we go back. There we have to fight with very strong enemies - several Knights of Lothric. Two knights will walk around the square and another one will hide on the right. We kill the first two, and then deal with the third. The latter, by the way, guards the Lucerne Hammer. Then we go up the left stairs and face another enemy who will be stronger than the knights. The tactics of fighting with him are as follows: we dodge blows, roll behind him and attack at the right time. Be wary of his magic-enhanced weapons. Rough stone can be picked up from his corpse. We pass into the Cathedral and talk with the girl. She will give us the Flag of Lothric. Talk to her again to get the sign of the Blue Guardians.

Note: you can kill the girl to take the above items and the special Chalice from her corpse. You should install it near the statue to summon the boss Dancer from the Cold Valley. However, at this stage, we do not advise you to do this, since according to the plot, the battle with this enemy should take place much later.

We get out of the cathedral and go to the second part of the square. We deal with two shield bearers and a crossbowman, go down the stairs and see a white fog. Here you can use Coal to summon other players. You just need to activate the white inscriptions on the floor. Then we go to the gate, covered with fog. A boss fight will begin.

Cold Valley Vordt boss fight

More detailed description battles with this enemy you can read in our special article. Here we provide only basic information. The boss walks on all fours and looks more like an animal than a person. He will beat us with the help of a huge mace. If you are playing as a mage, then simply stay away from him and attack with spells. It would be nice to summon a phantom that can distract the enemy's attention. Warriors need to roll behind the boss and hit him when he raises his mace to attack. Then watch his movements and look for the right moment to counterattack. The main thing is not to stand directly in front of him - try to be behind him.

After the boss's health bar is reduced to half, the second phase of the battle will begin. Vordt will get an ice aura and start spinning on the floor just like a bun, trying to crush us. From time to time it will stop and exhale ice from its mouth. At this moment, you need to run Vordt behind his back and beat him with two hands.

After defeating him, we take his soul and kindle a fire. Next, you should exit through the door and set the Flag of Lothric on the cliff. We watch a short cut-scene and get into a new location.

Note: Do not use the Boss Soul to get normal souls, as it can be used to create a good weapon.

Undead Settlement

We activate the fire and go to the nearest gate, but we don’t go down, but we pass along the wall and take the Big Soul of the Abandoned Remains. Meanwhile, several dogs will appear from the gate and attack the ghouls. We will only have to kill the dogs, luring them out one by one. We dodge attacks and counterattack. You don't need to go through the gate. We turn left and head to the place where the pilgrims went. We find the destroyed bridge. Near the caravan we deal with two more dogs. We find the body of a dead man and find a beautiful skull in him. We go to the bridge and talk with the Pilgrim. You should invite him to your shelter - the Temple of Fire.

We go back to the gate and face a new enemy - the Worker. In general, he does not pose a threat to the hero, but if gape, he can inflict considerable damage on him. First you need to bounce off him, and therefore immediately attack. Usually a worker dies from two or three blows. We move forward to the structure and deal with two more workers. At the end of the room, hit the hanging corpse and take the Small Leather Shield from it. Now you can go down to the second floor. There we get out onto the balcony and knock down the body. We go around the corner and destroy the worker walking here. Then we take Sand for repair from the body. On the first floor, we deal with another enemy and go outside.

From the discarded body we select the Bone of Lorreta. This item will contribute to the appearance of a new merchant in Firelink Shrine. You just need to give him a bone, and he will agree to sell us things.

Ahead we will see a small group of opponents. We throw a bomb into the barrels, then we go to the next detachment and again we throw the bomb into the barrels. We deal with the remaining enemies and lure the Big Lady out into the open area. Watch out for her attacks and grabs. Constantly dodge her attacks and attack at the right time. Next, take the Estus Shard from the burning tree and the Ember lying right behind it. We return to the blown up barrels and select the Traveler's Soul from the ground. Again we go to the tree and with the help of a bow and arrows we knock it down into a corpse. He will fall and we can pick up Kukri.

We move forward and get to a fork: one path leads to the bridge, and the other to a large structure. It doesn't matter which one you choose, as both roads will lead you to the same place. We go into the building and find a body at the end of the room, and to the right of it a cage with several dead people. We tell you right away that this is a common trap. Therefore, we run to the cage and begin to beat on it, since it is an enemy that we will meet more than once. You should not be afraid of him, because he can inflict great damage only by attacking us stealthily, that is, in a direct collision, this enemy is rather weak. We deal with him and pick up Coal Tar. Then we knock down the hanging corpse and pick up the Soul of the abandoned remains. Near the entrance we find several boxes. We destroy them and see a hole in the floor. Jump down and find Estus Soup and Sun Warriors Covenant Sign. The first item is able to fully restore the health of the hero. He will appear here after each rest near the fire.

We go into the next room and kill another cell. After we try to lure the enemy with red eyes. Near the entrance we deal with two cells, and then we get out. On the right we find garbage and destroy it. We go down the path and pick up the Soul of the abandoned remains. Let's go back. On the way we meet two workers and kill them. We go to the first building and fight there with the Slave and the Worker. We take the Whip from the body. We see the Evangelist ahead. She will stand on the upper level and shoot spells at us. We dodge attacks and turn right. We find the Shard of Titanite and return to the caster. We deal with the worker holding the hammer. Climbing up is not worth it, as it will be too difficult to dodge. We recommend simply arming yourself with long-range weapons and firing at her from afar. After we go upstairs, pick up the Titanite Shard and go down again.

We leave for the house and through it we pass to another location. Being online, we are waiting for the attack of the red phantom under computer control. It will be difficult to defeat him - he swings a giant sword, defends himself with a large shield and uses miracles to heal. It is necessary to inflict swift blows on him, not allowing him to rest. Be sure to attack him when he tries to heal himself. If you can't kill the phantom, then you should run away from it. Next, we go behind the building and deal with the crystal lizard. We jump down and kindle another fire.

Get ready to face a dangerous opponent ahead - the Butcher. His strikes are uninterruptible and deal a lot of damage. In addition, this enemy moves very quickly. It will be easy for mages to deal with him. You just need to keep him away from you and throw spells at him. Warriors will have a harder time. You should dodge the attacks of the Butcher, then wait for the right moment and inflict one or two hits on him. We do this several times and celebrate the victory. You can’t go further, as the location is constantly shelled. We go back to the second fire and pass through the bridge near the ashes. We go to the stable. We kill two workers and take the Large Soul of the abandoned remains from the body. After that, a Slave with a big sword will jump down on us. We deal with him and go to the door. Nearby we find a corpse, from which you should pick up a Round shield with a caduceus.

After leaving the stable, we find garbage on the left. We destroy it and thereby open a new path for ourselves. We fight with the first slave, and then we lure out opponents one by one. First, we destroy the shooter located on the roof on the left side, then we go upstairs and deal with the second shooter. After killing all the ghouls, we go down and pick up all the things that have fallen from them. At the bottom we find the Shield from the boards, and at the top - Incendiary bombs. Next to the shield will also be an adequate character with whom you can chat. Then we go down even lower and face the butcher. We go around it and run into the cage. We watch a short cut-scene, talk with the new NPC and decide whether to join the Marauders covenant.

We use the Bone of Return and again go to the stable. We pass through it and head to the stone bridge. We jump from it to a narrow path. From above, the workers will throw bombs at us. We find a Titanite Shard and deal with two enemies on the path. We go into the house and activate a new fire. We go up the stairs to the second floor. We kill all the workers and talk with the pyromancer in the cage. He can be invited to our shelter. To the left of the cage will be Hatchet. Don't forget to talk to the new character in Firelink Shrine. He will give us the Pyromancer's Flame and teach us a new emotion.

We go down to the Butcher, then we go down even lower along the steps and climb into the structure located on the left. There we deal with the slave and pick up the Big Soul of the abandoned remains from the corpse. We find the path, kill the dog standing on the path, and then deal with another dog sitting in the forest. Coal can be found near the second dog. If you go further, you can face the next boss. However, it's too early for us to go there. First you need to open a fast path to the boss and talk to the ogre. We turn in the opposite direction and run to the cave. We go down into the sewer drain and encounter rats. Alone, they are not dangerous, so they attack the hero in a crowd. We kill all the monsters and find the entrance, hidden by a veil of fog. We pass through it and see a Huge rat. We kill the monster and take the Ring of Bloody Bite from the body. We go up the stairs, get out and find a fire.

We go back to the stone bridge, where the Butchers are. They should be lured out one at a time, since it will not be possible to deal with all at the same time. Next, we go to the destroyed building and deal with the aggressive dog. We take the Beautiful Skull and move forward. Next, we see the tower we need. To her left will be a friendly NPC. We talk with him and go into the tower. Near the elevator we meet with another non-hostile character - Sigvard from Katarina. He wants to know who exactly is throwing spears from the top of the tower, but the knight fails to get up, since the platform can only lower the passenger down. It is necessary to step on the elevator and do a somersault. The platform will go down, and the second will go down to us. Below is the road to a new location, but first we need to finish all the work in the Undead Settlement. At the top we meet Ogre and ask him for help. After talking with him, he will stop shooting at us, attacking only the dead. In addition, you can get a Young White Branch from him. If you kill him, then the Ring of the Hawk will fall from the body.

We find a location where it was impossible to pass due to constant shelling. We lure out the dead and wait until the Ogre finishes them all. Then we collect all things from the corpses and go to the cemetery. From one of the bodies you can pick up Cleric's Set. At the foot of the tree, you can find Undertaker's Ashes, which should be given to the Handmaid in Firelink Shrine. After that, its range will expand significantly.

Not far from the shelled location is a building. We go into it and kill the enemy with red eyes. We go up and jump to a small ledge. There you can pick up a Big scythe. Again we climb the stairs and move forward. We pass into the next room and get to the fork: the right path leads to the tower, and the left path leads to the boss.

Optional action: you can return to the Firelink Shrine, give the Ashes to the Handmaid and purchase the key from her. We return to the sewer filled with rats, and open the door located on the right. We go down the stairs, take the Halberd and find the altar ahead. Near it, it is allowed to atone for sins for the killing of friendly characters. We move forward, deal with the skeletons and pick up all the things on the ground. We go outside and destroy the worker. There we also find a crystal lizard, from which titanite falls. Then we drop the body down and take the Red-White Shield from it. We go down to the room on the right and deal with all the rats. We find the Talisman of the saint, go up the stairs and talk with Irina from Karim. During a conversation with her, we agree with her opinion and ask to go to the Fire Temple. We get out of the location and again find ourselves near the tower. We talk with a new NPC equipped in heavy armor. He can now help us in the boss fight.

We go to the tower. We go into it and take the elevator up, but before reaching the end, we jump to the boardwalk. There, Sigvard from Katarina will be waiting for us, who wants to send a fiery demon to Hell, but he cannot defeat the beast alone. We agree to help the knight and go down. In the settlement we meet the monster we need. The enemy is very strong - he is able to inflict considerable damage with his ax. In addition, it can exhale fire from its mouth from time to time. We need to dodge his attacks and dodge to the side when he tries to jump on us. We are waiting for the demon to start beating Sigvard, we approach him from behind and inflict several blows. For killing him, they give out a Fire Stone and an additional emote.

We take the Bone of Return from the body and approach the fire. There you need to take a small quest. We go out to the roof, shoot the bodies and pick up the Northern Armor Set from them. We go to the building, located to the right of the fire, we find Pills from red bugs and climb the stairs to the next floor. Upstairs you can see two cages with bodies, two of which will turn out to be monsters. We shoot at them from a bow or crossbow, and then we take a beautiful skull from the corpse. We move into the second room, deal with another cage and two dogs. We open the chest and dodge the cells that will jump down on us from above. We deal with opponents and move on. Ahead we will meet two Evangelists. You should lure them one by one and kill them.

We climb onto the roof and find Flynn's Ring. We jump to the next tower, then we go down and pick up the Armor from Mirra. We destroy the nearby boxes and find a rather useful little thing - the Ring with a green color. Now we go down and find ourselves near the passage leading to the boss.

Curse-Rotted Greatwood boss fight

A more complete version of the boss fight can be read in our dedicated article. Here we will describe only the basic tactics. The first step is to run up to a giant tree and start pounding on its growths of white light. Ordinary enemies will interfere with us. You can ignore them, as the boss himself will deal with them. After destroying the growths, the Great Tree will destroy the ground under it, and we will fall into the pit with it.

A huge hand will appear from the tree trunk, which will begin to beat us hard. New growths will appear on its processes and branches. It is necessary to attack them again at the right moments. To do this, you should run around the tree, dodging the blows of his hand. When the boss starts to rise, you need to run away from him to a safe distance and wait for the yellow spots to disappear. Then you need to go behind him and destroy all the growths. We repeat this process several times, and then we celebrate the victory. We take a unique soul and a Transposition Furnace from the boss. The last item should be taken to Ludleth of Courland, sitting in the Firelink Temple. With it, he will be able to turn the souls of bosses into unique weapons or shields.

We go back to the tower, go down to the lower floor and face a new enemy - Escort Knight. He is a lighter version of the Worth from Cold Valley. The tactics of fighting with him are the same: you just need to stay behind the enemy and attack him at safe times. From his blows, you can hide behind wide beams. Having defeated the knight, we take the Irithyll sword from his body, get out through the gate and get into a new location.

Road of Sacrifices

This is a very dangerous place, so you need to be very careful and not underestimate your opponents. We activate the first fire and move forward along the narrow path. We face a new enemy - Corvian. From the outside, he looks like an ordinary dead man, but as soon as we get close to him, he will start yelling, and large wings will appear on his back. It will be difficult to kill him in this form, so killing a Corvian is worth afar. In close combat, we go behind him and attack. You can also try to throw the Korvian off the cliff - we lure the monsters to the edge, wait for the attack and move away.

We go up, jump from the ledge, killing the enemy right in the jump, turn left and take the Stone of Loss. Ahead we meet immediately 2 Corvians. To the left of them will be a Shaman, able to make a loud cry and wake up all the enemies at once. It can also release poisonous gas. First of all, we take the Traveler's Soul near the carriage, and then we attack the Shaman. Only after that you can deal with ordinary enemies. We return to the place where the shaman was, jump down, go up to the bridge and destroy the Korvian. We find the Titanite Shard, climb under the bridge, go around the corner and try to lure out the half-naked girl. When lunging, it will linger for a few seconds. At this point, you need to attack her. Having defeated the girl, we take the Butcher's Knife from her body.

We go down the path and find the Rogue's set. We go back to the bridge and again lure the enemies one at a time, and then deal with the shaman. If you wish, you can not fight this crowd, but run forward to the fire. After the destruction of all opponents, we jump down, deal with the dogs and find the Sacred Tome from Karim in the cave. We climb onto the bridge and move towards the fire. We talk with Horace and Henri from Astora. As a result, we become the owner of the item necessary for joining the Blue Guardians covenant.

After passing the fire, we find ourselves in an even darker place. In the swamp, the movement speed will be lower and the hero will not be able to effectively dodge attacks. In addition, local waters will gradually poison the character. Here we will meet many new opponents. The first of them will be a dead man with a large branch, which he uses as a spear. Dealing with this enemy will be easy. You just need to go behind him and inflict one critical hit. We go down and lure the dead one by one. Now we turn right, deal with the dog and one Hollow. We take the Titanite Shard from the body.

We go back upstairs, jump down to the ledge and find the Traveler's Soul. We go down even lower. First, we deal with black insects spraying poison. On the right will be a Vurdulak with a cross on his back and red eyes. This monster runs extremely fast and inflicts several blows at once, and then retreats. He can also try to grab the hero to tear him apart with his teeth. We do not stand too close to him, we make several attacks and immediately retreat. We kill the enemy and move forward. There we will expect another ghoul. We send it to the other world and go into the building. On the right we find a closed door, and on the left we encounter the Black Knight. This is an extremely dangerous enemy, wielding a two-handed sword. During his powerful attacks, he will briefly open. Then it is worth attacking him in the back. After defeating him, turn right and pick up the Mercenary set. We jump down and find the Scimitars of the mercenary. At the cul-de-sac ahead lies the Coal of Faronne. It is worth giving the find to the blacksmith sitting in the Temple of Fire.

You need to return to the swamp and explore the left bank. We make our way to the crowd of the dead and insects. We deal with all opponents and take a Titanite Shard. We go down to the trees and find the Shield with two dragons. We pick up the Fading Soul near the rock and kill the dog. We go upstairs and activate the next fire.

We jump down and meet face to face with a giant crab. We are trying to lure him to the ruins. We climb onto the pillar and attack the crab in the jump. We kill the crab and deal with small crabs. We take Green Grass from the corpse. We leave for the flooded ruins and face the ghoul. We pick up the Ring of the Sage and the set of the Enchanter's Equipment there. We get out and on the left we find a ladder that leads to the upper level of the ruins. There we have to fight the boss. However, there are still unexplored places in the location.

We get to the central part of the swamp and pick up the Armor of the Fallen Knight. Behind the tree on the right, we find the Grass Shield. When walking in human form, we are preparing for the battle with the red phantom Hazel Yellow Finger. From his corpse we select Jeremiah's Crown and Hazel's Ice Pick. Near the rock we find the Sacred Tome from Karim. Next to the wall is the Book of Pyromancy of the Great Swamp (should be given to the pyromancer in the Temple) and the Witch Doctor's Set.

Next, we go to the ruins, deal with the Crystal Lizard, go up the stairs and destroy the magician with the spearman. We jump down and find two items: the Falcon Shield and the Ring of Sacrifice. We go back to the stairs and pass into another room. At the end of the path we see two sorcerers who will be surrounded by ordinary enemies. We kill everyone and go forward to the arena with the boss. In human form, we can call on Aegon (if Irina was saved).

Crystal Sage boss fight

For more information on the boss fight, see our separate article. Here we will describe only the basic tactics. A connoisseur of crystal spells will attack us with magic, so it will be useful to put on equipment that has high resistance to magic attacks. We run to the enemy, dodge his blows, and then inflict maximum blows. He teleports. We run to him again and repeat this process until he has half his health left.

The connoisseur will begin to create assistants for himself. It's best to ignore them and only attack the boss. He has low resistance to physical damage, so he should die quickly. After defeating him, we take the Soul of a connoisseur of crystal magic from the corpse.

Temple of the Deep

We move upstairs, incinerate two butchers and deal with one evangelist below. We jump down to where the butchers were, kill the crystal lizard and take the Herald's set. We go forward and reach the fire. To the left of him will be a knight. We deal with the enemy and pick up the Ashes of the paladin and the Shard of Titanite from the body. We give the first item to the merchant located in the Temple of Fire. We look to the right from the side of the stairs and go forward. We find the Heraldic shield, and then we return back to the gate.

Near the gate we encounter another enemy. The tactics of combat with him are the same as with an ordinary knight. From the corpse of the enemy we select the Spider shield and go through the gate. Next, we try to lure the Bone Dogs one at a time, and then we deal with the crossbowmen. Near the wall we select the Big soul of an unknown traveler. We move forward, we go into the Cathedral and activate the fire. There will be two closed doors next to it. They are slices and will be opened by us as we progress through Dark Souls 3.

We get out of the cathedral and deal with the dead. From the body we take the Fragment of the Flask with Estus. We go further and get to the cemetery. Although the enemies here are weak, they are constantly being restored, so you should just run through the graves, not paying the slightest attention to the enemies. We turn right and find a corpse with the sword Astora Greatsword.

We go further and jump into the ditch. There we find the two-handed sword of the executioner. After that, the dead will start to crawl out of the ground. We turn back and immediately run to the bridge. Here we meet even more difficult enemies. We do not get involved in a fight with them, but simply run around and go forward to the square. If you managed to negotiate with the Ogre on the tower, then he will shoot at the enemies in this area. We go to the open space and select all the objects of the earth. We go up the stairs and find the Shield of the Pursuer in the coffin. We go down and throw off a new ladder. Here, monsters with larvae that are vulnerable to fire roam everywhere. We use fire spells or a regular torch to defeat the monsters. Turn right and find the Titanite Shard. Below we deal with another lizard, and at the top we select a Titanite Shard. We move forward along the structure, send another lizard to the next world and pick up the Titanite Shard behind the tree. We go down, deal with another dead man and find the Ringing Vine. Climb the stairs, turn right and go through the window. We were able to open a fast path to the fire.

Now we run out of the temple, we reach the altar, and then we jump down. After we climb the stairs to the upper level. We go to the big gates, which are locked. We turn right and find the arrow. We lure him out and watch him fall. We find two pyromancers and kill them. We turn left, go to the roof, deal with the thieves and go down. There we destroy the crossbowmen and find the body. We approach him, and then we repel the attack of two slaves and the evangelist.

We return to the place where the three crossbowmen were and go down. We deal with the enemy, wielding a halberd, destroy all the slaves in the room and go upstairs. Lure enemies and kill them one by one. We open the gates to the Temple. We move forward along the corridor, deal with the mucus and go down to the next room. We face the Deacons, go further and find the elevator. This is another quick way to the campfire. We use it to go up and open the passage to the save point.

We leave for the next room and get into the area with the giant. We move forward, not being distracted by enemies, and we reach the crossbowman. We turn right, then we run to the left and we find the spell Find directions. We turn 90 degrees and go up the stairs. We deal with the evangelist and find Coal. We go down and do not turn anywhere. We find a room with a chest. We attack the chest, since it is actually a Mimic. The monster's corpse will drop an Abyssal Sacred Tome.

We go back and approach the second giant. On the right we find a small area. We pass to it and activate the lever. In the main hall there was the same lever that raised the gate through which we have to go a little later. We enter the battle with the second giant. First of all, we destroy all the slugs, and then we run under the feet of the enemy and inflict maximum blows on him. We take the Large soul of an unknown traveler, Dorran's set and Pale tongue and go up the stairs. Having reached the altar, we deal with two magicians and one knight wielding a two-handed sword. Behind the benches lies Coal. We go around the altar and go down to the boss. However, before meeting with the boss, you can explore the secret location.

Rosaria's Fingers Covenant and stat point redistribution

We get to the previous fire, turn left and go up the elevator. We deal with the shooter, approach the ledge and turn left again. We reach the stairs, climb the stairs and destroy the magician. We jump down, send slaves and the enemy, who skillfully wields an ax, to the next world. We go forward and kill Hollow with a halberd. If you go right and go downstairs, you can find the Crossbow. We move forward to the very end and find the Pale Tongue.

We return to the fork and turn right. We fall into a narrow passage. We are trying to lure the Knights of the Temple and wait until they fall into the pit. There will also be a couple of slaves here. We go forward, where the crossbowman used to stand, and jump down. The Larvae will immediately jump on us. We deal with them with the help of a torch. At the end of the path we find a neutral Larva. Kill her and pick up the Red Chalk. We go in the right door and activate the fire. We pass a little further and find the Rosary. We talk with her and join the Rosary's Fingers covenant. The girl will be able to redistribute the characteristics, and change her appearance.

Now we go back to the altar and reach the passage covered with white fog. We go inside and face the local boss.

Deacons of The Deep boss fight

A detailed description of the battle can be read in our separate article. Here we will indicate only the basic tactics. The battle will not take place with a specific enemy, but with a whole crowd of deacons. It is not necessary to destroy all of them, as they will constantly resurrect. At the first stage, it is worth killing only those deacons who have been infused with a red essence.

When the boss's health scale drops to 50 percent, the Archbishop will appear on the scene with his henchmen. They will heal him and fire dark spells at us. First we kill the assistants, and then we deal with the Archbishop. From the corpse of the enemy we select the Soul of the deacons from the depths and the Small doll.

Farron Keep

Teleport to the second bonfire located in the Path of Sacrifices location. Then we go to its center. Near the passage we see two guards: one with a large two-handed sword, and the second with a hammer. We lure them out and kill them one by one. From the bodies we select the Two-Handed Sword of the Exile and the Huge Club. Once in the Farron Citadel, we find the Bone of Return and go down the stairs to the fire.

We move forward and face two Slugs. These opponents are weak on their own, but can poison the main character. In addition, most of the floor will be covered with poisonous slime, slowing down the character's movements. We light, as quickly as possible, three flames and open the door leading to the Blood of the Wolf.

We turn left and go around the corner. There we find a Lump of Purple Moss. If you go a little further, you can find the Iron Flesh spell. Then we go around marshy places on a small hill. On the way, we find a Titanite Shard. We leave for the broken bridge and select the Shard from the Estus Flask to the right of it.

Now we go to the left island and find the Rainbow Stone there. After we look for a fire. To do this, we get to the road located near the destroyed tower and leading to the right. We move forward along it and deal with the spearman. There will be a small building on the right. We approach him and light a flame on him. We go down and turn right. Near the turret we deal with the dark spirit and select the Connoisseur's Coal. Going forward, we find the second structure on which you need to light a fire. We go to the bridge, send two spearmen to the next world and activate the fire.

You need to go down and turn left. We go into the forest and deal with the crab. Then we find a Titanite Shard near the tree. We approach the wall, which was guarded by a crab, and take away all the things lying there. We move along the wall and destroy several spearmen. We find them the Scroll of the connoisseur. We go around the rock and see a bridge leading to the fire we found earlier. We get to the tower, located on the side of the bridge. In it, we shred all the slugs into cabbage and take the Burning Bone Shard. We go along the wall to the stairs. We do not go up, but we reach the island on which the Amulet of the Sun and Estus Soup are located. We run to the neighboring island and pick up the Titanite Shard. We go to the next island and find Set of the nameless knight. Now you can climb up and light the third fire, killing the shaman in the process. After that, the doors leading to the location with the boss will open. However, we are not in a hurry to go there, as we have unfinished business.

We destroy the tombstones and go down to the swamp. We face the Basilisks, and then move forward to the very end. We see the entrance to the cave on the right. We go into it and select a set of the Maiden's Robe and the Golden Scroll. We go back to the stairs. We go upstairs, go out onto the balcony and deal with the crystal lizard. We beat on the right wall, thereby opening the passage to the secret area. We pick up the Dreamer's Ashes and jump down. We activate the fire and talk with the old wolf of Farron. He will offer us to join the Farron Watchdogs covenant. We go into the elevator and go up. On the left we see the Lost Demon, but before going to him, we turn right. We jump down, get into the territory behind the gate and kill two crystal lizards. From the bodies we select the Dragon Heraldry Shield and the Thunder Spear. We rise, cracking down on all the dead on our way, jump onto the platform and engage in a fight with the demon.

This mini-boss will immediately begin to do a big swing as soon as you get too close to him. Therefore, we do a somersault to be behind the back or near the opponent's stomach. We beat him several times, and then we bounce to the side. We repeat this procedure until the end. Beware of his tail and the stones he will throw at you from time to time. Sometimes a stray demon will capture and throw the hero, causing him considerable damage.

After killing the demon, we go to the main boss of the location. We go to the opened doors and go upstairs. There we deal with the shaman, and then we go down. We move forward and see how the dark spirits are fighting with the guards. We approach the tree and take Coal. We go to the top of the slope and find the Black Beetle Pill. We return to the road and go in the opposite direction, and then turn right into the stone room. We activate the fire, deal with the spearmen and kill the Giant Crystal Lizard. We open the passage to the location Path of victims and go back to the road. We reach the end of the path, get to the passage covered with white fog, and get into the location with the boss.

Abyss Watchers boss fight

You can read the full tactics of the battle with this boss in our separate article, but here we will only indicate the main points of the battle with him. At the first stage, you should not have any difficulties, since you will have to fight with one not very strong Guardian. After a while, a second enemy will appear, followed by a third. True, the latter will begin to attack not only the hero, but also the other two Guardians. Therefore, you can just run to the side and watch how he deals with the boss. When everyone dies, a cut-scene will start, and after it, the second phase will begin.

One enemy will appear, but a very strong one. He wields a large fiery sword, so it is worth taking a shield with high protection against physical and fire damage. The easiest way to deal with him is to use the following tactics: move away from the boss, wait for him to lunge, dodge the blow, and then start hitting him. After that, we retreat again and repeat the process to the bitter end. From the corpse of the boss we select Soul of wolf blood and Ashes of the lord.

We activate the fire that has appeared, go to the wall and watch how it drives off to the side. This will open the passage to the next location.

Dark Souls 3 is in the full sense of the word "hard". Although it greets you rather gently (well, relatively), its complexity will increase exponentially, and the linear world will turn into an intricate twisting maze. Where to go? What to do? Where can I find a standing sword? What kind of unknown crap just killed you? How to get that "glitter" that has been taunting you for an hour, while you keep falling and falling off the rocks and getting caught by the monsters in an attempt to seize upon it?

Whether you're a newbie looking for answers to all of these questions before shutting down this game and crying in horror at a total injustice, or a time-tested veteran who just wants to make sure you don't miss anything, this guide should help you. .

If you are new to the Dark Souls series and are already familiar with the desire to break your controller from the first minute you enter this world, then you are not mistaken in choosing a game. Dark Souls 3 is the most compelling game of all, second only to Bloodborne. The battles here are much more difficult than in previous games, and will give you many unforgettable ways to die. It is also more linear than its predecessors, and you will get access to new equipment, weapons and characters in due time, having time until this moment to properly feel your insignificance and meaninglessness of being.

Since this is your first time, you will most likely need to get used to the mechanics of the DS. And who knows, suddenly you will be able to find that magic button, by light pressing of which the whole game goes through (no). To learn all the combinations of strikes, dodges, blocks and jumps is sometimes beyond the power of even experienced players.

But it's good that you came here, where we will help you solve your problems! These tips will not give you a magic key to victory over everyone and everything, but they will make your life much easier. Some of them apply only to Dark Souls 3, others form the basis of the series.

And don't worry, there won't be any spoilers here. Therefore, it is better to read them before character creation, later you will be grateful to us.

Start as a Knight

There are no traditional RPG classes in Dark Souls 3. There are no "tanks" and "dd" here. Instead of this elementary grades have various options for a limited set of characteristics, each of which can be downloaded as you like throughout the game. That is, you can easily take a mobile thief with a small knife, then pump magic to him and hand him a heavy shield in the process of passing. Classes are only needed here to determine the preferred play style.

Start with the Knight - great way break into the game and show her what you are worth (really be prepared for what she will show in return). He is equipped with a good sword and a decent shield (better than other classes) that will serve you well for the first ten hours. In addition, the Knight has a lot of points in Strength and Vitality, which means impressive damage from the very beginning and the ability to land more hits before the message “YOU DIED” is displayed on the screen.

You will also have a high Physical Power indicator, which determines the maximum weight of your equipment and indirectly affects physical and elemental defense.

Simply put, this is a well-balanced class with perhaps the best starting armor and weapons. It will not be too difficult for you to start your adventure with it, plus it gives you the opportunity to use the classic Dark Souls sword and the style of play that most prefer.

Life force first

After defeating enemies, you get souls - the only currency in the game. They can be used to buy items, upgrade gear, and level up. At the first opportunity to pump your level, add points to the Vitality parameter to increase the amount of HP you have.

Early in the game, a large supply of hit points is much more valuable than high Strength and other stats. The advantage of sustaining more damage, especially for beginners, is priceless.

Get your Vitality up to 17 or 18 before worrying about other elements of your build. Later, you can invest in Strength or Dexterity.

Rolling is the key to health

You need to roll as often as possible to avoid enemy attacks. Many of the shields found do not absorb 100% damage (especially when it comes to magic, fire, poison, etc.), as a result of which you will take damage to your health even if you successfully block. And if you use a two-hander or a weapon in each hand at all, you have no shield - no protection.

Roll as soon as the opponents have aimed at you, when you cannot or do not want to run away from them.

Rolling uses the same green stamina bar that is needed to hit or block. Always make sure you have enough.

Increasing the Fortitude parameter allows you to increase stamina, but the ability to save it and spend it wisely is almost the very essence of the game.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes with the build

This is familiar to many players. You invest too many points in a stat, believing that it will benefit you later, and then you realize that all these souls should have been spent on pumping a completely different stat.

Don't worry, around the middle of the game you will meet an NPC who will allow you to redistribute all the stat points. This can be done several times. We will not spoil the raspberries and will not tell you where and who to look for, but you can look further for clues ...

Don't get overwhelmed

While you are just putting together your build, try to keep the total load at no more than 70%. You can check the current load level on the equipment screen. Even 0.5% matters, so don't ignore it.

The difference is whether you do fast rolls or slow rolls. That is, when you roll away from enemies, will your movements be light and fluid or cumbersome and incredibly slow. The latter also have their advantage in the form of so-called "frames" - a few milliseconds of invulnerability during the animation of a long roll.

If you've played any of the Souls games for more than five minutes, you'll understand why rolling is a key aspect of the game. But if you are going to make a character with a big shield and heavy armor that absorb a significant amount of damage, you don't have to worry too much about it.

However, in any case, in order to be able to escape from the hot spot at any appropriate moment, do not load more than 70%.

Don't Rush With Covenants

Covenants in Dark Souls 3 are sort of like factions. You join one of them, do as you're told, earn the reputation of that covenant, and ultimately be rewarded for faithfully serving their cause.

In some of them, this process is quite simple. But most covenants are difficult to progress and many are PvP oriented, requiring you to invade other players' worlds or defend them from invaders.

You join a covenant by wearing the appropriate special item. They can be found by chance - as loot in the process of passing, communicating with some NPCs, passing quest lines or simply finding recruiters.

Remember that you can safely ignore any covenants, as joining them can permanently change your game, block some NPC quests, and the like.

If you join one of them without knowing what you've gotten yourself into, you may suddenly find yourself in a foreign world or other (not always friendly) players in your own.

Without expecting this to happen, you will be very confused and disoriented, which will greatly complicate the situation.

Check chests and walls

Know that there are a lot of Mimics waiting for you in Dark Souls 3. These are monsters that look like chests, and as soon as you lower your guard and lower your shield, about to take your rightful prey from such a "chest", they grab you and finish you off in a matter of moments.

Always, in all Souls games, under any circumstances, hit the chest once before opening it! If it's a Mimic, you'll already deal damage to it with your kick before it gets up and tries to attack you. If not, then you have nothing to lose. Also, never approach chests unless you have cleared the room or area in close proximity around them, because you are unlikely to like it when a whole crowd of enemies will kill you with impunity while the chest opening animation is going on, and even if it also turns out to be a mimic ...

As for the illusory walls, all you have to do with them is hit the ones you think might be hiding something once, and they will disappear, allowing you to plunder everything that is behind them, or open a cut.

If you're playing online, messages from other players on the ground will help you identify both Mimics and Illusory Walls, but don't trust them implicitly, as some of them might just troll you.

Don't fight the boss with a lot of souls

The games in the Dark Souls series are mostly games about battling unique, memorable bosses that will earn you tons of souls if you win. But also these souls in case of defeat, they can take away from you. A good way to check the available "cash" is to look at the equipment screen. He will tell you how many souls you have now and how many more you need to level up.

If this amount is enough for leveling up or even two, it is better to return to the Firelink Shrine and spend the souls to good use.

Do not go to the arena with the boss or to a new location without being freed from this burden, because you will agree that it is not pleasant to lose all your fortune and then not know how to return it. This precaution will greatly simplify your life and allow you to focus on enjoying the game, and not shake for the accumulated souls at every turn.

Don't be afraid to die

You will experience great disappointment, being killed in an attempt to return the lost souls to the place where you died last time. Sometimes you rush to pick them up and forget about caution and patience in battle, and then die again and lose your souls forever.

Although we recommended spending souls on leveling or equipment as carefully as possible, losing them is just an inevitable part of the game, deal with it. You cannot avoid it, just as you cannot avoid death itself, there is even caution - your middle name.

The trick is to not give yourself the opportunity to regret it. Did you die halfway through the location, barely having time to reach the fire? It's okay, the second run will be easier, because you will already know where and what kind of enemies you will meet.

You are dying to avoid repeating the same mistakes. This is how the game teaches you. Even the best players learn boss tactics after only a couple of attempts, not the first time before defeating them. Death is not a problem, so stop being afraid of it.

When you're constantly failing after failure and unable to make any progress, look for white or gold blurry signs on the ground to summon friendly phantoms to call upon for help. Or just turn off the game and try again tomorrow, then everything will work out!

Let's talk about what is common and how the third part of the DS differs from all the others that you might already be familiar with. If you are new to this world, most of the following will not make much sense to you.

However, if you've played all the games from Demon's Souls to Bloodborne, or at least one of them, you will recognize the important nuances of the third part, as well as what it has in common with other parts of Souls.

While the core mechanics of them almost always remain the same, each of them has many small changes and innovations that mean a lot to seasoned players and can fundamentally change the way the game is played.

Next Tips can be used by anyone, but are intended primarily for veterans of the Souls series. They will save you a lot of time trying to understand how this or that mechanic works in the third part of the DS.

Minor spoilers are possible.

Skills

You've probably already heard about special weapon moves - the so-called Skills (Weapon Arts), the most significant innovation in Dark Souls 3. Simply put, they allow players who do not use magic to use the blue bar of concentration points (OC) to perform unique attacks, different for each weapon. These techniques are very strong and practically cannot be interrupted.

However, many players go through Dark Souls 3 using this system at most a couple of times when they encounter especially tough opponents or a particularly “invincible” boss.

This does not mean that Skills are useless. They are actually pretty good at staggering enemies early in the game. It's also a good way to create your own combos that start with a special move and continue with a heavy or normal attack.

If you are using a sword + shield set, using the special sword skill may require you to use it in two hands. That is, you will have to switch back to the shield as soon as the OK bar is exhausted, and it is quite short.

Some shields also allow you to use weapon skills when equipped, but in any case, you will have to constantly switch to a two-handed grip and back.

If you are not interested in this or you can’t have time to react and change your grip in time in the midst of a battle, you can simply ignore these techniques and not fill your head with them.

It should also be noted that Skills are tied to weapons, not character classes. This implies that you can choose them to your liking by simply equipping the weapon you want.

Estus flask - your everything

There are no more Life Gems from Dark Souls 2 or different herbs from Demon's Souls. Estus is pretty much the only way in the game to restore your health. You will find some single-use items to restore HP later (for example, Heavenly Blessing), but they are few and will take a very long time to get to.

However, if you don't use much of your OK bar (assuming you ignore Skills and don't use magic), you can use it to cast healing miracles. By default, most classes start the game with one Spell Scholarship slot, and all you have to do is increase your Faith to the required level to cast a miracle.

Once you've done that, equip any talisman with a low Faith requirement and use the free healing to your heart's content. In fact, this will be the equivalent of healing stones. The miracle cure process is comparatively slower than estus, but it's better than nothing.

It's especially useful early on, until you find Estus Shards or Burning Bone Shards to increase the number and effectiveness of your flasks.

It will be even better if you redistribute all available flasks with estus (including ashen ones - for restoring OK) into restoring HP. The blacksmith will do this for you for free at the very beginning of the game. Good to know before going to fight the boss.

Emptying system

If you played the second part of the DS, then you must remember how with each death your health bar lost a decent piece that could only be restored by becoming a person.

However, Dark Souls 3 is a bit different from its predecessor. The emptying system here has two various forms. The first and simplest is called the power of the flame. You start the game without this ability.

If you want to restore your health to full value, use Coal or kill the boss (in your own or someone else's world). The amount of Embers that you find throughout the game - just like the Humanities or Human figures in the previous installments - is not very large, and although you can buy it from some NPCs, it is still a very limited resource.

You will notice red fiery reflections around your character when using the power of the flame. It gives you an increased health bar.

The second form of havoc has multiple levels, up to a maximum of 99, and can be tracked on the character's status screen. It starts from zero and gets higher the more you die. But you can use this devastation only by talking with a certain NPC and accepting its conditions.

One of its features, which you will discover a little later, is the change in the appearance of your character in the form of a Hollow and the ability to use an empty weapon. Also during the game you will find consumable to temporarily reset havoc levels. Or you can remove the Dark Mark itself from the Keeper of Fire after bringing her a certain item.

The healing process can be quite costly and eliminates one of the possible endings you could get by being devastated. Not to mention interrupting the entire quest line.

Read more about this in the section "The Dark Mark and Devastation - what it is and what to eat with."

"Backsteps" are back

Of course, critical hits never disappeared. You could always deal more damage when attacking an enemy in the back with the appropriate animation.

The difference between Dark Souls 3 and other parts is that the window between enemy attacks for backstepping and the opportunities for backstepping are easier to identify and use. It's almost like Demon's Souls. Nearly.

Critical attacks can be carried out until the last stages of the game, where the window will become shorter, and there is a chance of not being able to make it in time.

In the beginning, feel free to rely on backsteps, at least to save on the use of estus. With a relatively low risk, you will have enough attempts to learn it.

Some classes, such as the Thief, have superiority in critical hits in the back, but they simply need it.

Estus can be drunk on the go

Dark Souls 3 goes beyond its predecessors by allowing you to run while trying to replenish your rapidly declining health with a flask of Estus.

When in the past parts you had to freeze in place for this purpose, you must have learned ironically from your own deaths that there can be only one second and two centimeters of difference between the boss’s blow that finishes you and the retreat to a safe place.

It's amazing how small changes like this can make such a big difference in the course of an entire battle.

Adaptability from DS 2 is gone

One of the things that a lot of players hated about Part 2 was the need to put level points into Adaptability in order to have decent damage, balance up, and drink estus faster.

By the very presence given parameter Dark Souls 2 put you at a huge disadvantage, and no one liked that. Instead, Dark Souls 3 has only the stats you'd expect from a Souls game, without any of the weird and ambiguous stats.

Your initial parameters still depend on the class you choose, but they are completely unambiguous and clear.

Armor cannot be upgraded

Unfortunately, Dark Souls 3 does not allow you to modify armor in any way. You can still do this for your weapons or shields, but not for equipment.

This fact gives great importance to the selection and combination of armor elements in order to maximize the effectiveness of the armor. However, everything depends on what is available in the game. great amount most different types equipment, but each has different characteristics in terms of absorbing one or another type of damage. Simply put, there is no one-size-fits-all build, and you'll likely need to carry multiple "all-purpose" sets with you at the same time, as one has higher fire resistance and the other has bleed resistance.

In past parts, it was popular to wear a complete set of a set, even if one part of it was slightly inferior to the same part from another set, because it could be upgraded and all the characteristics of the item you liked could be significantly increased. But now fashion is giving way to practicality and survival. Although who knows, maybe in a light rag robe and with a heavy helmet on your head you will become a new trendsetter?

Stat redistribution

The game has an NPC that will allow you to redistribute all of your characteristics. SPOILER about the covenant, the NPC and the required item.

To this end, you need to go to Rosaria, the mother of rebirth, in the Temple of the Deep. Join her covenant to make it happen, and don't worry - you can always easily switch between covenants without losing your progress.

Once accepted, offer her the Pale Tongue that you find in your travels (or by doing certain actions). You can change the characteristics up to five times.

Illusory walls and facial expressions

Illusory walls are optical illusions that look like walls but aren't really. Most often, these are hidden doorways, which are quite numerous in Dark Souls. There are almost as many of them in the third part as in the previous one, and sometimes they hide something more valuable than just treasures.

Often, an illusory wall is all that stands between you and one of the game's secret areas. When you have cleared the location of all enemies, climbed everywhere you could climb, and still see prey that you can’t reach in any way - most likely an illusory wall is hiding somewhere nearby.

And in the same way, you can meet mimics in almost any location. In fact, there are even more of them than real chests, so always hit them once before rushing to open them as a preventive measure.

And yes, remember that it's best to approach chests when all the enemies around you are dead. Mimics are not a joke at all.

Crystal Lizards

It wouldn't be Dark Soul without those little mischief-makers who ruin your day by luring you into the most unexpected traps and leaving you with nothing in the end. Luckily, it's pretty easy to kill them this time.

A good kick or slash will flip them over on their backs, giving you plenty of time to finish your job. Also, they stay in the world longer before disappearing to the ends, as in the previous parts. So you can not rush much, but do not linger for a long time.

Very rarely you will encounter several lizards in one place, so that you have to reload the fire and catch them all in turn. But even in this case, you will have a chance to kill them all in one sitting.

Weapon Durability

Weapon breakage was introduced in Dark Souls 2 and most players hated it. And if you played this game on PC, you had it even worse. A solid 60 fps on PC caused weapons to degrade much faster than on consoles.

Weapon durability is still an important factor in Dark Souls 3, but it doesn't make players suffer as much as it used to. In fact, your supply of estus will run out a lot more often than the weapon reaches its 60 or 70% durability. And with the placement of fires, as in the third part, you will practically not have to carry broken things with you.

Even if you ever find yourself in that awkward position of breaking your favorite sword while diligently chiseling against all the rocks in your path, Mending Powder is cheap and works very effectively. For the entire game, you are unlikely to need more than a dozen of them.

New game won't start automatically

Miyazaki's pendulum of justice has swung in our favor once again, replacing the dreaded NG+ move from Bloodborne with the classic yes/no question. Dark Souls 3 gives you this choice immediately after the final cutscene, and if you click "No" it will take you back to Firelink Shrine.

The decision to switch to a new game is completely up to you. Once you feel ready, at the main fire of the location, find an option available to you to go to NG+ and go!

Bosses: the secret of victory

Dark Souls 3 is a very violent game, and the local bosses fit right in. As with many things in life, knowledge is only half the battle, and along with it, you will certainly need good coordination, memorization of timings, individual preparation and strategy on a case-by-case basis. But they do have some things in common.

There are several bosses that you can easily defeat, even if your reflexes are more like convulsive twitching of your fingers and trying to press all the buttons at once. Others will turn out to be simple once you know their weaknesses or special tricks that completely neutralize the threat. Well, with all the rest you will have to deal with it for a long time and painfully. It is for this purpose that we have selected for you some general tips designed to make your passage at least a little easier.

Use consumables

Too many players ignore the abundance and variety of resin and moss in the game. If you know the boss is vulnerable to certain type damage, prepare your weapon accordingly using the correct resin. If he deals additional elemental or status damage to you during the fight, reduce or completely get rid of this effect with the help of moss. These items are easy to acquire, so there is no need to save them. Place Resin and/or Moss in Quick Access Slots and use as needed.

Always looking for a cut

Apart from a few very rare cases, such as the Crystal Adept's arena, it's almost always possible to try and find a faster and easier path to the boss from the nearest campfire. You can often run past most of the enemies, who, if they try to catch up with you, will lose interest in you before you reach the foggy wall - the passage to the boss. For example, you can run to Vordt from the Cold Valley very quickly from the High Wall of Lothric, without killing everyone and everything along the way, but simply going down the stairs and jumping onto the ledge, then wait for the enemies to pass by, take the elevator, run through the ambush, pick up to the right as you run past the crossbowman and jump through the window. From here you need to make a short run to the entrance to the arena, and you only need to kill a couple of opponents near the doors if you want to look for signs of summoning.

Keep calm

It may sound a little condescending, but calmness in this game is of the utmost importance. Of course, it's a shame when the boss can kill you with one blow - and this will happen very, very often. But consider if his attacks are too hard to dodge, or are you dodging too soon or too late because you're too worried about it? Try to turn down the volume of the game and tell yourself that right now you are just trying to learn how to avoid the boss's blows without trying to damage him as much as possible. Then, very likely, you will be able to find that what seemed impossible before is quite doable.

Use Coal

Using the power of the flame will greatly increase your health. It has great importance, especially towards the end of the game, where HP gains as you level up no longer play a significant role. Coal is not a limitless resource, so only use it when you have fully strategized the boss fight and learned how to dodge most of his attacks, but feel free to use it as needed.

Ask for help

Whether you're not well-prepared, or a certain boss has already become your personal nightmare, you can always find help waiting for you right behind the foggy wall. It will be much easier for two players to fight simply because they can share the attention of the boss between themselves, drink estus and backstab when he is looking the other way. Look for characters with unusual equipment - it often indicates experienced players who will gladly and without problems help you. Bulky two-handed tanks don't always show high efficiency and efficiency, and the rare mage you're lucky to find can be a terrific helping hand, taking down a boss in a few hits if you can keep his attention on you. If other players fail, or you can't find their summon signs, complete the NPC quests to the maximum - then they will also try to help you. Remember that you can take two phantoms into battle, and if you use Ember directly in front of the arena, you are almost in no danger of being invaded.

Co-op guide

Playing Dark Souls 3 with a friend in co-op is one of the most popular and widely used features of the DS. However, at the same time, unlike most modern games, the process of joining someone else's session here is much more complicated and confusing.

The bottom line is that you add a friend (called a "summon") to your game when you really need help. The same goes for joining someone else's game - you'll be called in if the other player can't handle it on their own.

With that said, these simple steps will allow you to play co-op with anyone, as well as book access specifically for your friend. Below are the highlights.

Joining someone else's game

You need to purchase the White Chalk from the Shrine Maid (the old lady in Firelink Shrine) for 500 souls. This item is needed to be able to leave summon signs that other players will see and summon you if needed.

If you already have this crayon, select it in your inventory and use it as directed. Your character will draw a white sign on the ground. Another player, having found this sign in his world, will be able to click on it and invite you to his place.

If you are doing this to join the game of a specific person and no one else, you can set a password before leaving a sign. By agreeing a password with your friend, you can only be summoned by him and vice versa.

To set a password, select Options on PlayStation 4 or Menu on Xbox One. Click on the "System" icon on the right. In the "Network" section, you will see the option to put a password in the required field.

Make sure you and your friend are also in the same location before starting this process so they can quickly find your sign. Up to four players can play in co-op at the same time.

Joining someone else's game does not require use of coal. In fact, you will receive it after the successful completion of the session, helping others.

Summon another player

Location boss must be alive.

If the boss in this area has been killed before, you will no longer be able to invite other players here (the same goes for them if they want to summon you).

Also, you must have the power of the flame activated (through Coal).

When you die, you lose this power and your health bar becomes regular size. In this form, you will no longer be able to call players to help you and you will not see any summon signs on the ground.

You can find Coal in the world, in addition, the power of the flame is given after defeating the boss. Coal is also sold by the Shrine Handmaid, but it can be quite expensive in the early stages of the game.

If all of the above conditions are met, you should see summon signs on the ground. If your friend left you a sign and set a password, click on him and enter the required letters to call him into your game.

Completion of the co-op

Your co-op session ends when you defeat the location boss, or when you or your friend die. This will automatically send each player to their own world and will not require you to do anything else.

However, if for some reason you need to end the co-op manually, use the Black Crystal of Separation. This item will send the summoned player back to their world, whether the phantom was your ally or yourself.

random players

If you have met all the above conditions for online play, but you still can't see the call signs of other players anywhere, you may have encountered one of the in-game restrictions.

These restrictions include:

  • the level of the summoned player must differ from yours by no more than 10 (belonging to covenants and more high levels may allow for greater scatter).
  • the weapon level of the summoned player must differ from the level of your weapon by no more than 2 (for special weapons that only level up to +5, this value is halved, that is, to summon a friendly phantom, the difference in the levels of such weapons should be no more than by 1);
  • the covenants to which you belong should not be at enmity with each other (of course, you should remove any covenant items before being called).

But you don't have to worry about these conditions if you play with a friend through passwords - in this case, your levels and covenants can be anything.

Well, now you're ready to take part in some serious co-op!

Travel checklist

Dark Souls 3 is an amazing and multifaceted world to explore on your own, but it can be quite frustrating to end such a long and complex game and find yourself missing out on a lot of the content at the end. Ideally, we all have the time and opportunity to play through Dark Souls 3 multiple times, but if you just want the "perfect" game on the first try, we've got you covered.

This checklist can become your guide along the way and advise you in what order it is better to explore the locations, as well as how not to miss anything and nowhere. Everything you need to see, find, collect and do on your journey is listed here. But unlike a complete walkthrough, this list will not tell you which bush and how to get this or that value, how to deal with enemies standing in the way, or even from what angle they will jump at you. All the joy from unexpected gifts, finds and deaths will remain with you. And this game loves surprises!

Although the names of the locations where you will visit, as well as their key elements, are covered here, we will not share the names of bosses, NPCs or covenants - you can find out for yourself, you just need to know where to look. Thus, you can learn the plot, overcome difficulties and complete quests with your own mind and strength, but at the same time refer to this checklist and achieve the maximum from the game that it can give you.

Be sure to return to Firelink Shrine regularly to interact with the NPCs and develop their stories. Bosses marked (O) are required to pass. Not all of the listed actions are available when you first explore the location: you can periodically return there to pick up what you didn’t take. The order of actions is random. No specific location specified. So get into the game and explore a world you haven't set foot in yet. No spoilers!

Dark Mark

In the world of Dark Souls 3, being Hollow means losing traces of humanity when you succumb to the curse of the undead. Most of the humanoid enemies you will encounter are Hollows - aggressive living corpses.

When you died in previous Dark Souls games, your health would drop, you would no longer be able to call phantoms for help, and you would have to use Humanity or Human Figurine to regain what you had lost. But in Dark Souls 3, it all looks a little different. Upon death, you lose the title of Lord of Cinder and must use Ember to regain the power of the flame and not become Hollow.

However, you can go down the path of devastation, which will have its consequences. In this part, we will explain how the devastation system works in Dark Souls 3.

Dark side

The player will not be able to receive devastation until they acquire the Dark Mark. It is a key game item purchased from Yoel of Londor when the player accepts his offer to unlock their true potential (see the NPC guide below for how to recruit Yoel).

Once you have the Dark Mark, each death will increase your Ravage level by one according to the number of Marks you have. That is, one Mark will turn each death into one level of devastation, two Marks into two levels for one death, and so on.

Yoel offers up to five Dark Marks, each time increasing your game level in return. Each of the five Marks of Yoel is available only after reaching a certain number of levels of devastation. You'll need a maximum of 16 to access all five Marks, and it's best to get there as quickly as possible, as Yoel will die after you've defeated a few bosses.

Three more Dark Marks will be available by completing Yuria and Anri of Astora's quests (see the NPC guide for more information and spoilers).

The maximum level of devastation is 99.

Bonuses and special effects

The most notable effect of devastation is that your character becomes cadaverous. The visual effect worsens over time as you become more empty. (Also, since version 1.03, your Hollow-shaped shadow disappears, which is probably a bug.) But this will not affect the interaction with the NPC in any way.

If you don't like this appearance character, you can purchase the Dark Ring of Lies from Yuria of Londor for 5,000 souls. It won't affect your status or havoc levels, but it will make your character look less... intimidating.

On the gameplay side, if your havoc level is above 15, you will be able to activate a devastated weapon that will increase your Luck attribute. A void weapon enchanted to +10 will give a +5 bonus to Luck, which can be doubled to +10. This is very handy for farming items. In order for Andre to upgrade such a weapon, you will need to get him a Fel Ember from the Irithyll Dungeon.

Reset Devastation

The Hollow state does not have any negative effects, but you can either reset your current level of devastation or get rid of it altogether if you wish.

To reset the level to zero, buy Cleansing Stone from Yuria or, if she died, from the Shrine Handmaid by giving her Yuria's Ashes.

In order to be permanently freed from the Devastation and prevent its levels from rising further, the Dark Mark itself must be purged. This will close your access to the third ending of the game and force Yuria to leave the Temple of Fire. To this end, you must return the soul to the Keeper of Fire from the tower behind the Temple. Healing the Dark Mark becomes more expensive the further you go in the game, so it is advisable to do this operation as early as possible.

NPC Directory

The game Dark Souls 3 is full of interesting characters, many of which can offer you something more valuable than the only friendly face in the whole location, which does not try to kill or eat you, barely seeing you. Whether you just want to add a newfound friend to your collection in Firelink Shrine, go through his entire quest line, get the most out of him for the available abilities, items and tips to defeat bosses, our guide to NPCs should help you with this.

Must meet here spoilers so be careful. The characters are listed in order of appearance during a normal playthrough (with the exception of the Flame Keeper, which you will find at the end of the list), but their descriptions will touch on key plot points and partially reveal secrets that you should not have known. We warned.

The first part of the guide lists all the primary NPCs whose services and lives directly depend on the player's actions or play an important role in the possible endings of the game. The same characters whose existence is indirectly connected with the quest lines of the main NPCs, or who are not affected by either the death of the bosses or the interaction of the player with them, are described in the second part of the guide.

Please note that if you kill an NPC, their quests are no longer available to you, but you can continue to get the unique items they offered by bringing their ashes servant at the temple or sometimes for nothing.

Deserter Hawkwood

Deserter Hawkwood is in Firelink Shrine when you first enter, and can be found either sitting on the stairs or outside at the side entrance next to the graves. In the dialogues, he will talk a little about the Legion of the Undead and the Knights of Farron. He can be summoned in the battle against the boss Oceiros.

Talk to him once you arrive at Firelink Shrine to get a new one. gesture.

Approach Hawkwood after defeating the Guardians of the Abyss and he will give you Ring of Farron.

Shortly thereafter, the Deserter will leave the Firelink Shrine. Shield of Hawkwood can be found next to the graves near the temple.

To complete Hawkwood's quest, touch his summon sign near the third bonfire in Ancient Dragon Peak. Get Shimmering Dragon Torso Stone, by using the Way of the Dragon gesture at the peak, and then talking to Blacksmith Andre, you can fight Hawkwood at the Voidkeeper bonfire. If you win, he will give you Shimmering Dragon's Head Stone. If you lose, he will take the Shimmering Dragon Torso Stone. But you can always come back to try to defeat him again, and if you win, you will receive both stones.

In addition, Hawkwood can be called upon to help with the Nameless King.

Leonhard Ring Finger

Leonhard is a mysterious character that can be found in front of the Throne of Lothric in Firelink Shrine. He will give you five cracked red eyes when you talk to him for the first time.

Get it Pale tongue, by invading an alien world and killing another player (or you can find one tongue next to the optional boss in the Undead Settlement), and bring it to Leonhard to receive Lift room key. Use it to access the Dark Spirit in the basement of the tower of the High Wall of Lothric. Talk to the NPC after killing the spirit and get gesture "Applause" and red eye, which allows unlimited invasion of alien worlds.

Leonhard will invite you to join Rosaria's Fingers. (Note: joining this covenant will prematurely complete the Sirris quest - see below). If you accept the Red Eye and become a member of Rosaria's Fliers, Leonhard will be waiting for you at the door to Rosaria's bedroom as soon as you offer her at least one Pale Tongue.

When you come here again, Rosaria will be dead and you can take black eye from her body. Don't worry, you'll still be able to access covenant services through Rosaria's bed, and you'll also be able to resurrect her later if you wish.

The Black Eye can be used in the uppermost room above the Aldrick boss arena. There you will be able to invade another world and fight Leonhard. The reward for defeating him will be Crescent Sword, Silver mask and Soul Rosary. Use it to revive the head of the covenant or exchange it for a miracle Abundant Sun.

Greyrat of the Undead Settlement

A very useful in-game vendor who supplies a range of unique items not available anywhere else. The Greyrat of the Undead Settlement is the first character that most players will encounter upon leaving the Firelink Shrine. As long as they search well. To take this NPC with you, find in the location High Wall of Lothric Camera key, release him from prison and agree to take the ring.

To develop this storyline, find Bone of Loretta in the Undead Settlement. Bring the thief this key item. The next time you return to Firelink Shrine, Greyrat won't be able to buy anything, but after talking, he'll give you a new one. gesture.

After some time, the character recovers and offers to send him to the robbery. Agree, and he will leave the Temple, but then (after killing any boss) he will return with new items for sale.

The second time Greyrat goes on a sortie, there is a chance that he can be killed, and the character's ashes can be found near the Church of Yorshka bonfire in Irithyll of Coldvale. His life (and, accordingly, death) is closely connected with Unbreakable Patchwork and Sigvard of Katharina. To keep Greyrat alive after his second journey, complete Siegward's quest before releasing the thief, and don't speak to Patchwork until Greyrat is gone. The one who goes to save him must have the Catharine set. If it is Patchwork, tell him where Greyrat went as soon as he leaves for Irithyll (for this conversation with Patchwork, you must first talk to Siegward twice: in the tower of the Undead Settlement and at the well). This must be done before killing Pontiff Sullivan, then the thief will return immediately after defeating the boss. And sit by the fire as soon as Patch is about to bail out Greyrat to update the location and make sure they're both gone. If you chose Siegvard, he only needs to give up Katarina's armor and not appear in Irithyll until the victory over the Pontifex.

The Greyrat can be let out for a walk a third time, but here it will die anyway. His corpse will remain lying on the roof of the Great Archive in Lothric Castle.

If this character is killed during any sorties, take Ash from his body and take this key item servant at the temple, in order to be able to buy all the things that Greyrat managed to steal during his adventures.

Yoel and Yuria of Londor

Big spoilers!

Yoel of Londor is a pilgrim and main spell merchant in Dark Souls 3 who plays a major role in unlocking the third ending. To recruit Yoel, you need to visit him at the Foot of the High Wall bonfire in the Undead Settlement as soon as possible. If the character remains alone for a long time, he will soon die.

Yoel will offer to "release the true power" of the player and give one free level. Accepting this service means going to the "dark side" and appearing in inventory dark mark, which infects your character with the Void upon death. Yoel makes his offer five times as your havoc levels rise. On the 16th, the last fifth mark will become available to you. By purchasing them all, you will receive five levels of devastation for each of your deaths.

Yoel dies when the player defeats more bosses or collects all five Dark Marks. There will be no negative consequences from this.

When this happens, and the player has five marks (unhealed - see entry for Keeper of Flame below), the deceased Yoel will be replaced by Yuri of Londor. She will sell Yoel's inventory, as well as several unique items, including Londor Holy Tome and weapons dark hand. Talk to her when she first appears in the Temple and get a new gesture. Further dialogue with Yuria will give you hints on how to reach the third ending of the game.

If the Dark Mark is healed, Yuria will leave, and this ending will be unavailable. If the player, on the contrary, will support with her a good relationship, it will become possible to call her to help in the battle with the final boss - and the secret ending will be opened.

Yuri has a negative attitude towards Orbeku of Vinheim. If he dies (see his entry below), his Ash you can bring Yuria and get in return Morion sword.

Cornyx of the Great Swamp

The first pyromancy teacher in the game, Cornyx of the Great Swamp is an important trader. After his release, he gives the player Pyromancer's Flame and can improve it, and also sells fire spells.

Find Cornyx in the Undead Settlement, take him out of his cage and take him into service.

Talk to the NPC in Firelink Shrine twice to get a new one. gesture.

Bring him Great Swamp Pyromancy Book, The Pyromancy Book of Karthus and Izalith's Pyromancy Book to get new more powerful spells.

Hidden Bonus: If you summon a phantom character Great Swamp Cuculus in the Smoldering Lake and defeat the Old Demon King (while Cuculus must not die in battle), you can pick up Stained Whip and armor of Cornyx next to the cage in the Undead Settlement where you first met him.

Irina from Karim

Irina and Aegon of Karim meet as a couple, but only Irina will move to the Firelink Temple for permanent residence. Retrieve this extremely useful Wonder Vendor from her cell in the Undead Settlement. Simply speak to Aegon at the door and offer the girl your friendship by holding out your hand.

You can expand Irina's assortment by bringing her Sacred Tome from Carim and Sacred Tome of Lothric. If you acquire all the wonders from these volumes from her, it will set her on the path of becoming fire keeper towards the end of the game. You will find her in the tower of Firelink Temple, where she will drop everything. dark books, which (if) you gave to her, and then they can be transferred Carle. Meanwhile, after your fight with the Dragonslayer Armor, Aegon will die. His corpse can be found in Irina's old dungeon in the Undead Settlement and taken from there Great Hammer of Morne and Moaning Shield.

You can also give Irina Londor Holy Tome(sells Yuri, see the entry about it above) and Deep Sacred Tome. At the same time, if you acquire any "evil" miracles from these dark volumes, Irina will no longer be able to become a Guardian. Further events will depend on how far you have gone in the game:

  • If the case is drawing to a close and Ægon is already dead, the girl will remain in her place in the Firelink Shrine and you will need to buy all the dark wonders from her in order to bring her to the last stage of insanity.
  • If Aegon is still alive, he will take Irina to the fire of Judge Gundir, where he will outlive you and prove extremely hostile. Kill him and Irina will return to Firelink Shrine and then you will also need to completely clear her inventory.

In any case, Irina will stop trading with you. Put on Ægon's Gloves ( Bracers of Morne available for purchase from Temple servants after his death) and touch the girl when this option appears in the dialog box. How to deal with it further is up to you.

But as long as Irina and Aegon are alive and well, the guardian can be called upon as a phantom on the Road of Sacrifices and in the battle with the Armor of the Dragonslayer. In addition, he will visit you in Firelink Shrine after defeating the Guardians of the Abyss. If Irina dies or is affected by the darkness, Aegon will become hostile to you and will not be available for summoning.

Sigvard of Katharina

Katarina's Onion Knights are back in Dark Souls 3! The first time you meet Sigvard of Katarina is when you enter the tower in the Undead Settlement. Leave the location (or die) and return, then you can meet him on the open balcony between the upper and middle floors. Here you can join him to fight an optional boss and get gestures "Toast" and "Dream", as well as Sigbrow which can be exchanged with chick in Firelink Shrine, then talk to Sigvard again.

If you want to continue his quest line, make sure sent Greyrat on his first outing or do so as soon as possible, as they are related.

Your next encounter with Siegvard will be right across from the Chapel of Purification bonfire in the Temple of the Deep. If upon arrival you do not find a knight in the well, spend several hours clearing the Temple up to and including the second floor, but no further. If by this time he does not deign to reveal himself, and you have already done all of the above, go to the earlier game locations and then come back here again. Eventually, he should show up.

When Sigvard is in the well, you will learn that he has lost his armor. You can buy them from Unbreakable Patchwork for 10,000 souls. It can be found a little further in the Temple of the Deep or in the Temple of Fire (see its entry for details). Drop the onion knight's armor into the well before defeating the Deacons of the Deep to complete this part of the quest.

The next meeting will take place in Irithyll of the Cold Valley. From the Far Manor bonfire, look for the room by following the small sewer by the lake. End the dialogue.

You will then find Siegvard in the Irithyll Dungeon. Find a hole full of rats(careful, they respawn!), near the sleeping giant and talk to the character through the window. To save the knight, go to the Defiled Capital bonfire and look for the blue roof of the house in the swamp. Look from this rooftop towards the stairs to see an open window that you can jump through. This will take you to Sigvard's cell.

If you bring his quest to this point, he will join you in the Giant Yhorm boss fight and will most likely win the fight for you. Talk to him again after the battle until all the replicas are exhausted. Shortly after the battle, Sigvard will die. As a result you will get Catharine set.

Henri of Astora

Big spoilers!

Anri of Astora is a prince or princess who is a romantic interest in the game. Henri's gender will always be the opposite gender of the protagonist. (Since your gender in Dark Souls 3 has little to do with anything, you can pre-select the opposite of what you want Anri to have according to your romantic ideals.) He/she is also a key person in getting the third ending. games.

The first time you meet Henri with a companion Horace the Silent on the path of sacrifice. Speak to both of them to ensure they move on and get badge of the blue guards.

Return to Firelink Shrine after defeating the Deacons of the Deep and speak with Anri again.

Then look for Anri in the Catacombs of Karthus and find out that he (a) lost Horace. Find him in the Smoldering Lake, moving from the Abandoned Grave bonfire, and talk to Anri one more time before going to kill High Overlord Volnir. All your actions in this part of the quest will have profound consequences.

  • Leave Horace alive and not speak to Anri until High Overlord Volnir is killed: Anri will die in the Catacombs of Karthus after defeating the boss. This is a premature completion of the quest, and you will not get any unique loot and results.
  • Leave Horace alive and talk to Anri before killing High Overlord Volnir: Anri will leave the Catacombs of Karthus and their story will continue, but Yuri will leave the Firelink Shrine, and the third ending of the game will become inaccessible.
  • Kill Horace and talk to Anri before killing High Overlord Volnir: Henri will give you Evil Eye Ring, will leave the Catacombs of Karthus and the quest will continue. The third ending will be available.

Meet Anri again at the bonfire Church of Yorshka in Irithyll of the Cold Valley. This is where the quest forks: there is a pilgrim disguised as a statue in the room, and you have to choose whether to kill him or ignore him. And you need to decide this now, until Henri left this location.

  • If you kill a pilgrim in a room: collect the spell from his body Chameleon. It will make Yuri leave the Temple of Fire and will close your access to the third ending. Look for the summon sign on the way to the arena with Aldrick and you will be transported to Anri's world as a phantom to help the character kill the boss (return to your world if things are bad and you want Anri to survive). Talk to Ludleth after defeating Aldrick in Anri's world and get Anri's sword. If you then return to Smoldering Lake, Anri will attack you.
  • If you do not touch the pilgrim: Look for Anri in Darkmoon Tomb. Use the lever near the Anor Londo bonfire and go down the stairs. If a Yuri is still present in your game (see entry for it above), you will be able to marry Anri and unlock the third ending. Come back here to pick up the spell Chameleon and after some time, Anri's sword.

Orbeck of Vinheim

As the chief seller of witchcraft, Orbeck of Vinheim is found between the Forest of Torment and the Crystal Adept bonfires. You need an intelligence level of at least ten for him to agree to go to the Firelink Shrine.

Orbeck's inventory will increase when you bring him the scrolls of sorcery. You need to get him at least one scroll before going to kill any of the Ash Lords, or he may leave the Temple and disappear forever.

Talk to Obrek after acquiring a few spells. He will reward you Ring with a young dragon, Dormant Dragon Ring and new gesture.

Complete Orbeck's quest by bringing him all the scrolls: Adept's Scroll, golden scroll, Crystal Scroll and Scroll of Logan. If after that you buy from him everything that he sells, then the character will leave the Temple of Fire and die. You can find his body in the Great Archive. Take Ashes of Orbek servant at the temple to buy his clothes Veil of secrecy. Alternatively, you can take this ashes Yuri in exchange for a unique Morion sword.

Sirris of the Sunless Lands

Warning: with any version of the game below 1.03, touching Sirris's summon sign can break the game.

You will first meet Sirris when you return to Firelink Shrine after talking to Henri of Astora and Horace the Silent at the Unfinished Fortress. She will not treat you with great friendliness.

Once you earn her respect, you can call on Sirris to help you fight three bosses: the Guardians of the Abyss, the Deacons of the Deep, and Lothric, the Lesser Prince. If you join the Fingers of Rosaria covenant at any point in the game, Sirris will become hostile to you, no longer available for summoning, and her quest will fail.

To get the location of Sirris, collect Dreamer's Ashes near the Elder Wolf of Farron bonfire and return to servant at the temple. The next time you visit Firelink Shrine, Sirris will appear here a second time and give you a new gesture "Loyalty to the Dark Moon", which you will need to join the Blades of the Darkmoon covenant.

The third time you will meet Sirris near the Irithyll bonfire in the Coldvale. Rest by the fire, then return to the bridge guarded by the monster and look for the summon sign. Activate it to appear in her world and help her defeat the invading dark spirit Creighton. Return to Firelink Shrine and Sirris will give you silver cat ring and Consecrated Panzerbreaker.

After defeating Aldrick, go to the Pit of the Desolate bonfire and activate the Sirris summon sign there to defeat the Righteous Knight Godric - the real one, not the phantom that you have probably already met in the game. Sirris will then swear allegiance to you. (It also unlocks the Marauders covenant for those who missed it earlier.) Return to this location on your world to collect Godric's set.

Speak to Sirris in Firelink Shrine and she will express satisfaction and readiness for death. Sometime after that, find the ledge between Firelink Shrine and Judge Gundir and take Sunset Shield. Later, when Sirris dies, her Sunless Set can be purchased from the Handmaid at the temple. And used by her Eclipse Talisman will appear on the same ledge where you previously found the shield.

Unbreakable Patchwork

The most beloved of all the NPCs in Dark Souls is back and, as usual, does it for the sole purpose of fooling you. In addition, he carries unique equipment with him, which is vital for completing the quest. Sigvarda of Katharina.

Your first chance to meet the Unbreakable Patchwork is outside Rosaria's bedroom in the Temple of the Deep. His appearance here is connected with the completion of the beginning of the quests of Sigvard from Katarina and Greyrat in the Undead Settlement. He will ask you to cross the bridge and lower it once you have done so. Your character will take fall damage and will likely be attacked by enemies from the lower levels of the Temple. Return to Patchwork to hear his apology.

Patchwork may not spawn at the above location if you come here by a different route. If this happens, and Patch is not in the Temple of the Deep, but you need Siegvard's armor, return to the Temple of Fire. Buy Tower key if you haven't already, and study it carefully. Leave this location, then go back there again and enter the tower again. Patchwork will ban you. Use the Bone of Return (or die) and look for this character: go up to the upper levels of Firelink Shrine on the same side as Leonhard and the side entrance. Patchwork will apologize again; if you do not forgive him, he will give you rusty coin and gesture "Fall prostrate".

If you haven't encountered Patchwitch in any of the locations above, but have already defeated the Guardians of the Abyss and the Deacons of the Deep, he will appear in Firelink Shrine regardless of your actions.

If Patch is sitting when you approach him in Firelink Shrine (leave the area and come back after your first Shrine talk to see this), he will give you squatting gesture.

Unbreakable Patchwork is indirectly linked to survival Greyrat in the Undead Settlement. If you want to keep Greyrat alive, don't tell Patchkit where the thief went; in fact, it's best not to talk to him at all until the Greyrat goes on an adventure, but that doesn't guarantee the safety of the Greyrat himself. Patchworker will resume selling his wares after the next boss is defeated, and the thief will return from his sally if Sigvard of Katarina comes with him to rescue him in time (see Sigvard's entry above).

Karla

Carla is something like a backup NPC; it can be used to save Irina from Karim alive, while having the opportunity to acquire spells for which Irina would have to pay with her life. Karla sells sorcery and pyromancy.

Recruit a witch by opening her cell in the Irithyll Dungeons. Jailer's Keys can be found in the Profaned Capital.

Give it to Carla Quilana's Pyromancy Book and Gravekeeper's Pyromancy Book to expand its range. Cornix will not accept these volumes.

Although she will refuse at first, you can insist and she will also take Londor Holy Tome and Deep Sacred Tome. This will keep Irina alive and allow you to purchase the spells contained in these books. There are no negative consequences from such an exchange.

Fire Keeper

Big spoilers!

The Flame Keeper is capable of doing something much more interesting than simply leveling up the player. You can bring her two gifts, each with significant implications for the ending you'll see:

  • Buy Tower key at Temple servants and find Soul of the fire keeper at the top of this tower. Return it to the Flame Keeper and she can save you from dark mark. This will block access to the third ending "Usurpation of fire", will save you from the devastation and the ability to buy items from Yuri.
  • Look for Eyes of the fire keeper in the secret location Abandoned Graves. Give them to the owner and talk to her. This will allow you to use her summon sign after defeating the final boss before the last bonfire and get second ending "End of Fire".

Minor characters

Here you will find a list of in-game phantoms invading your world, their belonging to various covenants, as well as what reward you will receive for killing them. You must be in Ash Champion form (after using Ember) for the invasion to take place.

Please note that the phantoms in this area will stop invading you as soon as you defeat the location boss. If you miss any invasion, you will have to wait for the next NG+ game or restart the current one.

Righteous Knight Godric - Marauders

  • Invades between the Undead Settlement and the Dilapidated Bridge.
  • Reward: Bone chains.
  • It is possible to talk to him before the Cursed Great Tree is defeated if the player enters the Marauder's location.
  • Can be summoned (hostile) only once near the Unfinished Fortress, to the left of the poisonous horned bugs.
  • Involved in Sirris of the Sunless Lands storyline.

Hazel Yellowfinger - Rosaria's Fingers

  • Invades between the Half-Finished Keep and the Forest of Torment, as well as in the Basilisk locations near the Citadel Ruins and Farron Citadel.
  • Reward: Crown of Jeremiah and Ice Pick Hazel.
  • If you skip it, the Crown of Jeremiah can be obtained in the game later - from a larva near the Rosary.

Kirk Middle Finger – Rosary's Fingers

  • Intrudes on the lower floor of the Temple of the Deep.
  • Reward: spiked sword and Spiked Shield.
  • After defeating him and resting by the fire, head to Rosaria's bedroom to retrieve him Set of spikes.

Knightslayer Tsorig

  • Extremely dangerous. Gives thank you gesture for defeating him or for your defeat.
  • Intrudes at the end of the sewer tunnel near the giant rat in the Catacombs of Karthus, and then next to the lava pit below the Black Knight on the path between the Demon Ruins or the Old King's Hall and the stairs to the ballista in Smoldering Lake.
  • Reward: Giant Smoke Sword, Dark iron shield and Knightslayer Ring. After defeating Tsorig Dark iron set will become available for purchase from the Shrine Handmaid.
  • Can be summoned to fight the Old Demon King.

Alva, Seeker of the Outcast

Dark Souls 3 walkthrough of all bosses in order.

Judge Gundyr (Iudex Gundyr)

Location: Cemetery of Ash

Reward: Coiled Sword, 3000 souls

Judge Gundyr

How to get past the first boss? We approach him and pull out a sword from him. We immediately begin to beat him, there is an opportunity to start inflicting damage even before he gets up and starts attacking you. This boss has a long attack range and can easily hit you while on long distance. In the event that you decide to kite him, then you should move away, and if you fight close, then do not be afraid to come closer. From lunges and circular attacks, you need to dodge, then immediately attack. After the boss has half health left, he will begin to transform and become much larger, the distance of his attacks will also increase. We follow the same strategy and attack him after his attacks. When he lowers his right hand on the ground, move away so that he does not grab us. You can also strike at the moment when the boss leans forward a little to strike.

Vordt of The Boreal Valley

Location:

Reward: Soul of Vordt from Cold Valley, 3000 souls

Wardt of Cold Valley

In order to make it easier to fight this boss, you need to get things that increase resistance to cold. When fighting this enemy, you need to try to stay behind and attack him in the back, because he attacks exclusively from the front and over a large area, and being behind his back, it will be very easy to survive. After the boss's health drops to half, white steam will begin to appear around him. In the event that the boss starts to shoot ice balls out of the mouth, moving away as far as possible. We do not change tactics, we repeat all of the above.

Curse-Rotted Greatwood

Location: Undead Settlement

Reward: Soul of the Cursed Great Tree, Transposition Furnace, 7000 souls

Cursed Great Tree

First, when you hit the location, you need to kill all simple opponents, then go to the boss. After the boss comes to life, you need to start hitting the growths, they will be immediately visible. After that, you will fall into the ground. Next, we go behind the back of the boss and attack the growths again. When he rises, we leave. We run away from the yellow puddles, they do not do much damage, but they slow down a lot. We destroy the growths on the side, try not to get hit by hand. It remains to deal with growths on the legs.

Crystal Sage

Location: Road of Sacrifices

Reward: Soul of the Crystal Adept, 8000 souls

Crystal Master

This boss is dangerous because he can shoot large crystal balls, despite the fact that they are quite slow and easy to dodge, they do a lot of damage. First we attack the boss, after which he will disappear and crystals will appear. Then the boss will sometimes begin to disappear and appear in different places, at this moment we will need to dodge the shots, and then counterattack. Next, the boss will have five balls above his head. As before, they fly very slowly, so we attack and dodge. At the last stage, the boss summons his copies, each of which will also attack you. You need to find the real boss and dodging attacks, kill him.

Deacons of the Deep

Deacons of the Deep

There are a lot of enemies in this location, you should not attack everyone, you need to find the one that is highlighted in red and focus on it. Moreover, they are all quite slow and will not cause you much harm. Ignore them and dodge. When the second stage comes, opponents will appear who will shoot fireballs at you, so it's better to kill them. And do not forget to attack the main one. The Pontiff's Left Eye ring, which restores HP on successful attacks, can make the battle easier. If you can't get through with your current equipment, then it's probably worth putting on heavy armor and taking any two-handed sword that will simply scatter the undead.

Abyss Watchers

Guardians of the Abyss

At the very beginning, the boss will rush forward and start the fight with a lunge. Most often, he alternates blows with a sword and a dagger. At the very end, he hits the circle. After a series of blows, there comes a moment when we need to start hitting him. When the boss enters the second phase, he will summon mobs, which should be noted as very nimble, but you don’t need to be distracted by them. The most interesting comes at the end when the boss dies. After the first time, he will be reborn, and become even stronger. We attack in the same way after his series of tricks, ending with a circular blow or a strong blow to the ground. If you move far away, the boss will make a powerful dash, which is difficult to dodge.

High Lord Wolnir

High Overlord Volnir

Once in this location, you need to go into the light, there the boss will be waiting for us. He will come to us from the darkness, or rather the head and his hands. If you use a shield, you can immediately remove it. In the battle with this boss, you will not need it, it is better to take a weapon with decent damage. At the moment when the boss raises his hand up, you need to get closer to him, or move as far as possible to dodge the blow. As soon as he strikes, you need to counterattack him and hit the golden bracelets on his hands. When the boss releases black smoke from his mouth, we run as far as possible. If skeletons appear, we do not pay attention to them and finish off the boss.

Pontiff Sulyvahn

Pontiff Sullivan

Location: Irithyll of The Boreal Valley

Reward: Soul of Pontifex Sullivan, 28,000 souls

Pretty strong and fast boss. We go into the room, and he immediately rushes to us. Able to do jerks to the side. Inflicts several blows with a fiery sword in a row, after which you can answer. The second sword makes lunges in the direction of the hero. It is most convenient to spin around the boss constantly trying to go behind his back and periodically inflict one blow. When the second stage of the fight begins, the boss will kneel down and knock you back with magic. When the shadow he summoned (or something similar) starts to appear, it's time for a few hits on the boss. The shadow will interfere, but it is not necessary to focus on it. The boss will start to strike after the jump, so when he bounces, we move away from the attack.

Old Demon King

Old Demon King

Boss is optional. For combat, you will need armor with resistance to fire and physical damage. If you go in and immediately start hitting the boss, you can do a lot of damage. The boss will attack with his weapons and fire waves from the front. We dodge fire attacks and try to attack and stay behind. After the boss raises his hands up, fireballs will begin to fall from the sky - we dodge. He can also make powerful circles of fire, we run away from them.

Yhorm the Giant

Giant Yorm

Location: Irithyll Dungeon

Nearest bonfire: Corrupted Capital

Reward: Lord's Ashes, Giant Yhorm's Soul, 36,000 souls

First of all, we run past the boss to his throne and take the Storm Ruler sword. We take it with two hands and use (L2 (PS4) / LT (XB1)) special attacks. The boss is not agile and it is easy for him to go behind his back, passing between his legs. We spin around him and charge the attack. We are waiting good moment and we beat. It is often possible to have time to perform two attacks in a row. In the second half of the battle, the boss will burn with fire and will be able to beat him with it. We do not fall under circular attacks.

Aldritch, Devourer of Gods

Location: Irythill of the Boreal Valley

Nearest bonfire: Anor Londo

Reward: Lord's Ashes, Soul of Aldrich, 50,000 souls

Basically, the boss uses magic attacks and a melee attack with physical damage. It fires arrows that you have to dodge. It's best not to stray too far from it. We try to hit the long body and move away when he sticks the staff into the ground. We attack after the fired arrows and melee attack. When he shoots from a bow, we run, but we make sure that he does not hit us with a staff.

Dancer of the Boreal Valley

cold valley dancer

Location: High Wall of Lothric

Nearest bonfire: Wardt of Cold Valley

Reward: Soul of the Dancer, 60,000 souls

The peculiarity of this boss is that he wields a very long sword and moves in a circle. It is best to attack the Dancer from behind, while you need to dodge her circular attacks and strikes from above. As the boss enters the second phase, he will have a second sword. Because of this, she starts to deal more circular attacks. After a series of blows, we attack. We try not to stand in front of the boss - the blows from above are very strong.

Oceiros, the Consumed King

Oceiros, the Consumed King

Location: Garden of the Consumed King

Nearest bonfire: cold valley dancer

Reward: Soul of Consumed Oceiros, 58,000 souls, path to Abandoned Graves, Path of the Dragon emote

This is a fairly slow and not the most difficult boss in Dark Souls 3. It is rather slow and attacks with sweeping staff strikes at close range. At the moment when he sticks the staff into the ground, we need to have time to move away, then smoke will appear around the boss. Sometimes the boss can jump on us and we need to dodge in time. It's best to stay near the boss's legs, it's easier to dodge. It is often possible to strike before the appearance of smoke. In the second stage Consumed King will begin to spin itself, it also begins to move quickly and freeze everything while in flight. We try to stay under his stomach and hit after his attacks. It is better not to hide behind the columns - the boss will break them.

Dragonslayer Armor

Dragonslayer Armor

Location: Lothric Castle

Nearest bonfire: Dragon Barracks

Reward: Soul of Dragonslayer Armor, 64,000 souls, path to Prince Lothric.

Dragonslayer armor is one of the fastest bosses in Dark Souls 3 (the only one with a shield), he can dash towards the hero, fights close and delivers very strong blows from above. After he has dealt a series of blows, we begin a counterattack. You need to try to constantly run around the boss to avoid his attacks. After simple attacks of the boss, we do not inflict more than one blow. We dodge swings in advance. In the second stage, balls will fall from the sky, we move away from the blow.

Champion Gundyr

Location: Cemetery of Ash

Nearest bonfire: Untended Graves

Reward: Soul of Champion Gundyr, 60,000 souls

At the very beginning, we attack the boss before he gets up. We try to stay behind our backs or sideways, dodging his blows. The moment the boss kneels, we start attacking him. In the second phase, the boss becomes much faster, and on top of everything else, he will start punching and kicking. We continue to attack in the back. It is better not to stand in the way of the boss and constantly move sideways from attacks. We try not to stand still so as not to get hit by jumps.

Ancient Wyvern

This boss is very unusual, and if you wish, you can defeat this dragon with one blow. We run past the boss through the tunnels, climb higher and next to the door (at the entrance to the boss) climb the stairs. We pass along the wooden platform and jump down several times. We get to the ledge, which is located above the head of the dragon. Here you need to jump down and kill him.

Lothric and Lorian (Lord of Cinder: Lothric Younger Prince & Lorian Elder Prince)

Location: Lothric Castle

Nearest bonfire: Dragonslayer Armor

Reward: Cinders of a Lord, Soul of the Twin Princes, 85,000 souls

This boss is dangerous due to his teleportation skill. Using teleportation, he may appear behind you. He is very dangerous because he can strike at a great distance and even dash towards the hero. We dodge his attacks, and hit during the break. You can try to stab in the back. After the boss dies, the girl will resurrect him and unite with him. We dodge shots that can easily kill. We beat after the blows of the boss and carefully monitor the teleportation. If you killed the boss again, but did not kill the girl, then most likely she will resurrect him again. She must be killed. Having defeated her, you can not finish off the boss, he will die himself.

The Nameless King

Location: Archdragon Peak

Nearest bonfire: Great Belfry

Reward: Soul of the Nameless King, 80,000 souls, Titanite Slab, Dragonslayer Set (Helm, Armor, Gauntlets, Leggings), Nameless King Set (Golden Crown, Dragonscale Armor, Golden Bracelets, Dragonscale Waistcloth).

We activate the switch and, after the bell rings, we get to the boss. It is extremely important to dodge the dragon's blows in time and counterattack him on the head. In turn, the King will try to hit you with his weapon from the front. Try to be as close as possible to the dragon's neck, while avoiding being hit by its wings. If the dragon takes off, then we do not stand still, we move away from attacks from the air. After the dragon dies, the battle with its rider begins. The rider can also attack from afar or make sharp jerks towards the hero. After waiting for a moment, after he delivered a series of circular strikes and counterattacked him. It is best to strike one or two hits and retreat. Try to cover yourself with a shield. Lightning attacks will appear in the second half.

Dark Souls 3 final (last) boss. How to get Gwyn Lord of Ash.

Soul of Cinder

Location: Kiln of the First Flame

Nearest bonfire: Kiln of the First Flame

Reward: Soul of the Lords, 100,000 souls, start NG+

This is the long-awaited final boss of Dark Souls 3. He is very dangerous and fast. Up close, it strikes with circular and sweeping blows, makes lunges. When the boss has finished a series of his blows, we begin to beat him back, no more than 2-3 blows at a time, otherwise we will not have time to dodge. When the boss enters the second phase, he has knockback attacks. The difficulty of the game increases due to the fact that the range of his attacks will increase. Further more. He has magic balls that you have to constantly hide and dodge. Here you will already need to attack more carefully, after his magical attacks. After the first victory (we move away from the explosion), the boss will become even angrier, and the attacks will be even faster and further. Fiery sword swings are very dangerous. We retreat when he plunges the sword into the ground. We attack after such a series. We beat the same several times. We move away from lightning strikes.
