Part 1 discusses 7 topics of the course: society, people, culture, social relations, politics, law. The tasks are grouped into six blocks-modules.

Tasks 2 and 3 are aimed at identifying the level of mastery of a certain group of skills.

The book is aimed at all categories of students who have chosen to take the social studies exam in the OGE format.

Social studies consistently leads among the subjects that Russian schoolchildren choose for passing the Unified State Exam. However training course It can't be called easy at all. After all, it includes a complex scientific knowledge in sociology, political science, social psychology and philosophy. Social studies teacher Roman Mosin talks about the features of the exam and gives recommendations for preparation.

For those preparing for the main school exam

CMM (testing and measuring materials) in social studies includes questions from school course, which takes place from 5th to 11th grade. And this course is certainly overloaded with information, so it is important to understand what exactly you need to prepare for and what literature can help.

To prepare for the exam, you need a regular school textbook. However, it must be remembered that the Unified State Exam in social studies determines not only the knowledge of the basic course, but also reveals the skills acquired by the student during the entire period of study.

Each version of the examination paper consists of two parts and includes 29 tasks - different in form and level of complexity. Each ticket contains the following types of tasks with a short answer:

  • choice tasks - in each of them you can choose several correct answers;
  • task to identify the structural elements of concepts using tables;
  • task to establish the correspondence of positions that are presented in two sets (tables, diagrams, graphs);
  • task to define terms and concepts.

Part 1

The first part of the exam contains 20 short answer questions. To complete these tasks, you need to know the basic facts, phenomena, processes and be able to characterize them with scientific point vision. The same tasks test skills in working with texts, diagrams, tables, diagrams (searching for the necessary information), the ability to analyze, systematize and summarize scattered information.

Important: in the tasks of the first part, out of six possible answers, two or three may be correct.

Part 2

The second part contains nine tasks, and they already require a detailed answer. In general, these are the basic social sciences that form the social science course in high school: social philosophy, economics, sociology, political science, social psychology, and jurisprudence.

The tasks reveal skills in working with information: search, analysis, application in the conditions of a specific task. As well as the ability to work with text, find the main idea and the author’s position, the ability to formulate one’s opinion and argue for it, the ability to draw up a plan for a detailed answer.

Essay

For an essay you need to choose one of five proposed topics. Topics are set in the form of brief statements by representatives of social thought, politicians, scientists and cultural figures. Sometimes these statements are of an aphoristic nature.

Each topic-statement is conditionally correlated with one of the basic sciences of the social science course (topics in sociology and social psychology are combined into common block). But graduates have the right to disclose it in the context of any social science or several sciences. This task tests a wide range of skills - to reveal the meaning of the author’s judgment, to draw on the studied theoretical principles of the social sciences, to independently formulate and specify their reasoning with examples, and to draw conclusions.

  1. Do trial version and identify weak points.
  2. Learn basic terms, concepts and definitions.
  3. To prepare, use textbooks (school textbooks, manuals for applicants, collections of diagrams and tables), which will be discussed below.
  4. Properly allocate time to complete tasks.
  5. This rule follows from the previous one. Do the tasks that don't cause you confusion first. You will return to complex questions later.
  6. Read the question carefully to the end and answer it exactly. Mistakes mainly happen precisely because of inattention or misunderstanding of the issue.
  7. When completing tasks with diagrams, tables, diagrams and text, carefully study the information material and only then proceed to complete it.
  8. When answering the questions in the second part, try to answer the question posed especially clearly and ensure that the wording is correct.
  9. In your essay, show the maximum of your knowledge and skills. It is very important how well you know the personalities from the social science course, how well you know how to convincingly prove your point of view and use cause-and-effect relationships.
  10. Start preparing early. If you do everything at the last moment, it’s easy to mix up a lot of things - as already mentioned, the social studies course is overloaded with information.

Literature to help

None of the manuals fully covers all the issues of the course; each author interprets the subject from the perspective of his own science. Therefore, ideally you need to read all the literature on the list. Then you can easily qualify for the highest score.

  1. Social studies: Textbook, Arbuzkin A.M., 4th ed., revised. and additional 2011.

Let's talk about what textbooks The best for preparing for the Unified State Exam in social studies.

The first thing I would like to note is that one or even two textbooks for high-quality preparation for the Unified State Exam in social studies not enough . At a minimum you need a kit. And in first place I would like to put not those thick manuals that are mass-produced by our publishing houses, but school books. Why? Because they comply with the state educational standard, on the basis of which all examination tasks are compiled. Therefore, first of all, you need to prepare using textbooks, and then everything else.

Now it's time to briefly review all the school textbooks. Actually, there are two sets of them.

Value This set is that it is copyrighted, and therefore all paragraphs are written in the same style, which improves its memorization. Presentation style in all four The textbooks are very accessible and sometimes fascinating. Textbooks are accompanied by diagrams and illustrations. The required places are highlighted. There is a complete glossary at the end of each book.

Cons: There are many topics and concepts that are not so necessary for the Unified State Exam. Not every student will understand what needs to be studied here and what is not necessary.

The basic set is quite suitable for passing society with 50-60 points.

In this textbook, different paragraphs are written by different authors. Which makes it difficult to study. Also, some paragraphs are presented in an interesting and accessible way, while others are impossible to read. The text is continuous everywhere. Nothing stands out. There are few diagrams and tables. Nevertheless, two textbooks completely cover all the material on social studies. And there are things that are missing in the profile kit.

Profile kit.

All the shortcomings that are in the basic set remain in the profile set. Also a lot of water, complex scientific academic text, etc. But it fully complies with the state educational standard. And now about the main drawback of this kit. It lacks sections: ECONOMY And RIGHT. This is because it is understood that students who study using this textbook take these sections as independent courses. Therefore, when choosing this preparation kit, you MUST add textbooks on law and economics to it.

By law, I recommend the textbook “LAW. Fundamentals of legal culture.” Author E.A. Pevtsova. Includes four textbooks. Two parts – 10th grade. Two parts – 11th grade. Good easy language. All the main places are highlighted. Lots of examples. Lots of diagrams and tables.

Bogolyubov's kit is also quite good. And the language is good. Both tables and diagrams are present.

Now about ECONOMY. In Bogolyubov's basic textbook for grade 11 the first section is devoted to economics. And by the way, a very good section. It's quite possible to get by with them. All topics are covered, all concepts are explained well. If this is not enough, then you can add specialized textbooks by Lipsits and Avtonomov.

Whoever owns the information owns the world.

Mayer Amschel Rothschild

It is with these words that I would like to begin, since in modern society information is not only information or a system of knowledge, but a subject of market relations. When receiving an education, a person accumulates a certain set of knowledge, which he uses throughout his life to varying degrees. Modern education standards are set high level knowledge that a person should receive when leaving school. So that you can prepare to take the Unified State Exam in social studies, you need to decide on a list of references that will help you systematize your knowledge in this course and form the right direction of thinking when answering questions. Let's start from simple to complex.

The most popular and accessible source of theoretical preparation is “Social Studies: A Complete Guide for Preparation for the Unified State Exam” authored by P.A. Baranova, A.V. Vorontsov and S.V. Shevchenko, since it is structured into areas (sections), each of which has a specific set of topics containing basic concepts and definitions that help in solving tasks of parts A and B, when the right decision which you can score points to overcome the established threshold. As for part C, difficulties arise here. This guide has practical significance, With summary information in a systematic form, and the task of part C requires a more spectral and expanded knowledge and opinion of the examinee, in this case the Social Science textbooks for grades 10 and 11 (basic and specialized level) L.N. will come to your aid. Bogolyubova. I cannot but agree that these textbooks are voluminous and in some moments difficult to understand without the help of a teacher (tutor and teacher), but with the right approach this ideal option to solve part C tasks.
Textbooks on Social Studies by A.I. are also in great demand. Kravchenko, but here you are faced with the problem of the irrelevance of certain topics, which leads to confusion for the reader, and I recommend it only to those who have the ability to filter information. The most voluminous and complex, but at the same time the most scientifically developed and meaningful, is considered training manual in Social Sciences, edited by Doctor of Law, Professor M.N. Marchenko, which will significantly increase your level of training.
When preparing, also use various dictionaries, but rely on the above mentioned literature sources, as well as materials containing diagrams and tables that allow you to visualize the information received, or compile them yourself. I remind you of the need to use a codifier when preparing.

And so, speaking about information, I am talking about the basis of knowledge you have accumulated through studying literature, which helps you pass the exam with 100 points, which in the future can affect not only your life, but also the lives of the people around you.
