Crafts from matchboxes - for boys and girls. Dressing table from matchboxes Crafts from matchboxes furniture

Buying furniture and accessories for dolls now does not cause any difficulties - the shelves of children's stores are literally littered with toys for every taste and budget. Nevertheless, the independent production of toy accessories is an interesting and exciting activity that allows you to decorate the interior of the dollhouse to your liking. Toy furniture that we make with our own hands can be made using a variety of materials. Let's look at a few simple examples for beginners.

How to make toy furniture with your own hands from paper and cardboard

Colored paper and cardboard are the most affordable materials for co-creation with children. It is best to make paper furniture for miniature dolls and baby dolls so that it can withstand the load and does not break.

Necessary materials:
  • thick cardboard;
  • white or colored paper;
  • scissors;
  • stationery knife;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • PVA glue.
Operating procedure.

Let's try to make a toy chair and armchair according to the template below. Dimensions can be changed if necessary.

We paste colored paper on cardboard, you can use old magazines or decorative film. After the glue dries, we cut out blanks from paper glued to a cardboard base using scissors and a sharp clerical knife. We fold the blanks along the fold lines and glue them in accordance with the template. We pre-bend the central part of the chair, as shown in the figure. For this purpose, it is best to use thin and flexible cardboard that is not prone to creases.

Schemes for the manufacture of such furniture can be very different. Similarly, you can make a locker and a sofa.

Cardboard sheets can be replaced with unnecessary boxes. It is necessary to take into work only an even cardboard container without folds, dents and other defects. To make a dressing table for dolls with a mirror, you will need a small rectangular box with a hinged lid. We bend the top of the box and carefully cut it around the perimeter, giving it an oval shape. We paste over the workpiece with white or colored paper from all sides, draw doors and drawers. In the center of the upper part we glue a mirror made of foil or other reflective material.

From pieces of plastic or cardboard tubes we make legs. The lower part of the dressing table can be pre-weighted by gluing an additional layer of thick cardboard. If desired, we decorate furniture at our discretion: paint, paste decorative elements, sew pillows and bedspreads from fabric.

Let's try to make original furniture from matchboxes step by step

Matchbox furniture is perfect for miniature dolls. They are ideal for making various cabinets, desks and chests of drawers.

To make a bedside table, you will need three matchboxes and thick cardboard. We glue the boxes together and glue them with cardboard blanks, forming the body of the product. After the glue has dried, we proceed to decorate the furniture: paint the sides and top of the cabinet with black paint or paste over with black paper. We decorate the boxes with wooden toothpicks, trying to stick them as tightly as possible to each other. For these purposes, you should choose a transparent glue. We make handles from pieces of a thin plastic tube or rod. If desired, varnish the product.

Other furniture can be made from matchboxes in accordance with the figure below with assembly examples.

Finished furniture can not be decorated if clean boxes are used without stickers, dents, scratches and other defects. It is advisable to carefully clean the spread from the sides.

Plywood furniture.

Plywood products are stronger and more durable than those made from paper or cardboard. They can be used to play with large and heavy dolls. To make a toy crib, we build a pattern of the appropriate size on paper.

We transfer the stencil to a sheet of plywood. We combine the resulting parts with each other, insert the bottom of the crib into the slot of the large back. We glue the back of the bed of a smaller size with Moment glue. If desired, we glue the legs from improvised materials, paint and decorate the crib, sew bedding.

Wooden furniture.

Even those craftswomen who do not have the skills to work with wood can make simple wooden doll furniture. This will require small cuts, twigs or chips. Previously, each element must be carefully sanded to correct its shape and remove irregularities. It is not necessary to remove the bark.

To make a table and chairs, as in the photo above, we glue all the elements together. We cut thick rods into small pieces, glue the legs to the furniture. We make armrests from thin flexible branches. When the glue dries, cover the products with a transparent varnish in 1-2 layers, but this is not necessary. Similarly, any other furniture and accessories for dolls and baby dolls can be made from wood.

Every parent tries to give the baby the best: interesting educational toys designed specifically for children's needs. And the kids will definitely love it!

But is the finished toy always beneficial to the child? Many of us have observed how modern children have a moment of “satiation” with blessings. Then they simply lose interest in toys: there are too many of them. Often, when meeting, children do not come up with joint games, but simply engage in “sorting out” toys - they only have time to get acquainted with the toys at a party, but not to play.

And parents only shrug their hands: we would have such toys in our childhood! What did we play, remember? We made furniture for dolls from matchboxes, cardboard houses; grass and fruits in the yard were the most varied food: yellow dandelions - eggs, dandelion leaves - cucumbers, acorns - zucchini, chestnuts - pumpkins, "helicopter noses" - bananas, leaves were banknotes. Yes, and the houses themselves, the store, the hospital, we sometimes arranged on a tree. Was it interesting? Of course!!! After all, we ourselves invented all this, and in the country of children's fantasies, attributes are not so important. No wonder they say that before, to become a princess, it was enough just to put tights on your head. But with our children, for some reason, we go the other way, taking away the opportunity to experiment and invent.

The fact is that the mass of ready-made toys interferes with the flight of children's imagination. Who can prove that beautiful plastic vegetables and fruits are better than our children's dandelions? For children, the process of playing and inventing is important, and not the result - a specific object - a toy.

The Maternity.ru portal offers to plunge into the world of forgotten crafts from matchboxes. We will show you how you can build military equipment, furniture for dolls, fairy-tale characters and animals, interesting details from them.

Military equipment

On the eve of the holiday on February 23, we will first of all talk about models of military equipment. They can be presented to dad, grandfathers, taken to kindergarten and school, used to play at home.

See what theater of war your son or grandson can play. With the independent production of such toys, the child develops fine motor skills of the hands, perseverance and the desire to achieve the goal, the child develops interest and motivation, he gains self-confidence from the fact that he himself can do all this. Let's not deprive our children of this, shall we?

Special equipment

Various cars can be made from this wonderful improvised material. For example, an ambulance, a fire truck, a bus, a taxi, a traffic police car.

With such crafts, you can participate in various competitions.

Heroes of fairy tales, animals

Using colored paper, glue, matchboxes, you can make heroes of your favorite fairy tale or cartoon. Look at the heroes of which fairy tale are shown in the photo?

Wonderful African animals and our native Cheburashka are also made from matchboxes.

Young children love small toys and interesting attributes to them. Inside a matchbox, a whole house for an unusual animal may well be located. You can put it in your pocket and take it everywhere with you.

Educational games from matchboxes

On the basis of matchboxes, you can make games for the development of the child.

It can be an association game, learning letters and numbers, and so on. Make thematic images: who lives where; who eats what.

Matchbox toy furniture

Matchboxes are the basis for making toy furniture, and then it all depends on your imagination and decor material.
The furniture assembly scheme looks like this:

You can decorate furniture in your own way: with colored paper, fabric, toothpicks, wallpaper and self-adhesive film, using decoupage technique.

With the help of matchboxes, you can also make unusual interior items: a TV, a washing machine, a piano, a suitcase, a frame for photographs or paintings in a doll house.

Once again, we emphasize that everything ingenious is quite simple. And the interesting new is the well-forgotten old. Now you will most likely not throw out matchboxes and miss out on the material for a wide variety of creative designs!

House is built. It does not matter at all whether it is big or small, made of brick or cardboard, Barbie or Snow White with the gnomes will live in it. In any case, he needs an interior, furniture and necessary accessories. In toy stores today you can buy everything. But as you know, the most fashionable things are exclusive, made in a single copy, handmade things. Therefore, we roll up our sleeves and begin work on making doll furniture with our own hands.

Making a real chair for Barbie

In the toy market, working miniature models of real human household items: cars, planes, clothes, etc. are most valued. The smaller the models, the harder they are to make. Let's try to create a similar exclusive piece of furniture.

To make doll upholstered furniture, you need to prepare:

  • thick cardboard 1-1.5 mm thick;
  • plain paper;
  • foam board (thickness 0.5 cm) or corrugated cardboard (thickness 0.3 cm);
  • a tube with a diameter of 1.5-2.5 cm from any material. You can use an old marker or a cardboard tube from under the threads;
  • fleece or thin foam rubber 0.3-0.8 cm thick;
  • upholstery fabric. It is better to choose chintz or staple, so that it is better saturated with glue;
  • PVA glue and "moment";
  • scissors, knife;
  • ruler, pencil.

Making a real chair step by step

  • Make drawings of parts on paper and cut them out.
  • Cut out the details of the chair according to the drawings. Glue four rectangles of foam board or six of corrugated cardboard together. This will be the base of the chair, the seat. Then glue the back and front of the chair, cut out of thick cardboard. Attach the armrest tubes. Further, after pasting them with paper, they will hold well, but for now they can be slightly “basted” with pieces of adhesive tape.

  • Cut out several strips of corrugated cardboard 1 cm wide and equal to the length of the tubes, and put them in a pile under the roller, smearing the layer with glue. Determine the number of layers locally. Paste over the armrest first with thin paper, and then with fleece or foam rubber.

  • Cover the chair with fabric. To do this, cut out pieces of material according to the same drawings, but adding a little (1-1.5 cm) in length and width for the fold.

  • Cover the back (removable) for the chair first with foam rubber on one side, and then with a cloth on all sides.

  • Set the back in the chair. It can be glued to a stationary back, or it can be left collapsible.

  • Do the pillow on the chair in the same way as the back.

  • This is how the royal chair for your favorite doll turned out.

The manufacturing technique of this upholstered furniture is similar to the scheme described above, only this chair is not a real model, and therefore the base for it is easier to perform. It consists of a piece of foam rubber, cut according to patterns, 1-2 cm thick and a small box. These parts also need to be pasted over with a beautiful fabric, and then connected.

From a rectangular piece of foam rubber that matches the size of the box, cut out a pillow and drape it with a cloth. If there is a sufficiently long and narrow box, then you can get a chic sofa for a doll.

The desire to make furniture for very often stops the lack of materials. Of course, few people have furniture boards, wooden blocks and springs in the apartment. However, miniature furniture does not require such real details. Half-liter plastic bottles are in any home and can be used not only as containers.

If they are cut in a certain way, they can turn out to be beyond the original chairs. In order to give them a presentable look, you can sheathe or glue the edges of the plastic with a beautiful braid. Next, you need to sew two pillows with your own and fill them with some kind of filler. One of them will be the seat and the other the back.

To complete this work, we need a cardboard tube, which remains from a roll of toilet paper. The manufacturing scheme is the same as in the previous version, only in this case we will not be able to make armrests. Therefore, miniature furniture will be more like an ottoman with a back.

Cut out the desired shape from the tube and paste over it with a cloth. Make a bag, stuff it with filler and put it inside the tubes to make a seat.

Bed for doll baby

Barbie or Monster High are grown girls, so it makes sense that they might have a little baby. It also needs some furniture. For example, a crib.

There is a very simple option for making a cradle for a little Baby - a bed made of matchboxes. For the backs, you can use popsicle sticks. Glue the two boxes together and cover with colored paper. Glue the sticks and paint them. The bed is ready.

Matchboxes are an excellent building material for dollhouse furniture. These are ready made drawers. You can make a whole kitchen set out of them.

  1. Take 9 boxes and fold them into three rows, gluing them together.
  2. Tape around the perimeter with colored paper tape.
  3. Make staples at the ends of the "boxes" with a stapler. These will be the handles.
  4. Make hanging cabinets from three boxes.
  5. Glue two pieces in each box.
  6. Paint or cover them with colored paper.
  7. Cut the top of the box down the middle. These will be the doors. Handles on them can be drawn with a felt-tip pen or glued on a grain of rice.

From matchboxes you can construct a wonderful chest of drawers. For this we need:

  • 4 matchboxes;
  • 4 beads for legs and 4 for handles;
  • thin fabric or colored paper;
  • beautiful braid;
  • glue, paint.

Paint all boxes inside and out with a solid color paint. Glue them together and wrap with cloth or paper. Glue a braid along the contour, 4 bead legs on the bottom, and bead handles on each box.

Note

1. Organizational moment

Hello guys. I'm very glad to see you.Let's go to our field. Now let's hold handsand say the poem:

Here we are, and you, and me.

We are a family!

Smile to the one on the left.

Smile to the one on the right.

We are a family!

Students greet

2. Updating knowledge

Have a seat guys. What is this poem about? (About family). What do you understand by the word "family"? (This is the most precious thing a person has, this is a place where peace, love, friendship, care for each other reign. This is mom, dad, brother, sister and me.) Well done guys. Now think and tell me, where does the family live? (In the house.)

You know, guys, today the postman brought a letter to our school. Let's see what's in it. (The teacher reads the letter) - “Hello guys, my name is Bunny-Know-it-all, I really like to guess riddles and therefore I have prepared them for you, if you solve it, then a surprise awaits you” Well, guys, let's try? (The teacher makes riddles)

Here's a big noisy world

It has four hundred apartments,

Five entrances, intercoms,

Glazed balconies.

(House)

There is a piercing whistle

Kettle early in the morning.

The refrigerator is here

Sink with faucet.

(Kitchen)

This room has a sofa

Soft like dandelion.

Dreams fly here at night

In the yellow rays of the moon.

(Bedroom)

There are no windows in it, only doors

Kitchen, bedroom, toilet.

Animals love to run around here -

Dog Barbos and cat Roulet.

(The corridor)

It's good when he is

Lie on it and sit on it.

He is given to us for rest,

Soft plush.

(Sofa)

He stands in the corner against the wall.

Oh he looks big

But he is not punished at all.

Mom keeps things in it.

(Cupboard)

He has four legs

Looks a bit like a horse

But it doesn't jump anywhere.

And plates, cups, spoons,

And great food

On his broad back

They settled in without difficulty.

(Table)

I stand on four legs

I can't walk at all.

When you get tired of walking

You can sit down and rest.

(Chair)

Answer questions, solve riddles

Displaying a letter from the Know-It-All Bunny

3. Repetition of the material covered

Well done guys solved all the riddles! (The Know-It-All Bunny appears)

And here I am, Bunny-Know-it-all, I came to play with you. Shall we build a house?

Hot time at the construction site

The signal has already broken

Today the bricklayer in the morning

Started work

Grows floor by floor

And every hour every day

Higher, higher new house!

Guys, before we get to work, we need to remember the safety precautions.

Tell TB

4. Learning new material

We already have a house (“we built it” in the previous lesson), let's start furnishing it with furniture. We have magic boxes. Let's sit down at the tables and think about what can be done from them? (bed, chair, table, wardrobe, chest of drawers). Well done guys, look, and this is exactly what you were talking about. (The teacher shows furniture made from matchboxes: a table, a chair, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a bed, a sofa). Now we will make furniture from matchboxes. Before we get started, prepare your fingers.

PHYSMINUTKA

One, two, three, four (clap hands)

Who lives in my apartment? (shrugs)

One, two, three, four, five (clap hands)

Dad, mom, brother, sister, (bend one finger on both hands for each word)

My Puppy-Friend and I, (“I” point to themselves with both hands)

That's my whole family. (clench and unclench fists)

Well, now sit down and get to work. Choose a piece of furniture for example - a chair. We take a matchbox and a colored strip of paper, then apply glue to the colored strip and glue the matchbox with colored paper. One part of the chair is already ready. Guys, look carefully at the chair, how many matchboxes do you need? (four). That's right, 4. We do the same with the next three boxes. Now guys we need to glue them together. Gently apply glue to the side of the box and glue another box to it. Now our chair needs armrests, we carefully apply glue to the side parts of our workpiece and glue the 2 remaining boxes to it. Here is our chair.

Practical activities of children

5. Consolidation of the studied material

Guys, if you wish, you can make one more piece of furniture.

Independent work

Children look at how other furniture is made. If necessary, contact the teacher

6. Final. Reflection.

Know-It-All Bunny (soft toy). And here is another surprise for you from me (takes out a large carrot, inside of which is a small toy - Bear). Well, the guys have all made furniture, then I ask you to come up and furnish the house with your furniture. How well the work was done. What colorful furniture turned out.

I liked the job... (Children evaluate themselves.)

How beautiful it turned out, look how cozy it became in the house with your furniture. For your labors and efforts, I leave Mishutka to live in your house. It's winter outside, he needs to spend the winter somewhere, and you have such a warm house. Do you mind? (The bunny leaves the Bear on the couch, then says goodbye). Goodbye!

Children evaluate themselves.

The students say goodbye.
