Guide to the game World of Warships - tips on leveling up, combat tactics and modifications. What are the best ships in World of Warships?

This article will focus on the best premium ships in World of Warships (), which can no longer be purchased either for gold in the game client or for money. All of them were removed from the game. So, it would seem, why write about them?

Firstly, you can still encounter these ships in battles. Secondly, some of these ships, although rarely, are still found by players in super containers. Well, thirdly, nothing prevents developers from periodically putting these ships on sale. This has happened before!

1. Japanese destroyers Kamikaze, Kamikaze R and Fujin

It’s not for nothing that these three Japanese ones occupy first place in today’s hit parade. They are clones of the good old Minekaze before its epic nerf. It was Fujin that the World of Warships developers sold through the premium store after rebalancing the pumpable Minekaze, which excited the gaming community and pleased experienced pedobirs. Moreover, since we are talking about Tier V destroyers, they sold it cheap.

These Japanese premium destroyers are distinguished solely by their name and camouflages. Due to its low price, it is recommended to purchase at the first opportunity. Of course, you will often get hit against sixes and sevens, but for Kamikaze and Fujin this is just an opportunity to knock out more hit points from enemy ships.

2. British cruiser Belfast

The recipe for preparing this Tier VII imbischi is simple: the performance characteristics are taken from the imbalanced British Fiji, unnecessary torpedoes are removed, and the coveted land mines and radar are given. Shooting from smoke, illuminating targets for yourself using radar - what could be more beautiful? Despite the wild server win rate, Belfast was removed from the game after the nerf of smokes in the fall of 2017 with the possibility of being sold for gold.

Let me add that now the most comfortable level in the game is VII. So if Belfast suddenly appears on sale again, take a closer look at it.

3. Battleship of the Russian Imperial Navy Emperor Nicholas I

Emperor Nicholas I was the first in the World of Warships of the Russian Imperial Navy. However, it did not sell for long. It soon became clear that Emperor Nicholas I was the ultimate bending machine, and it was quickly removed from sale. This is partly due to the unique arrangement of the turrets, which allows Nikolai to tank by moving all four turrets from side to side through the bow, and partly due to the almost complete absence of superstructures.

Players who slept through the sale of Emperor Nicholas I still dream of buying it on the game forum; even the complete lack of air defense on this ship does not stop them. Which, unfortunately, is normal for a Tier IV battleship.

As in the case of British Belfast, Tier VIII Mikhail Kutuzov was removed from the game after the nerf of smokes with the possibility of receiving compensation in gold. It’s easy to guess that one of Mikhail Kutuzov’s tricks is the presence of a smoke generator on this ship.

But this is not the only moment that makes Kutuzov a fierce imbecile. The fact is that, like many premium ships in World of Warships, Mikhail Kutuzov appeared in the game long before the developers decided on the final characteristics of the Soviet cruisers being upgraded. As a result, some of the Kutuzov’s tactical and technical characteristics, for example, rudder shift time and torpedo range, are noticeably superior to the performance characteristics of the ships being upgraded, which makes Kutuzov by far the best Soviet cruiser at its level.

If you are a fan of Soviet warships and are generally satisfied with upgradeable Soviet cruisers from Tier VI to VIII, take Mikhail Kutuzov as soon as possible. He's worth it!

This TOP would be incomplete if I did not mention the Tier V destroyer Gremyashchiy. This beauty was sold in bundles that gave access to the World of Warships closed beta test. It should be noted that after many years have passed since the release of the game, it is most likely not so much the ship itself that is bent, but the experienced players playing on it, as is the case with reward ships for winning the Black and Flint ranks.

Dear captains!

IN World of Warships game many presented warships from the Second World War. The developers from WarGaming.Net have chosen a strategic direction for the naval game. After all, most of the USSR, Germany, Japan and other countries that took part in the last world war have long been studied in detail by historians. Our task is to choose best ship . There are a lot of schemes detailed descriptions and photographs of these ships. When choosing ships for the game, Wargaming's top management relied on the most famous battleships, boats, cruisers and other classes of combat ships.

Which ship is better in the World of Ships?

Based on the above, choose which ship is better it's actually not that simple. Full list ships from the game World of Warships have not yet been fully formed, but several ships have already been announced. In particular, on our maritime portal there is a website, as well as information about warships and. In addition, we recently released the full .

Of course, by the standards of the Second World War, battleships were the most armed and safe ships. The Japanese Navy had three battleships by the end of the war, the USSR had one and the United States had four. The most ambitious military shipbuilding projects were implemented by the Japanese, whose combat power was superior to that of ships from other countries. This means that the best ship in the game World of Warships must be Japanese. The mentioned battleship "Yamato" is perfectly suited for this title.

Portal about the game World of Warships chooses the best ship in the World of Ships the legendary battleship Yamato.

Hello to all readers and subscribers of our blog about online games. The Gamebizclub team is in touch and today we will tell you about the best ships in World of Warships. These combat vehicles are the stuff of dreams not only for beginners, but also for experienced players. In this review, we will examine in detail both premium ships and representatives of the main development branches. It is quite possible that today you will be able to find the ship of your dreams among them.

From this article you will learn:

America

One of the main directions of shipbuilding in the United States in the 20th century was the creation of heavy ships with impressive air defense. In terms of firepower, American combat ships of that time were many times superior to their classmates of other nations. However, with all this, they were significantly behind the Japanese in terms of torpedo armament.

  • Cruisers

St. Louis (III level) – is popular not only among beginners, but also among experienced gamers. The combination of firepower and strong armor makes this cruiser perhaps the best ship at its tier. Along the sides there are as many as 14 sixteen-inch guns and 18 76 mm guns, providing continuous firing. In terms of combat effectiveness points, St. Louis can be compared to same-tier battleships. The disadvantages include the fact that the ship has almost completely no air defense. In addition, this cruiser is quite vulnerable to fragmentation shells from battleships. However, even taking into account all the shortcomings of St. Louis, we advise you to upgrade this particular ship at level 3.

Omaha (Level V) – for gamers who open the 5th level of the development tree for American cruisers, Omaha becomes a “pioneer” in several respects. It will delight players with the appearance on board of a gun turret and an aircraft catapult for a reconnaissance aircraft. The cruiser is a leader in its class in terms of firing range. And the presence of torpedo weapons gives it a significant advantage in close combat. Omaha – ideal option for farming silver. With relatively cheap content, it allows you to get up to 200,000 per battle even without a premium account.

Cleveland (VI tier) – in the history of the fleet, this type of cruiser is considered the most popular. The ship has four gun turrets, which house all of its guns. This design allows for targeted shooting at one specific target on board. Cleveland's main advantage is its incredibly powerful air defense for this level, turning it into main threat for enemy aircraft.

Atlanta (VII tier) – this premium cruiser occupies a special place in the line of elite ships of the American fleet. 16 incredibly fast-firing twin 127-caliber guns rain down heavy fire on opponents, smashing to pieces everything that is not protected by a dense layer of armor. And its torpedo tubes can present a very unpleasant surprise to unwary battleships. The greatest effectiveness on Atlanta can be achieved in squadron combat.

Des Moines (Level X) – 9 eight-inch cannons firing 10 salvoes per minute are the hallmark of this ship. It is not surprising that with such weapons he easily sends enemy ships to the bottom. This cruiser has no equal in duels. However, like other representatives of this class, it should stay away from enemy battleships.

  • Destroyers

Farragut (VI tier) is a worthy representative of the destroyer class, with excellent performance characteristics and powerful weapons. Success in a direct collision is guaranteed if the enemy is a fairly light ship. Still, in terms of armor it is significantly inferior to same-tier cruisers and battleships. It is also worth noting that the air defense of this destroyer is good at shooting down enemy aircraft. And with enough ingenuity and skillful use of torpedoes in close combat, it can be used to fight even heavier enemy ships.

Sims (VII tier) – despite its lightness, this premium destroyer can repel not only ships of its class, but also armored cruisers. Amazing speed, impressive artillery and first-class maneuverability are three reasons why you should buy the American destroyer Sims.

  • Battleships

North Carolina (VIII tier) - this masterpiece of American shipbuilding does not have the best armor for its class, however, due to this it demonstrates amazing mobility. In capable hands, the battleship North Carolina becomes an almost universal combat ship. Powerful air defense and impressive weapons allow it to effectively destroy enemy cruisers, battleships and aircraft. The only thing its captain has to fear is air raids and coordinated group attacks.

Montana (X lvl) – the battleship is interesting primarily because in reality the project to create it was never implemented. Still, this did not stop the developers from the Wargaming studio from giving him life in the vast gaming universe of World of Warships. In terms of characteristics, it can easily compete with the similar Japanese battleship Yamato. The Montana's leisurely speed is more than compensated for by its impenetrable armor and first-class weapons, represented by four three-gun mounts with a caliber of 406 mm.

  • Aircraft carriers

Independence (VI level) – unlike aircraft carriers of previous levels, this ship guarantees fairly comfortable gameplay. Its improved performance characteristics and significantly increased aircraft quality compared to its predecessors allow players to fully realize the potential of this class. Decent speed and powerful air defense allow the aircraft carrier to successfully evade enemy attacks. Playing the Independence would be even more enjoyable if it had more versatile weapons on board. But due to their small size, their number is reduced to two. Thus, the ship is unlikely to be suitable for close combat. But he doesn't need that.

Midway (X lvl) – this ship can be called the first and, in fact, the last “battleship aircraft carrier” of the United States Navy. Its armored flight deck can even withstand a bomb attack. And on board the ship carries one of the largest groups of aircraft presented in WoWS. Add to this good performance characteristics and reliable armor - and you will get an almost ideal vehicle for destroying enemy ships.

Japan

The shipbuilders of the Land of the Rising Sun were distinguished by rather original thinking. Having borrowed the best ideas from their American and European colleagues, they were able to successfully combine them with their own developments and create a number of warships that were unique in their characteristics.

  • Cruisers

Kuma (IV tier) is a ship that has rightfully earned the title of one of the most controversial in the game. Despite its impressive armament for this level, high rate of fire and impeccable driving characteristics, it has a number of significant disadvantages that must be taken into account. These include insufficiently powerful air defense and low range. In general, we can say that Kuma is a ship for everyone. Although, this fact does not prevent him from remaining one of the most popular cruisers among WoWS players.

Yubari (IV tier) is a premium light cruiser that can cause a lot of trouble for aircraft carrier commanders. There are 16 anti-aircraft guns on board, posing a serious threat to enemy aircraft. With an incredibly high speed of up to 35 knots, it has excellent maneuverability, which negates any enemy attempts to strike back. And for those who still doubt the combat potential of Yubari, we remind you that this cruiser is equipped with the most powerful 610 mm torpedoes among ships of its class.

Mogami (Tier VIII) – this cruiser can give a worthy rebuff not only to similar ships, but also to ships of higher levels. The presence of 15 rapid-firing 155 mm guns allows it to shower opponents with destructive heavy fire. Moreover, in the top configuration the caliber can be increased. True, the rate of fire will decrease slightly. It is also worth noting that, like any cruiser born in Japan, Mogami has torpedo tubes in its design, allowing it to successfully attack heavy ships.

Atago (Tier VIII) is another premium Japanese ship that combines mobility, durability and incredible combat power. This cruiser is a real gift for all fans of tactical improvisation. The versatility inherent in all ships of this class is brought to the maximum. In terms of survivability, Atago will leave any classmate behind. And its speed of 35 knots allows it to move almost on par with destroyers. Well, high-precision 203 mm caliber guns and powerful torpedo armament are the icing on the cake.

  • Destroyers

Minekaze (Level V) – it would seem that this ship is no different from the other destroyers of the Japanese line. It has the whole set of disadvantages typical for this line: thin armor, clumsy turrets, and not the largest main caliber. However, the Minekaze has several key advantages that allow it to compete for the title of one of the most popular ships in World of Warships. Thanks to his amazing speed, he becomes almost elusive to enemies. And the powerful torpedo armament turns the Minekaze into a serious opponent for all ships.

Shimakaze (X lvl) is a destroyer capable of taking first place in terms of combat power among all ships presented in the game. Its arsenal includes three five-tube TAs equipped with the legendary Long Lance torpedoes. And improved boilers with high steam output allow this destroyer to reach speeds of up to 39 knots.

  • Battleships

Ishizuchi (Level IV) – premium battleship named after the high mountain western Japan, deserves special attention due to its unique design. Five gun turrets are very conveniently located on board, ensuring accurate and effective shooting. And thanks to its lightweight armor, Ishizuchi develops an incredible speed for a battleship - up to 28 knots.

Fuso (VI level) – playing on this ship gives you the opportunity to feel the full power of Japanese battleships. It is equipped with six gun turrets containing a total of 12 cannons. With such powerful weapons combined with impenetrable armor, Fuso can fight on equal terms even with battleships superior to its level.

Yamato (Lv. X) is the largest and most impressive battleship in the history of shipbuilding. A huge advantage over its opponents is given by the most powerful artillery in the game, represented by 480-caliber guns, and the most reliable side armor, protecting the battleship from enemy attacks at long and medium distances.

  • Aircraft carriers

Zuiho (Level V) is one of the lightest ships of this class, possessing an extensive air wing and a lethal combat configuration. The weak protection of this Japanese aircraft carrier is fully compensated by its excellent performance.

Zuikaku (Tier VIII) - six aviation groups on board, atypical speed for this class and amazing maneuverability turn this aircraft carrier into the worst enemy of armored battleships. Even the most powerful air defense is sometimes unable to overcome the shock wave of Zuikaku.

USSR

The main distinguishing feature of the Soviet ship line in WoWS will be the absence of aircraft carriers. If you believe the archival data, during the stated historical period the USSR did not have ships of this class. Today, the branch of Soviet destroyers is fully implemented in the game. And among them special attention The following copies deserve:

Wrathful (V lvl) is a fast and maneuverable destroyer with almost cruising caliber. It will appeal to those who like to destroy enemy strongholds and hunt enemy cruisers. In open confrontation with identical ships of other nations, the Gnevny takes an advantageous position thanks to the presence of four 130-caliber guns on board. And in terms of speed, it is inferior, perhaps, to the nimble Japanese Minekaze.

Thundering (Level V) is a premium ship that has already won the recognition of players during the open beta test. It carries on board one of the most destructive weapons by destroyer standards: 130 mm cannons can successfully attack not only light enemy ships, but also impregnable battleships. Another undoubted advantage of the “Thundering” is the 8-kilometer torpedo range with a 7-kilometer detection range of the ship.

Kyiv (VII tier) - it is distinguished from other destroyers of the USSR branch by reinforced artillery, almost maximum speed and the presence on board of five-tube torpedo tubes. The ship is equipped with standard 130 mm guns for Soviet models. However, it is not the caliber that matters, but their number: three pairs of guns located in three turrets.

Our review will be incomplete if we ignore the most outstanding representatives of the classes of cruisers and battleships presented in the Soviet branch:

Aurora (III level) – legendary cruiser, created during the tsarist regime, fully reveals its combat potential in squadron combat. This premium ship is armed with 14 152-caliber guns, mercilessly destroying enemy destroyers and light cruisers with waves of high-explosive shells. And thanks to the increased profitability of the Aurora in loans, the owners of the cruiser can speed up their development and movement along the pumping branch.

Murmansk (Level V) is another premium Soviet ship with powerful artillery and impressive torpedo armament. High speed and maneuverability combined with a decent reserve of combat effectiveness makes players take a closer look at the Murmansk cruiser. The main disadvantages of the ship include weak armor, a vulnerable citadel and high degree visibility.

Emperor Nicholas I (IV level) - the last word in construction battleships Russian Empire. Unfortunately, the revolutionary events of 1917 did not allow this first-class battleship to enter service. However, the creators of WoWS gave him a chance to compete for the title of favorite among his “classmates.” "Emperor Nicholas I" can show itself perfectly even in confrontation with more advanced opponents due to its excellent armor and optimal location gun turrets.

Germany

The introduction of the German development branch into the game began with the appearance of a line of cruisers. According to the developers, the highlight of the ships of this nation will be the amazing survivability and rate of fire of the guns. We can judge how true these statements are based on the example of the best representatives of the German fleet available in WoWS on at the moment:

Königsberg (Level V) is one of the brightest stars of the German branch. This is a versatile cruiser that can be an ideal second-line fighter. It opens up limitless tactical potential for players due to the advantageous combination of excellent artillery and good driving characteristics. And four three-tube torpedo tubes, located on both sides of the ship, are ready to attack enemies from a distance of up to 6 km.

Admiral Hipper (Tier VIII) is a German cruiser that will give odds to many ships of this class. Its accurate and long-range guns guarantee effective shooting even at extreme distances. Admiral Hipper will not be an easy target for enemies, as its armor can withstand even very aggressive attacks. This king of distance duels will also perform well in close combat. Although its torpedo tubes are not comparable in damage to similar Japanese ones, nevertheless, their firepower is quite enough to give a worthy rebuff to the enemy.

Hindenburg (Level X) is an impressive ship with solid artillery, including 12 203 caliber guns. The main trump card of this cruiser is its amazing firing range - up to 17.8 km. Among other things, the Hindenburg is one of the most durable representatives of its class. An ingenious German armor system protects the ship in close-range battles.

In the end

It is impossible to single out the best ship from those that the World of Warships game offers us. Each class and nation has its pros and cons. And each individual player gives preference to those ships that are most harmoniously combined with his playing style. And therefore any assessment will be obviously subjective.

We hope that our recommendations will help you navigate the variety of options and identify the most preferable ones for yourself. And our article will help you increase the efficiency of the game and improve your results. That's all for today, bye everyone and see you soon.

In general, we will talk about something that will be difficult for players to find out about themselves, but we were able to find out about this ourselves by playing World of Warchip, spending several hundred hours in the game. We will tell you in detail about World of Warships and how to play cruisers.

World of warships game review and gameplay

After reading this instruction you will be able to become stronger, fight more effectively, get better preparation, so, knowing all its secrets, you can fully enjoy this game. Well, sailors, let's get on board, we're already sailing! Many people believe that aircraft carriers rule the world of warships, but in our review we will show our experience.

“What the hell kind of naval shells do you have here?”

First of all, in this game you need to understand what types of shells exist. On one ship there are only two types - armor-piercing shells and high-explosive shells. Anyone who starts playing this game for the first time wonders which shells are better. The fact is that any choice will be good, and the player first needs to understand which projectile is best suited for a particular case. Well, let's try to figure this out.

All ships have their own armor. And the thickness of this armor will determine what kind of projectile needs to be used for it. Ships of the same type, as a rule, easily cope with the armor of their kind, using an armor-piercing projectile for this, but the projectile must be fired at a right angle. This means that an armor-piercing projectile in such a situation should be used if the ship is facing you with its side. As a target, we use the citadel, which is located almost at the water level under the pipe (it is easily identified by the smoke emanating from it). If your armor-piercing shell hits the citadel (pierces it), the ship will suffer enormous damage. In addition, armor-piercing shells are often launched into the sides of ships and battleships by other ships. This projectile is the main one for a warship, since a non-reinforced ship, such as a Japanese one, its caliber can sometimes even penetrate the bow or stern.

For other situations, high-explosive shells are suitable. They cannot penetrate the armor, but they produce an explosion on the ship, causing damage to its modules, and the ship’s hull can catch fire. And fire is often even more destructive than breaking through a citadel. Landmines are used for shelling on ships that have an “inconvenient” course, and those that cannot be penetrated in any other way. For example, a ship in a normal situation will not throw armor-piercing shells at a battleship, because it is much more convenient for him to set it on fire with high-explosive shells. They are also used to fire at aircraft carriers and destroyers, since the thin lining of an armor-piercing projectile usually passes through, and a landmine, exploding inside the ship, can do a lot of damage.

To complete World of Warships, tactics and leveling up are very important.

If you can understand the mechanics of projectiles, you will already become stronger than other players who pass levels 1-6 of this game.

Three stages of the game or world of warships which ships are best to download

Leveling up in the game World of Warships conventionally has three stages. And this applies to all main branches and nations.
The first stage continues from levels 1 to 6, including the last. It doesn’t take much time to level up, and the game, on the whole, seems easy and enjoyable. Of course you understand that the most prominent ships are on the sixth level. There, the enemies are not too “angry”, and money can be accumulated quite quickly, and no special knowledge is required to complete the level. At the end of this stage, you must determine for yourself whether you enjoy playing with the vessel branch you have chosen. After this, usually, you will not find any special changes in the gameplay, and you will be able to get acquainted with the main characteristics of the ships during the passage of the 6th level, and you will not need to incur any monetary expenses or waste your time. For example, the American cruiser Cleveland has already been dubbed the demo version of Des Moines - a monster machine gun from the 10th stage. If something didn’t work out at level 6, then the situation can only get worse, it’s better to switch.

Stage number two is the most difficult. Its duration may depend on the branch from the seventh to eighth and from the ninth to tenth levels. There is a qualitative change in the game here. And this can be explained as follows. First of all, there are more “cacti” here, this name was given to WoWs ships by players who are not as good as others, which are not easy, expensive and not very comfortable to swing on.

In addition, up to the 7th level, players are selected, and only those who are determined and intend to learn all the intricacies of the game continue to fight, therefore the skills of players at this level should be higher. In addition, ships are no longer so lenient towards players’ shoals. For example, at level 8, the Japanese cruiser Mogami is beautifully armed, players have long-range torpedoes at their disposal, although you can’t envy the thickness of its sides, so if it even once turns sideways towards its enemy (to launch a torpedo, for example), the enemy will immediately send the commander such a ship to the next world, along with all the guts of its sea baby, having fired a couple of armor-piercing shells on it. This, by the way, does not allow some confident owners of Japanese ships to switch to new level, and those who manage to play on the 9th no longer show off their sides. Never.

Also, instead of the good ships that were at the sixth level, the player often receives a pitiful vessel when moving to the 8th and 9th levels (repairing the sea conqueror at some more high levels games can be quite expensive). In order not to be left in the red for silver on the 9th level ship Ibuki, you must sink at least two or three enemy ships in one battle. It’s not so comfortable here anymore compared to more low levels. But if you managed to reach the 2nd stage, then there is no need to abandon the branch you have chosen. Since then the third stage awaits you.
At stage 3 (levels nine and ten) the game becomes completely different. You already have quite a lot of skills in this game, you own the best ships in the class, there will be no one above your level in one battle, and besides, there are simply no “cacti” at level 10. Of course, monitoring the condition of such machines is not cheap, but it is also much more enjoyable to play than before. But if you got here, then you will have at your disposal, for example, the best torpedoes (like the cruiser Zao), huge guns (like the battleship Yamato) and you will be able to demolish literally everything (the aircraft carrier Midway). We are on own experience We were convinced of this by going through level after level many times.

Modifications - about legal cheats for World of Warships...

Modifications are individual preference. Each of them essentially just changes the interface or visual perception of the game. There are those that simply make some settings in the game, for example, you can choose the “Star Wars” style as a design, and there are those that allow you to change the appearance of the game, while it will look a little simpler. There are mods that can expand the viewing angle or allow you to mark on the map the location of the last position of destroyers that were only illuminated once, but disappeared in the smoke. In addition, it is possible to adjust the sight; you can also get rid of fog or see all the ships in the port.

We found the following modifications interesting - one that allows you to change the image of the award ribbon, while, for example, broken citadels will be marked with a black icon, another modification allows you to change the color of high-explosive shells, painting them orange, and armor-piercing shells can be painted in blue (this is not as useless as it might seem, because by the color you can determine which object is being used against you at the moment), another modification allows you to make the highlight icon larger, and there is also one with which you can decorate your sight with diagonal stripes to destroy ships that go at an angle, the latest modification we researched allows us to increase the volume of spray from torpedoes so that they are noticeable from a distance. Yes, how come we forgot about another one, which provides the ability to change the flag. Now you can determine the nationality of your aircraft carrier yourself.

Nobody forces you to use all modifications. The authors of the game took care of its settings and functions in advance, and they did this in order to make passing the game levels interesting. For example, if you remove the fog, the game will not look as good, and too much data on the map will probably only confuse you. But there are also useful modifications, such as marking the color of projectiles, with their help you can absolutely legally increase your strength. There is also a drawback here - after installing a new release of the game, you will be forced to update its modification. For modifications, go to the official forum of the game.

How to pump up quickly and correctly

Yes, the game is not everything. First, you should install flag signals on the ship; this can be done in the visual settings menu. These badges can be obtained for some merit. We will now look at the icon called Equal Speed Charlie London. This badge for 1 battle allows you to increase the amount of experience gained by half. Ten badges can be obtained if the damage to enemy ships is 20 percent of their strength. On a ship with enough guns and shells, achieving your goal will be easy.

You can use such badges to simultaneously enhance your daily experience, which affects your first success in battle. As a rule, this is x1.5, although from time to time on weekends in WoWs there are often x2 and x3. “Just one fight in 24 hours?”, you say. Fast leveling is different in that if you control only one ship all evening, then you will not be able to improve your skills by much. It seems much more profitable to fight several times a day, on different ships, and use flags and experience boosters as needed.

Now it’s time to consider another feature of effective pumping. It is better to swing two or three branches at the same time. So experience will accumulate in more, and if your ship faces an inevitable end at the very beginning of the battle, you can move on to a new one without waiting for the battle to end.

In addition, it is better for two or three players to participate in the game. Perhaps you have friends? Wonderful! Well, if they are not there, then you can use automatic squad selection. The main thing is that all participants play on a regular basis, and their playing time coincides with yours. You will also need to select the right link. For example, 2 cruisers will only steal frags from each other, but if you choose a battleship with a cruiser, they will make an excellent team and the capabilities of each will complement the shortcomings of their teammate. All these wisdom will allow you to upgrade the game more conveniently and quickly.

Characters and objects

After we have talked about the main points of this game, we will introduce you to the types of ships and tell you how one branch differs from another. This way you can correctly determine which ship you will use.

Japanese cruisers.

This is the main type of participants sea battle World of Warships. They have long-range torpedoes, excellent guns, and they maneuver well. The Japanese cruiser is suitable for protecting any front. They are also good at attacking the enemy. But they also have a minus - the sides are not sufficiently protected. They are the best target for any ship and battleship, which means you need to know how to play them. Although, the most important thing to remember when driving a Japanese cruiser is that you don’t need to expose the side to attack, and then everything will be as it should be.

The best of the best:
Aoba (VI): it has powerful cannons, which are located mainly on the bow, so it is very convenient to aim, as well as fire, but it is better to keep the side of such a ship under supervision.
Myoko (VII): Everything is balanced, this ship is quite powerful and easy to maneuver. He can be called one of the best representatives of naval combat.
Zao (X): Also prestigious in the game. Its torpedoes are fast, so the enemy is unlikely to remain unscathed. In addition, this ship has excellent artillery and everything needed for repairs. And its sides are more protected than those of other ships of this type.

Japanese destroyers

These conquerors of the sea wave are strong with their torpedoes. Their artillery is not very good, and their guns also do not respond very quickly to changes in position. However, it is not so easy to spot destroyers, and they launch torpedoes at such distances that the enemy is unlikely to be able to see them. They are very dangerous, and meeting them foretells a sad end. The best ones are Shimakaze (X) and Minekaze (V). The first of them launches torpedoes at a distance of up to 20 km.
Japanese battleships

Their main trump card is range, their guns are enormously powerful, and their speed is the envy of any battleship. At the very beginning, it is proposed to use two ships from this series: Kawachi (III) and Myogi (IV), and they are not the best representatives of this race, but later everything falls into place. The highest range of the Kongo (V), the enviable balance of the Fuso (VI) and Nagato (VII) are all admirable.

Here you can also find the best of the best - the ship Yamato (X). We believe he truly deserves this title. He has very powerful guns (although their rate of fire does not depend on this), he can drown anyone, he has excellent air defense, and his armor is so thick that the possibility of his citadel being broken is simply negligible. This is an unrivaled leader.

Japanese aircraft carriers

If we compare American models with Japanese ones, we can say that the latter have a larger number of aircraft links, which turns them into real fighters. Even a destroyer will not be able to escape the “torpedo claw” formation of aviation. American models have a larger number of aircraft in each squadron. These Japanese creations run fast and this allows them to get away from the danger zone at the right time. It is important that at first Japanese aircraft carriers seem to be a little more powerful than American ones (Ryujo (VI) and Hiryu (VII) are quite good), but more modern models no longer have such power.

American cruisers

Two things distinguish these vessels from their Japanese counterparts. Up to the 4th and from the 6th level they do not have torpedoes at their disposal, but their armor is quite good. The American leader Cleveland (VI) is equipped with such thick armor that not every battleship can penetrate it, but St. Louis (III) can simply be considered a king of his level. In addition, there are often quite a lot of guns that can easily destroy aquatic opponents. The lack of torpedoes, as it turned out, did not benefit the American ships; their power and flexibility decreased compared to Japanese models. In addition, on the 8th and 9th levels there are “cacti”.

American destroyers

Unlike the Japanese, torpedoes are not always so relevant here. Destroyers of American origin easily deal even with cruisers, retreating from shells flying in response, actively maneuvering at high speed. For example, Mahan (VII) is very good. However, at higher levels the number of torpedoes increases significantly, so passing by it is difficult to avoid such an attack. Although it is worth saying that their range increases only towards the end.

It is very important for a destroyer not to allow itself to be detected. Trouble appears when a destroyer shoots out of the smoke at a nearby aircraft. One thing to remember here is that if you press the “P” button, the air defense will turn off.

American battleships

As has always been the case, they look like armored colossuses, which are very, very difficult to defeat. Yes, they do not shoot particularly long distances, unlike Japanese models, their guns are somewhat smaller in size, and their speed is also not up to par. But their armor is quite reliable, with it you can be completely calm in any position. For example, you have the opportunity to approach a closer distance and defeat the enemy. The only one that stands apart is the beautiful Iowa (IX), which has all the advantages of Japanese ships and in many things stands at a higher standard than her Japanese comrades.

The best of this group:
Wyoming (IV) is a leader among battleships of its class. His accuracy in hitting targets and his ability to survive are admirable.
New Mexico (VI) is an excellent ship, also distinguished by its special survivability and accurate shooting, it also perfectly breaks the citadel of any ship of its level.
Iowa (IX) - the well-known USS MIssouri was part of the Iowa series. The best ship at level nine, which is distinguished by its accuracy and firing range. It shows excellent results when breaking through the citadel. This is simply lethal force.

American aircraft carriers

These ships are not very good for entry levels games. To pass the initial Langley (X) you will need a lot of strength. True, as we move forward, the situation improves. U American aircraft carriers a huge number of fighters that allow you to fight enemy air groups, but they do not have many torpedo bombers. But the aircraft in each link are represented in greater numbers, which makes it possible to destroy an enemy ship with just one link.

The most worthy of the American aircraft carriers is Midway (X). Not everyone will dare to fight such a colossus. If he is led by a competent captain, then he alone can sink 50 percent of the enemy’s ships. He is truly scary. In addition, if you look at the income according to the schedule, this ship allows its owner to simply swim in silver.

Premium class ships

These ships from Wargaming can be purchased for real money. In general, they are not required, such ships are certainly good, but they require certain skills in the game. To fight in the sea environment, the player must not only have a good ship, but also be prepared himself, so only training will help here. You can buy such a ship after you yourself have been able to complete several levels and try yourself as the captain of a ship of this class. Only then will you be able to see and appreciate their quality.

Like any ship, Premium class ships may have differences. Their price is justified, but it’s difficult to say for sure whether it’s worth buying other vessels. The important thing is that such ships bring a lot of income. If you accept the scheme described above with flags, then you may begin to run out of silver. Then you can earn silver on ships that are profitable in themselves, like Midway, Cleveland, Iowa, or by using one of the Premium class ships for this. We will talk about two such ships - the Tirpitz (VIII) and the Murmansk (V). These ships represent nations that have not yet been seen in the game, which undoubtedly makes them even more attractive.

The Soviet cruiser "Murmansk" is ahead of all ships at its level in terms of range; it has a spotter aircraft on board, with which you can set fire to enemy ships from very long distances. Thanks to its speed and ease of maneuvering, it easily copes with any kind of equipment at its level, even in close passages.

Tirpitz is a German-made battleship, which has fast-firing guns for its level of battleships, it is also characterized by speed, it has reliable armor and an item exclusive to this class - torpedoes. It behaves confidently at any distance from the enemy, since even destroyers are forced to reckon with torpedoes. In addition, you can earn money on it quite quickly - in one battle you can get about 550,000. All this makes it a favorite among premium boat buyers. True, it is not always possible to buy it, since apparently it is a rare product, but there are hopes that the situation will soon change.

Well, that’s probably all, because this is a huge flow of information and it still needs to be assimilated, which will take time. We are confident that the guide we have made will be beneficial to you and you will go to conquer the virtual seas, and, after the crash of another enemy ship, you may remember us.
Now you know what a real sailor should achieve in a virtual world of Warships. Now you can’t go wrong with choosing a ship, you already know how to quickly upgrade, what shells to use, what modifications of this game exist, which means you’re ready. Happy sailing!

We continue the series of articles about the 10th levels. I sorted out the destroyers, the Aviks had a comparison of branches, now it’s the turn of the cruisers.

Let me remind you that mainly the 10th levels are considered. Why? Because level 7-8 is quite easy to level up, even without a premium, while level 10 requires effort and/or donation/flags/camouflages/all together. And the 9th almost always plays with tens, there are no ranks for him, and there is no sign of it yet, so there is little point in leaving them in the port, unless, of course, it is an imba that plays better than the 10s (Fletcher or Taiho, for example).

Ships are considered based on flexibility and whether they can bring new experiences to the game.

Des Moines

Dhaka-Dhaka-Dhaka-Dhaka

Pros:

  • Huge rate of fire with 203 mm guns - 10.9 rounds per minute
  • Excellent air defense from 3-inch machine guns
  • Super-heavy BBs that ricochet less than standard BBs of other nations and have good penetration
  • Long American radar - 40 seconds at 10 km
  • 28 mm tip, allowing you to tank with a 380 mm nose (however, at levels 10 it is not so relevant)
  • Good camouflage - 13.9 km in the database

Cons:

  • All this stuff is very difficult to hit at distances above 10 km - armor-piercing ones have disgusting ballistics, and they also differ from landmines in both initial speed and mass - so the shells have quite different trajectories
  • The worst firing range of heavy cruisers of its class is 15.9 km. Even some 5s have a higher range
  • Air defense machine guns are quickly knocked out
  • No torpedoes.

Most similar ship - Cleveland/Minotaur

It would seem that there are a lot of pros and a few cons. But in fact, ballistics practically negates all this - it’s quite difficult to confidently hit 10+ km, and the enemy also has a lot of time to turn without exposing the side. And it’s not very easy to hit a destroyer, even though it has a radar. Therefore, the Des Moines, as a rule, play with invisibility and sit in ambush, waiting for a cruiser that will put them on board (and in battle there are only battleships, sadness) or try to attack from behind the island - at least here the hinged trajectory helps.

Need I say that this is not very effective?

In general, it would be better in the cruising meta, but in the world of battleships, which is still observed at 10x, it can be quite sad. Especially without torpedoes - battleships are stupidly not afraid of it.

I wouldn't recommend downloading it. Perhaps Des Moines would have been helped by the ability to choose from three types of shells - Super-heavy AP, HE and Regular AP (with ballistics like a HE, everything is realistic) - more flexibility, more ability to hit a distant target.

Hindenburg

Dhaka in German, and with torpedoes

Pros:

  • Many guns - 12
  • Powerful armor-piercing - almost 1/5 stronger in damage than Des Moines (albeit with less penetration)
  • Special land mines, with reduced damage, but a built-in inertia - land mines of German cruisers and battleships penetrate quarter-caliber armor, which allows 203-mm HE to penetrate the 50-mm decks of German battleships, Moscow and Yamata
  • Excellent air defense (55s are unhistorically cool, although semi-automatic, but that’s how they were configured)
  • Torpedoes, a lot of torpedoes, with good aiming angles
  • Armor according to the carapace (tutleback) scheme - will help in close combat against cruisers
  • German GAP

Cons:

  • Healthy - easy to get
  • Slow - 31.5 knots
  • Noticeable - 16km

The most similar ship is Chapaev with inertia/Hipper

Overall, the Hindenburg is a pretty ok cruiser. Low speed and a good start (925 m/s) dictate the fighting style - throwing from afar. Now land mines are good for this.

But in close and medium combat, he can throw bb and polish it with torpedoes.

In principle, it’s a good option for a beginner - it’s quite comfortable, and doesn’t require any special skill for decent results.

Minotaur

dakka-dakka-dakka-dakka-dakka-dakka

Pros:

  • Huge DPM
  • Excellent visa - 11.5 km in the base
  • Excellent air defense with the longest range
  • Special armor-piercing shells with reduced detonator delay
  • A special British healer with nanomachines
  • Mobility - razors quickly reach maximum speed.
  • Good maneuverability is also available
  • Smokes/radar - choose one
  • Lots of good torpedoes

Cons:

  • Large surface weakly protected citadel - there will be a lot of damage, any destroyers can attack the citadel from short distances
  • There are no land mines, which greatly reduces the scope of application - it is enough to put your nose to the minotaur so as not to receive almost any damage
  • Poor ballistics and short range - even worse than Des Moines
  • Small smokes
  • The maximum speed is insufficient for a comfortable change of positions - 33.5 knots (and with his style he needs to change positions quickly)
  • To shoot from smoke you need someone to shine
  • Air defense can also be knocked out if they shoot at you with landmines (but usually they shoot with bb)
  • No barrier
  • Henri-4 can hit the citadel in the nose

The most similar ship is Flint/Des Moines (if the Cow is in the smokeless version)/All Shaver/Gearing

The Minotaur is probably the most skill-dependent of the KR-10. Due to the lack of land mines, it is difficult to kill battleships and, in general, anything decently armored and deals acceptable damage only to those who have turned their side towards it. It consistently kills only destroyers.

What can you do with it? It is excellent at killing planes - the minotaur's umbrella can almost cover the entire flank solo due to its range. But it is not as easy for him to fight off a massive raid as for Des Moines/Hindenburg - there is no barrier. If there is no Avik or he works somewhere else, all that remains is to deal damage. Since it is difficult to damage the bows of cruisers or battleships on it, as a rule, it is worth being slightly away from the team on it in order to throw it at the enemy’s side. Either from the smoke or from behind the island - a canopy trajectory, similar to Des Moines, allows this to be done.

At the same time, we must remember that the Minotaur is very fragile and can collapse from one volley. And at level 10, many cruisers can highlight it in the smoke. You can also play in support of destroyers - inviz allows you to help your one going to the point. In general, you can do a lot of things, but it is situational and requires good map control and quick reactions. I wouldn’t recommend it to a beginner, but I would recommend it to others if they have other KR-10s.
