The better and more beautiful the device, the more expensive it is. Therefore, many craftsmen decide to make lamps from pipes with their own hands. There is nothing complicated in such a process: having simple details available, you can make a unique design. With particular ease, plumbers can make such devices.

We collect a chandelier from pipes

Ordinary chandeliers are chosen as the main source of light in the living rooms, in the kitchen and in the bedroom. To diversify the design of the room and stand out against the background of acquaintances and friends, a device made from improvised materials will help.

To assemble a lamp from polypropylene pipes and fittings, you will need the following components:

• a ceiling lamp with a grate from an industrial lamp;
• two pieces of plastic pipes;
• the wire;
• plumbing tee and corner;
• two flanges, the same size as the cartridge;
• wooden block or other base;
• paint can;
• paper;
• screwdriver and screws.

First, disassemble the ceiling by removing the grille and cartridge, if a lamp with a grille looks good in your interior, then leave it. Screw the metal flange on the outside of the cartridge. Be careful not to damage the wires.

Screw the plastic pipe to the metal flange, then successively attach the elbow, then another piece of pipe, a tee, and finally finish again with a flange. With each new part, do not forget to stretch the wire.

Make several of these structures, and after everything is ready, they can be screwed to a wooden base. Don't forget to run out and connect the cables to the central system. The finished product can be painted in any color so that it fits the interior of the room. Don't forget to lay down some paper before doing this so you don't stain the floor. Screw in the lamp and, by clicking the switch, check the operation of the lamp made of PVC pipes.

By excluding the corners from the design and lengthening the plastic pipe, you can make a floor lamp. The main thing is to prepare a stable foundation.

Wall lamp made of flexible metal-plastic

You can independently assemble wall lamps from water pipes with rotary lamps. To change the angle of incidence of light, it will be enough to turn the lighting device in the desired direction. During work you will need:

• flexible plastic pipes 20-50 cm long;
• solid birch, pine or thick plywood for the base;
• electric wire;
• cartridge and lamps;
• jigsaw;
• screwdriver and screws;
• spray paint and paper;
• sealant.

At the base we make holes that match the diameter of the pipe. From a small bar, cut out a place for attaching a cartridge, do not forget that a metal-plastic case will be supplied from the reverse side. Pull the wire through the flexible base and solid wood or plywood.

We insert the metal-plastic pipe into the base and fix it with screws or glue. We fix the cartridge in the prepared bar, and isolate the circuit with sealant. We paint the finished structure from plastic pipes in a pre-selected color and after drying we hang it on the wall.

You can make or buy a beautiful floor lamp for the cartridge - then the pipe lamp will look more attractive.

Table lamp made of muffs

Let's go back to the loft style, only now let's make a table lamp with one light source. It is suitable for home office or office. Depending on the chosen light source, such a product will help either focus or relax.

Necessary tools and materials:

• long and short nipple;
• fitting (six metal corners and three tees);
• six small nipples that will connect the corners;
• drill with a drill for metal;
• wire with plug and switch;
• glue;
• insulating tape.

Prepare metal parts by first cleaning them of grease stains with white spirit. Since the rein will need to be threaded through narrow holes, cut out the derailleur. Screw the lamp into the socket and insert it into the first square, before that, stretching the wire through the part. Fix the lighting device in the design position with glue.

In one of the tees, make a hole for the cable outlet. In order not to be mistaken with the place of drilling, imagine how the lamp will stand.

We fasten small nipples to the central tee with a hole. We connect tees with nipples and corners on the sides to them. This will be the base of the product. We fasten the corner in which the cartridge with the lamp stands to the long nipple, then comes the corner and the short nipple. We connect the two parts of the lamp together. Do not forget to stretch the wire in advance. Insert the switch back and test the table lamp.

Such lighting devices from parts of the pipeline will show guests and relatives your resourcefulness. Seeing the finished result, you will experience great joy and a sense of pride. DIY lamps will last a long time and will never go out of style.

Not every connoisseur of the loft style can afford to live in a real former workshop - if only because there are not enough abandoned factories for everyone. But the decor in the industrial style is quite affordable. Moreover, you can make it yourself.

To write today's material, we went to a recent conference in Moscow loft picnic Palleto and under the supervision of the masters from The Sarai, they assembled their first lamp from pipes and cut wood. We share with you the subtleties and secrets!

You will need:

• Fittings for cast iron or steel pipes: couplings, tees, spurs, barrels, angles (including adapters), threaded flange.
• Cartridge with thread and wiring.
• Wire with plug and switch.
• Heat-shrink tubing.
• Drill with conventional and feather drills.
• Self-tapping screws.
• Decorative light bulb.
• Wood cut.

Step 1

Pick up everything you need for the rack. Make sure that the parts match the thread. Mandatory elements: a flange to screw the structure to the saw, and a transitional corner, into the wide part of which you insert the cartridge (we, however, used a coupling).

Step 2

When all the parts are found, go in search of a suitable cartridge with wiring. Ideally, the cartridge should be threaded to match the angle/coupling, but you can also take a smooth one if it fits tightly enough into the cavity.

Step 3

Prepare the base: drill holes for the wire in the saw cut (as in the photo): expand the vertical bottom with a pen drill and make a horizontal exit. Pull the wire through the holes.

Step 4

Start assembling the lamp stand. Pull the wire with the switch from the side of the base, and the wiring from the cartridge from the opposite side. Connect the wires and finally twist all the details.

Important!Since the lamp is metal, the wires must be connected and insulated as reliably as possible. Instead of traditional electrical tape, use heat shrink tubing: first fasten each of the two wires with it, then insulate them together again. The tube is seated with a hot air gun, but at home you can try to get by with a lighter.

Step 5

Put the lamp stand on the cut and mark where it will be attached to the screws. Use a thin drill to make holes in these places. Using a screwdriver or screwdriver, screw the pipe structure to the saw cut.

Author's lighting fixtures are sold at a fabulous price. In fact, making a lamp out of pipes on your own is not a problem. This does not require the purchase of expensive materials or in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering. Consider several options for home-made lighting elements from scraps of various pipes.

Desk lamp

The original lamp made of pipes will bring zest. The design can be assembled from scraps available on the farm or you can buy material at a hardware store. After purchasing all the materials, it will take no more than an hour to collect the lamp.

Among the necessary components:

• Long and short nipple.
• Six elbows for pipes.
• The same number of small nipples that serve as corner clamps.
• Three destinations.
• Drill.
• Wire with switch and plug.
• Insulating tape.
• Hot glue.

First, all pipes are treated with a solvent, the stickers are removed. The light element is inserted into the socket, after which the wire is pulled through the square. The lamp holder is fixed with glue. The design is processed carefully so as not to affect the thread, after which it is left until the adhesive composition dries.

Main stages of work

The subsequent assembly of the lamp from pipes is carried out in the following sequence:

• A hole is prepared in the tee for the wire on the reverse side using an electric drill.
• Pipes are assembled along the threads by using nipples.
• 4 corners are taken as the base, three tees are twisted with each other, the regular hole is directed upwards, and the homemade socket is directed to the lower invisible part.
• Two interconnected nipples will serve as a holder.
• The cable without a switch is pulled through the pipes.
• The switch is assembled and connected.
• The functionality of the pipe assembled is checked.

This design is easy to fix if you are not satisfied with the resulting design. The result is an excellent and inexpensive night light or work desk lamp.

wall variant

A lamp made of pipes, the photo of which is given above, is made as follows:

• The grate is removed from the old street-type lamp. If it fits into the interior, this is not necessary.
• A pipeline flange is attached to the cartridge, which will serve as a base fixed on the wall.
• Then it is connected to a tee, a nipple and a corner. Another flange is attached, then the wiring is pulled through the pipes.
• Lamp height is adjustable.
• The lamp is connected to the cartridge, and the switch is mounted.
• The flange is attached to the wall with screws, the operation of the device is checked.

The operation will require the following materials:

• Luminaire with or without grille.
• A pair of black plumbing nipples.
• Cable.
• Two metal flanges, the diameter of which matches the size of the cartridge.
• Screwdriver and fixing screws.

Loft lamps made of pipes with a concrete base

The ceiling is made from several wooden hoops for embroidery and watercolor paper. The whole process is divided into the preparation of the mold, the manufacture of the concrete base, the connection of the wiring, the assembly and fixation of the pipes, as well as the arrangement of the lampshade. The container for pouring can be taken from plastic, its dimensions must be sufficient to withstand the weight of the entire structure.

Initial stages:

1. Using a knife, make a hole for the cable.
2. The wire for reinforcement is placed in a container.
3. The cord is threaded through the pipes with the necessary margin.
4. Marking tape is used to mark the exit of wires from the solution.

The cord must enter the cement mixture at the point of connection to the switch, then be fed through the middle part of the pipe flange, in which a hole is provided.

Final part

Further manufacturing of a lamp from water pipes is divided into several stages:

• A cement mortar is made, which is poured into the prepared form.
• The switch is fixed flush with the surface. Pay attention that it does not drown in the mixture.
• Mount the flange on top of the mortar, thread four fixing screws through the holes.
• After preparing the base, the wires are threaded through the pipes, attaching them to the flange.
• Next, the free edge of the cables is pulled to the cartridge, after which the latter is attached inside the pipe.
• The light bulb is screwed in, the switch is connected and turned over.
• A low wattage lamp can be left open.
• For a powerful light element, you will need to build a ceiling. To do this, take two hoops and watercolor paper, the seam is treated with wood glue.
• This design allows you to choose any color and used fabric coating.
• The finished lampshade is fastened with small screws that are screwed into the inside of the hoop from above, or a thin wire fixed on an additional pipe flange.

LED lamp

The PVC pipe is optimally suited for this device. It is worth noting that this option is equipped with autonomous power supply. The design of the lamp is as simple as possible, anyone can assemble it with a minimum of tools and materials. You will need several pieces of larger pipe for the base, including elbows and fittings, and a smaller diameter PVC pipe for the rack. The system uses a resistor with a power of at least 1 watt. This indicator is designed for 6 LEDs.

The circuit is connected in the standard way. It is recommended to use type. This will allow you to quickly make a nest for it in the pipe and will not require cutting out additional elements in the form of a rectangle for the slide switch. In addition, the switch must not be instantaneous, otherwise you will have to constantly hold the button to operate the device. The lamp made of PVC pipes is equipped with a lampshade. Its painting is carried out in several layers. Otherwise, when the diodes are on, streaks or uneven processing will be visible. A battery of suitable capacity is mounted at a distance of 80 millimeters from the edge of the pipe at the base. You can also adjust the switch there. The main thing is that these details do not interfere with each other.

Loft chandelier made of pipes

Modern trends in the organization of lighting often require taking into account not only the efficiency of lamp elements, but also the chandeliers themselves. They can be created independently from improvised materials, while obtaining an original and inexpensive design. For example, it is available to make a ceiling lamp from plastic pipes. This will require the following components:

• Ceiling type socket.
• 12 branches for cartridges and light bulbs.
• Polymer water pipes.
• 12 small lamps.
• A can of special paint.
• Paper.
• Ceiling socket.

The work begins with the development of a chandelier model and the connection of the branches to each other. You can create both a symmetrical design and an original author's model (it all depends on your imagination). Next, lay out the paper on which the coloring process will take place. Perform painting on all sides and leave the lamp to dry. The ceiling rosette is painted on the visible side. If necessary, spraying on the chandelier can be re-applied. Then it remains only to connect the structure to the ceiling with screws and a flange, and also screw in the lamps. Check the design and enjoy the unique product. Adjustable table lamp: the initial manufacturing process

This do-it-yourself lamp made of pipes is different in that it can be adjusted in reach and height. Many spare parts are available to find at home, so it's also profitable, as well as out of the box.

Materials used:

• Bicycle Star.
• A pair of metal pipes with a half-inch thread (length - 450 mm).
• Flange.
• Fitting.
• Two knees at 45 and 90 degrees.
• Two ¾ copper tubes.
• Socket.
• Polymer sleeve.
• Electrical cable.

The asterisk from the bicycle will serve as the basis. Holes for the flange are drilled in its center, after which it is painted. Then an iron pipe is screwed into the flange. The upper part of the element is attached to the base of the lamp, and the second part with a large diameter is installed in such a way that a sliding effect appears. This will allow you to tilt the top of the structure by moving the top tube.

Final part

To fix the pipe in the lower compartment, a hole is drilled for the fixing screw. A pipe with a diameter of ¾ is soldered, which will allow you to maintain alignment, as well as get an original look. As a stopper, you can use a ¼ bolt, which is attached to the outside handle of the tap. The ceiling can be made in one of the ways described above, attaching it with screws, painting it with copper or golden paint.

The rubber bushing is mounted in the opposite end of the fitting, after which the end of the wire is cut off and pulled inside the pipe to the cartridge. The lamp is screwed into the cartridge, around which the casing is clamped. Such a lamp made of water pipes will make it possible to provide the right amount of light under various conditions. At the same time, its cost is minimal.

PVC pipe floor lamp

Making lamps from plastic pipes with your own hands is a very simple process. The material is easy to cut. It can be bent after heating. At the same time, it is not expensive, does not pass electricity and can serve as an additional insulator. But it should also be remembered that plastic is subject to melting and deformation, so lamps should be chosen that do not heat up.

If you use pipes with a small diameter, connectors and tees, you can assemble a structure of any configuration, simply by coming up with a suitable design and folding the components according to the type of designer. So, for example, a floor high product, folded through tees, with curved top lines, looks very impressive. Such a lamp can have 4 legs or a wooden round base. The number of installed lamps depends solely on the desire of the creator.

A floor lamp made of a large-diameter pipe, in which patterns are carved, can decorate an artsy living room. Warming up its individual parts with a building hair dryer, you can bend the material and make the pattern voluminous. By cutting off some areas, you can make them more translucent. If desired, paint the surface in any color. All that remains is to fix the light source inside, put everything on a PVC or wooden base and connect the electricity.

The connection of individual elements is strengthened with an adhesive layer, having previously passed a cable of maximum length inside.

The manufacture of decorative products from old cast-iron pipes is in great demand for use in the country. It can be stylish sconces with large shades or a loft-style chandelier assembled in the form of bizarre curving lines with several lamps at the ends.

Home-made lamps are also appropriate as street lighting, installed on wooden posts and the facade of the building. The main thing to remember is that any metal conducts electricity, so you should take care of reliable cable insulation.

For playground

Homemade versions of pipe lamps are perfect for playgrounds. They can be assembled in the form of a fence by inserting lamps inside areas with a large diameter. This design will reliably protect the light source from mechanical damage, and hidden cables completely eliminate the possibility of injury from electricity.

By fixing the pipe along the perimeter of individual entertainment areas, drilling holes in it throughout the entire area and inserting an LED strip inside, you can turn the most banal site into a fairy-tale world.

Wall lamp made of flexible metal-plastic

Metal-plastic pipes have 1 significant advantage over PVC products - they bend. A light source with such a housing can be turned in any direction without worrying that movement will lead to breakage.

For assembly, you will need a blank made of wood or thick plywood. A base is made from it, which is attached to the wall. In addition, you should prepare a pipe of the right size, a suitable cartridge, cable, electrical tape.

Installation instructions

First you need to draw the design of the future product, which will show how to make the main components. To work, you will need a drill, a jigsaw, a clerical knife and a few self-tapping screws.

A blank of any shape is cut from a piece of wood or thick plywood. In the place of the intended fastening of the pipe, a hole of the appropriate diameter is drilled.

For full functioning, a pipe of 20-50 cm (or more) is suitable. It is inserted into the hole in the base. Then an electric cable is passed through the pipe. On the reverse movable side, it is necessary to fix the cartridge. If necessary, you can use additional plumbing fittings.

When the flexible metal-plastic wall lamp is fully assembled, it is screwed to the wall with dowels or self-tapping screws, the LED element is installed and put into operation.

Plastic Tube LED Night Light

If cast iron products are more suitable for making loft-style lamps, then delicate white plastic is best used to create night lamps that fit into any interior. They are decorated with openwork patterns of any stylistic orientation, ranging from exquisite floristry to images of fairy-tale characters.

Manufacturing instructions

Making a plastic lampshade is very simple. To do this, you will need a wooden or metal base with a built-in cartridge, a piece of PVC pipe with a diameter of at least 15 cm and a length of 20-30 cm, a drill with a set of drills, a clerical knife.

To begin with, the edges of the future lampshade are ground and a pattern is applied. Then holes of different sizes are drilled along the marked lines. Oblong lines are cut with a knife. If you want to give the image more realism, you can cut off some areas of the surface, making them thinner to increase throughput. You can change the shape and bends of some sections by heating them with a building hair dryer and arching them.

After the pattern is worked out, the lampshade is attached to the base and the light bulb is screwed in. Now the whole structure is assembled and it can be connected to electricity. If desired, the plafond can be painted.

Chandelier manufacturing technology

It may seem to many that when using pipes and plumbing accessories, the chandelier will look rustic and even clumsy, but this is not so. With the right approach and careful execution, they create a work of art even from such simple materials.

Assembly process

For manufacturing, you will need pieces of metal-plastic pipes, splitters, a ceiling socket, cartridges.

To begin with, they think over the design of the future product and the number of lamps that will be installed. In the center of the whole structure there will be a splitter, to which pipes are connected and bent into the desired shape. Wires are passed through the resulting workpiece. Since the cord will pass through several endpoints, it is recommended to run parallel lines into each individual branch, connecting them only under the ceiling outlet, excluding breaks inside the chandelier.

Cartridges are fixed to each pipe at the ends, having previously connected them to the cable. Through a small piece, connect the outlet to the splitter. Then the electricity is connected.

The finished product is painted and supplied with shades. The main thing is that the result pleases the inhabitants of the house.
