Australia is a magnificent place with unparalleled natural setting and unique geographical location. Many people desire to visit the country because of its wildlife, climate, picturesque coast line of blue Pacific and Indian oceans, surfing schools, beautiful people and sightseeing attractions of Sydney. People say there are some pros and cons of living in this place.
Firstly, the best benefits of moving to Australia are its warm climate, great weather and swimming in the warm ocean almost throughout the year. Foreign visitors are always astonished at the variety of birds and animals there: kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devils, bats, wombats, echidnas, emus, crocodiles, numerous spiders and other insects. Moreover, good and warm weather is favourable for leisure sports and outdoor recreation, that is why locals spend their time in public pools, ride bikes and surf a lot.
Furthermore, Australia is a safe and politically stable state. There is a plenty of opportunities to make a decent living there because of developed health system, good schools, social services. Some recent studies show that the country is a suitable place to raise children there because mothers and pregnant women can get decent allowances. Health benefits are accessible not only for local, but immigrants too.
However, there are some disadvantages of living in Australia. On the one hand, wildlife is beautiful, but on the other hand it can be very dangerous because of such uninvited guests as snakes and spiders in somebody’s dwelling or sharks in the ocean. Besides, taxes are very high and its system is really complicated. Despite the high-class medical system, skin cancer rates are the highest ones in the world.
As a result, the pros outweigh the cons and it seems to be the right balance for a great and happy life.

Многие люди хотят посетить эту страну из-за ее дикой природы, климата, живописного побережья синих Тихого и Индийского океанов, школ серфинга, красивых людей и достопримечательностей Сиднея. Говорят, что у жизни здесь есть свои достоинства и недостатки.
Во-первых, самыми главными преимуществами поездки в Австралию являются теплый климат, великолепная погода и плавание в теплом океане практически круглый год. Иностранцы всегда восхищаются многообразием здешних птиц и животных: кенгуру, коалы, Тасманские дьяволы, летучие мыши, вомбаты, ехидны, страусы Эму, крокодилы, многочисленные пауки и прочие насекомые. Более того, хорошая и теплая погода располагает к активным развлечениям и отдыху на природе, поэтому местные жители проводят время в общественных бассейнах, катаются на велосипедах и много занимаются серфингом.
Кроме того, Австралия - безопасное и политически стабильное государство. Существует множество возможностей для достойной жизни здесь благодаря приличной системе здравоохранения, хорошим школам, социальным услугам. Последние исследования показывают, что эта страна - подходящее место для того, чтобы растить здесь детей, потому что матери и беременные женщины получают приличные пособия. Медицина доступна не только для местных, но и для иммигрантов тоже.
Однако у жизни в Австралии есть и недостатки. С одной стороны, дикая природа - прекрасна, но с другой стороны она может быть очень опасной из-за таких незваных гостей в чьем-то жилище как змеи и пауки или акул в океане. Кроме того, налоги очень высокие и их система достаточно сложная. Несмотря на медицину высокого уровня, показатели частоты возникновения рака кожи здесь самые высокие в мире.
В итоге, достоинства превосходят недостатки по количеству, что кажется прекрасным балансом для потрясающей и счастливой жизни.

Its total area is more than 7,6 million square kilometers and it is 30 times bigger than the area of Great Britain. Despite that, the population of Australia is not a large one - about 23 million people which is almost three times smaller than the population of the UK.
Австралия - единственная страна на нашей планете, которая занимает целый континент, хотя и самый маленький. The climate of Australia cannot be described as a pleasant one: it"s hot and wet in the South, generally mild in the centre and hot and extremely dry in the North. The climate differences are mainly formed by the long mountain range that stretches across almost the whole continent and divides the hot dry lands of the mainland from the juicy lands close to the coasts. However, Australia is one of the oldest lands of our planet and no wonder that the landscape is mainly flat. But it is not boring at all - incredible colours of Australian deserts, salt lakes and strange rocks are really fascinating.

Australia is a part of the British Commonwealth and . The nation"s capital is Canberra - a beautiful green city with numerous parks and squares. The modern history of the continent dates back to 1770 when Terra Australis Incognita was discovered by Captain James Cook. The first British settlements appeared there in 1788. But the old history of the Native Australians is much older - the archeologists discovered paintings on the rocks that are about 40 thousand years old. The unique culture and traditions of their ancectors are carefully kept by the Aboriginals till nowadays.
