Design features

Such door systems consist of two main elements:

• canvases;
• boxes.

The frame, as a rule, is made of high-strength profile sheet (it must be rigid and durable). Reinforced adjustable hinges are welded onto it, onto which the door leaf is hung.

The sash is a hollow structure made of sheet steel, the inside of which is filled with non-flammable insulation (usually mineral wool is used for these purposes).

When installing fire-resistant doors, special attention is paid to ensuring that the contour of the leaf is tightly adjacent to the frame: if this requirement is not met, the structure will not be able to become a reliable barrier in the path of fire and smoke.
