The role of sport in human life Prepared by T.G. Firyulyova 2018

Goals and Objectives  1. Does a person need sport?  2. How many times a week should I exercise?  3. Excessive exercise can lead to negative consequences?  4. Famous sports.  5. World records.  6. Conclusions.

Sport definition  Sport (eng. sport, desport - "game", "entertainment") - the activity of people organized according to certain rules, consisting in comparing their physical or intellectual abilities, as well as preparation for this activity and interpersonal relationships that arise in its process .  Sport is a specific kind of physical and intellectual activity performed for the purpose of competition, as well as targeted preparation for them through warm-up, training. In combination with rest, the desire to gradually improve physical health, increase the level of intelligence, obtain moral satisfaction, strive for excellence, improve personal, group and absolute records, fame, improve one's own physical capabilities and skills, sports are designed to improve the physical and mental characteristics of a person.

Do people need sports?  Sports have amazing properties. It can unite people, introduce them to each other, in most cases, sport strengthens the health, character and even mental abilities of the people who practice it, develops in them such skills as speed, agility, reaction, coordination, endurance, patience and strength. Sport makes people more resistant to negative environmental factors. It often brings people a lot of positive emotions, for example, when their favorite team wins or when a person achieves some result in it.

How many times a week should you exercise? It is impossible to say “in general” how many days exactly you need to train, for different situations this value will be different. The number of workouts per week depends on these factors: 1. The purpose of your workout Perhaps you want to exercise for health and stress relief, perhaps you want to lose weight or develop strength and muscle mass. The end determines the means. 2. From the training program (type of loads, volume of loads, intensity of loads) 3. From the degree of preparedness of the athlete and the speed of his recovery It is necessary to gradually accustom the muscles to the loads, and not try to immediately break the body. 4. From the mode of life (sleep, nutrition, etc.) The state of the nervous system and muscle recovery depend on this. As a result, sports should be given 24 days a week.

What are the dangers of excessive exercise.  It is known that excessive loads lead to accelerated aging, a decrease in the body's defenses, as well as major problems with the musculoskeletal system, in particular, due to the high risk of injury and congestion of the musculoskeletal system. Too much load on our body leads to the production of a large number of free radicals, while metabolic processes worsen. And on hot days, strenuous exercise can result in dehydration.

Famous sports We know thousands of sports, but here are a few examples: Football, basketball, volleyball, handball, cricket, golf, baseball, long jump, high jump, multi-distance running, swimming, diving, cycling, weightlifting athletics, boxing, all kinds of wrestling, rowing, polo, hockey, figure skating, speed skating, shot and javelin throw, tennis, gymnastics, horse racing, wrestling.

The term "FC" appeared at the end of the 19th century in England during the rapid development of modern sports, but did not find wide use in the West and eventually disappeared from everyday life. In Russia, on the contrary, having come into use since the beginning of the 20th century, after the revolution of 1917, the term "FK" received its recognition in all high Soviet authorities and firmly entered the scientific and practical lexicon. In 1918, the Institute of Physical Culture was opened in Moscow, in 1919 Vseobuch held a congress on physical culture, from 1922 the journal "Physical Culture" was published, and from 1925 to the present - the journal "Theory and Practice of Physical Culture". Today, a number of theorists dispute the appropriateness of using the term "FC". One of the arguments “against” is that in most countries of the world this term is not at all in the scientific lexicon (the only exception is the countries of Eastern Europe, in which the development of physical culture and sports for more than half a century was carried out in the image and likeness of the Soviet system). In this regard, leading Russian sports theorists sometimes express polar opinions about the further use of the concept of "physical culture" in science: some believe that this term should be completely replaced by the concept of "sport" accepted all over the world, while others see the scientific definition of physical fitness as a "step forward" from Western sports science

Slide 4: The current state of FC and sports Federal Law No. 329-FZ "On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation"

In accordance with paragraph 26 of Art. 2 of the Federal Law of December 04, 2007 No. 329-FZ “On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation”, physical culture is a part of the general culture, which is a set of values, norms and knowledge created and used by society for the purposes of physical and intellectual development abilities of a person, improvement of his physical activity (DA) and formation of a healthy lifestyle (HLS), social adaptation through physical education (PE), physical training (PT) and physical development (PD). The current state of FC and sports Federal Law No. 329-FZ "On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation"

Slide 5

Physical culture, being one of the facets of a person's general culture, his healthy lifestyle, largely determines a person's behavior in education, at work, in everyday life, in communication, contributes to the solution of socio-economic, educational and health problems. Concern for the development of sports and sports should be an important part of the social policy of the state, ensuring the implementation of humanistic ideals, values and norms that open up wide scope for identifying people's abilities, satisfying their interests and needs, and activating the human factor. In the field of physical culture and sports, through the diversity of its organizational forms, personal and public interests are maximally balanced and approximated, it contributes to human longevity, family unity, the formation of a healthy, moral and psychological climate in various socio-demographic groups and in the country as a whole, reducing injuries, morbidity .

Slide 6: The concept of physical culture

It is the broadest, most comprehensive and multifaceted in the area under consideration. To date, there are dozens of definitions of this concept, many of which differ significantly from each other. For a deeper and more correct understanding of the content of this concept, it is advisable to compare it with the concept of "culture". Culture is represented in the results of material and spiritual human activity. A person learns culture, fixed in spiritual and material values, acts in the social environment as a carrier of cultural values, creates new values necessary for the development of the culture of subsequent generations.

Slide 7

In this regard, physical culture should be considered as a set of organically interconnected parts, each of which has its own purpose, tasks, functions, such parts include the following: physical education, sports, physical recreation and motor rehabilitation.

Slide 8: Phenomenon: physical education

Physical education (PE) is a process aimed at educating a person, developing a person’s physical capabilities, acquiring skills and knowledge in the field of physical education in order to form a comprehensively developed and physically healthy person with a high level of physical culture (paragraph 25 of article 2 of the Federal Law) . Physical education reflects the objective need of society for the planned, systematic and purposeful physical training of the younger generations and the practical life of people. It is a necessary prerequisite for going in for sports and an indispensable condition for the formation of a person's physical culture, which includes a value orientation, organization, purposefulness in human activities.

Slide 9: Lesgaft Petr Frantsovich (1837-1909)

The founder of the scientific system of PV, Russian teacher, anatomist and doctor. Created by him in 1896, the "Courses of educators and leaders of physical education" was the first higher educational institution in Russia for the training of physical education specialists, the prototype of the modern St. Petersburg Academy of Physical Culture named after P.F. Lesgaft. It is necessary to distinguish between the terms "physical education" as professional training in special educational institutions and "physical education" in its original (according to P.F. Lesgaft) sense of physical education. In English, the term "physical education" can be used in both senses. It should also be borne in mind that the English term "physical culture" in the sense of our broad concept of "physical culture" is not in use abroad. There, depending on the specific direction of physical activity, the words “sport”, “physical education”, “physical training”, “fitness”, etc. are used.

10

slide 10

In the modern interpretation, "physical education" is a pedagogical process aimed at mastering the values of physical culture by a person in order to form a person's physical culture, that is, that side of a person's general culture that helps to realize his biological and spiritual potential. Physical education in unity with other types of education ensures the comprehensive development of the individual. Moreover, these aspects of the general process of education are to a large extent manifested in the process of physical education organized accordingly. The goal of physical education is achieved in solving interrelated health-improving, developing, educational and educational tasks, such as: strengthening health and hardening the body; harmonious development of the body and physiological functions of the body; comprehensive development of physical and mental qualities; ensuring a high level of efficiency and creative longevity.

11

Slide 11: Phenomenon: Sports

Sport is considered as an integral part of FC and provides for competitive activities, as well as preparation for it. Its development is determined by the need to have such an area of activity in which a person could show his physical abilities at the limiting levels. A person finds in sport one of the ways of self-affirmation of personality, victory over time, an opponent, over oneself. In accordance with paragraph 12 of Art. 2 of the Federal Law of December 04, 2007 No. 329-FZ “On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation”, sport is a sphere of social and cultural activity as a set of sports that has developed in the form of competitions and special practice of preparing a person for them. Thus, sport differs from PE in that it has an obligatory competitive component; if physical education creates the initial basis for the comprehensive development of physical abilities and motor skills, forms the prerequisites for their development, then sport makes it possible to fully reveal these skills.

12

slide 12

The Federal Law differentiates modern sports into 3 large categories: mass sports - a part of sports aimed at physical fitness and physical fitness of citizens through organized and (or) independent classes, as well as participation in physical culture and mass sports events; professional sports - a part of sports aimed at organizing and holding sports competitions, for participation in which and preparation for which, as their main activity, athletes receive remuneration from the organizers of such competitions and (or) wages; elite sport is a part of sports aimed at achieving high sports results by athletes at official all-Russian sports competitions and official international sports competitions.

13

Slide 13: Phenomenon: Physical Recreation

FR is understood as any form of motor activity aimed at restoring the forces expended in the process of professional work. FR is the process of using physical exercises, games, sports in simplified forms and the natural forces of nature for the purpose of active recreation, entertainment, switching to other activities, distraction from processes that cause physical, intellectual, mental fatigue, getting pleasure, enjoying physical culture. activities. At the same time, the function of optimizing (supporting) the state of the human body, its adaptation to the conditions of its natural existence was recognized as the main function of the FD. It was considered mainly within the framework of medical and biological disciplines, since the presence of the word "physical" was traditionally associated with the human body.

14

Slide 14: Phenomenon: Physical rehabilitation

FR is the use of physical exercises and natural factors for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in the complex process of restoring health, physical condition and working capacity of patients and disabled people. It is an integral part of medical rehabilitation and is used in all its periods and stages. The PR means are: therapeutic physical culture, therapeutic massage, physiotherapy, mechanotherapy, occupational therapy, etc. The purpose of the PR means, the sequence of application of its forms and methods are determined by the nature of the course of the disease, the general condition of the patient, the period and stage of rehabilitation, motor mode.

15

slide 15

The main goal of the FR is adaptation to work at the previous place of work or readaptation (re-adaptation), i.e. work with less mental and physical stress. The main objectives of the RF are: functional recovery (complete or compensation in case of insufficient or no recovery); adaptation to everyday life and work; involvement in the labor process; dispensary supervision of patients. Rehabilitation will be ineffective if its fundamental principles are not observed: the early start of rehabilitation activities. continuity of rehabilitation. complexity of rehabilitation. individual rehabilitation. the need for rehabilitation in the team. return of the patient to active work.

16

Slide 16: The active essence of physical culture in various spheres of life

The activity aspect of FC lies in the fact that physical improvement occurs only as a result of the optimal, purposeful motor activity of a person, which is carried out according to the laws of PE, i.e. according to the laws of development of strength, endurance, the laws of the formation of movement techniques, the laws of active recreation, etc. In the process of life, a person is engaged in many activities that are to some extent associated with motor activity and significant physical exertion. However, not all of them can be attributed to physical culture. Therefore, the essential core of FC can be considered only motor activity associated with the obligatory performance of physical exercises.

17

Slide 17

Unlike other types of human physical activity, physical activity has a number of fundamental features: 1. Physical activity necessarily contains a motor component, which, as a rule, is predominant in it; 2. Activities in the field of physical culture are represented by the most rational forms of motor actions, which have their own specific methods of training; 3. The physical activity of a person is always aimed at improving oneself in terms of mastering the rational technique of exercise, educating physical qualities, forming the correct posture, improving health, etc. Goals that lie outside the person himself, although they can exist and be solved in parallel, are not leading ones.

18

slide 18: movement

Some believe that a minimum of movement can be ensured by doing exercises and taking a walk before going to bed. Others, attributing this to background loads that do not change anything in essence, take daily long walking or running, classes in general developmental and athletic gymnastics, etc. as a starting point for the necessary minimum of movements. take at least 10-15 thousand steps. L.P. Matveev recommends maintaining a minimum physical activity in the daily routine of middle-aged and elderly people - at least 1 hour daily, including such forms of exercise as morning exercises, walking, jogging, etc. M.F. Grinenko and G.G. Sanoyan consider that the consumption of a person per day is 1300-2000 kcal as the optimum physical activity for workers.

19

slide 19: movement

Chelyabinsk scientist A. A. Guzhalovsky, in order to discuss the problem of optimal movements, proposed to distinguish three levels of motor activity: 1. Physical and hygienic minimum involves daily exercise, tempering procedures and a hygienic walk before bedtime. Failure to comply with this minimum threatens human health. 2. The physical culture and general training minimum includes, as a mandatory condition, the fulfillment of the physical culture and hygiene minimum, which is supplemented by a daily 30-minute (for middle-aged and elderly people) active rest with the directed use of physical exercises, if possible in the open air. 3. The physical culture and sports optimum includes the first two levels and 3-6 hours (depending on age, health status and physical fitness) of physical culture or sports activities per week.

20

Slide 20: The values of physical culture:

The value attitude of a person to physical culture must be considered as an integration of more particular relationships to various objects of physical culture, situations, events in the field of physical culture, that is, to objective and subjective forms of physical culture. The attitude of a person to any particular value of physical culture will be made up of the following components: axiological (how significant this value is for a person); intellectual (what the person knows about this value); emotional (what emotions a person experiences when mastering this value); activity (what efforts the person makes to master this value). Values of physical culture:

21

Personal physical culture is a socially determined area of a person's general culture, which is a qualitative, systemic, dynamic state characterized by a certain level of special education, physical perfection, motivational-value orientations and socio-spiritual values acquired as a result of upbringing and integrated into its physical culture. - sports activities, lifestyle culture, spirituality and psychophysical health.

Slide 24: The main provisions of the organization of physical education at the university

The content of the program of the course of physical education is determined by the requirements of the federal state educational standard (FSES) in the direction of bachelor's training and the Exemplary curriculum for universities. Physical education as an academic discipline is included in the obligatory section of the humanitarian component of the Federal State Educational Standard and is an important part of the student's professional training. Classes on PE at the university are obligatory and are aimed not only at mastering a variety of motor actions and developing basic physical qualities, but also at forming special systematized knowledge, interests, motivations, which contributes to the development of a student's need for constant physical self-improvement and self-education.

25

slide 25

The purpose of physical education of students is the formation of physical culture of the individual and the ability to use various means of physical culture, sports and tourism for the preservation and promotion of health, psychophysical training and self-training for future professional activities.

26

slide 26

To achieve this goal, it is planned to solve the following educational, developmental and health-improving tasks: to create conditions for understanding the role of physical education in the development of the individual and preparing her for professional activities; formation of a knowledge system of scientific, biological and practical foundations of FC and a healthy lifestyle; formation of a motivational and value attitude towards physical fitness, attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle, physical self-improvement and self-education, the need for regular physical exercises and sports; mastering the system of practical skills that ensure the preservation and strengthening of health, mental well-being, development and improvement of psychophysical abilities, qualities and personality traits, self-determination in physical education; providing general and professional-applied physical fitness, which determines the student's psychophysical readiness for a future profession; acquisition of experience in the creative use of physical culture and sports activities to achieve life and professional goals.

27

Slide 27

As a result of mastering the discipline, the student must: Know the basics of physical culture and understand its role in human development and specialist training. To be able to use the means of physical culture to improve their functional and motor capabilities, achieve personal life and professional goals. 3) Possess a system of practical skills that ensure the preservation and strengthening of health, the development and improvement of psychophysical abilities and qualities (with the implementation of established standards for general physical and sports and technical training).

28

Slide 28

Educational (academic) classes are the main form of physical education, including: theoretical, practical and control; elective practical classes (optional) and optional; individual and individual-group additional classes (consultations); self-study on assignment and under the supervision of the teacher. In terms of professional-applied physical training, it is planned to master the methodology for compiling morning exercises, industrial gymnastics, and individual training programs.

29

Slide 29

The control section provides operational (on the progress of students in a particular section, type of study work), current (degree of mastering a section, topic) and final (test, exam) information on the quality of mastering theoretical and methodological knowledge, on the dynamics of the physical development of students and their professional - Applied preparedness. Students are required to pass a test in physical culture, reflecting the level of their preparedness in three sections: theoretical and methodological preparedness; general physical and sports-technical readiness; formation of professionally significant skills and abilities.
